It'd been approximately a week since the war had come to a halt and it was only now I'd decided to properly look into the Seraph Of The End. I was in the army's library thinking of any possible correlations.
I was seated at the end of the table, chewing on a chocolate bar. I thought a good place to start was to find a Bible, I mean it's talking about angels so why not?
I went to the religious section and looked through the bookshelves. While I searched for a Bible I also tried to spot a possible book about the seraph of the end. When I eventually did find a Bible I grabbed one but continued walking to the end of the isle, nowhere did I find a book about the Seraph Of The End. I considered asking a librarian but decided against it as it seems to be a 'taboo' topic.
Returning to my spot, I opened the book to the contents page.
"Let's see, seraph of the end." I muttered to myself,
"Seraph of the end...the end...ah." I found the last book, Revelation.
I quickly turned to the page and scanned through the pages,
"Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and they were given seven trumpets."
Was the first verse to catch my eye. Does that mean they're currently 7 angels?
"Hey, Y/N." I jumped at the sudden voice and stiffly turned around to find Shinya grinning at me brightly,
"Hello Shinya." I replied behind clenched teeth,
"Oh, did I scare you? Sorry~" he didn't let me answer, "I never knew you were religious, he took a seat in the chair next to me,
"I'm not." I blinked at him,
"Why are you reading a bible then?"
I looked down at the bible, "Oh, this? Well..."
Should I tell Shinya? He could be very useful as he's close to Guren.
"Can you keep a secret?"
"Of course I can."
I narrowed my eyes,
Shinya's voice became serious, "You know I can, Y/N. What is it?"
I lifted my pinky finger, "I know, pinky promise."
Shinya rolled his eyes and connected his pinky finger with mine,
"I'm not joking, I will cut off your arms in your sleep if you even breath about this."
"I need those..."
"Yeah, anyway." I lowered my voice, "What do you know about The Seraph Of The End?"
"The Seraph Of The End? Hm, let me see. It's a curse- just the basic stuff really. I know more but it'll take me a while to recall everything."
"Oh, you see, I was in Guren's office and I found this book-"
"What were you doing in Guren's office?" Shinya interrupted, cheekily raising and eyebrow,
I huffed, "Oh, I don't know what exactly do you do in Guren's office?"
"Work?"
"Exactly. Can I finish?"
"Yes, continue." He stared at me amused,
"Anyway, I found this book about the seraph of the end. I didn't read all of it but I found some key stuff." I managed to recite all the information I'd gained from the book to Shinya, he rubbed his chin in concentration as he focused on what I was telling him,
"After I read that, Guren took the book off me and put it somewhere where I couldn't reach and tried to distract me; it kept bothering me so here I am now."
"I see. So you're trying to find links in the Bible now?"
"Right." I nodded,
Shinya hummed, "Have you found anything then?"
"Well, a verse which suggested there could possibly be 7 angels and 7 trumpets."
Shinya seemed to be deep in thought as he spoke, "You carry on searching I'll see if I can piece anything together."
I scrunched up my forehead in curiosity, he had that look where he seemed to know something, I left it and continued flicking through the pages and it wasn't long until I stumbled on something else:
"A third of humanity was killed by those three plagues..."
"Then I heard a loud voice speaking from the temple to the seven angels: "Go and pour out the seven bowls of God's anger on the earth!"
"The plague." I muttered, "Shinya, does this sound familiar to you?" I showed him the verses and he sighed,
"That sounds like the plague; I always hear the vampires saying the reason it happened was because God was angry, yadiyadiya. The thing is I'm not sure how many were killed by it."
"Oh," I agreed, "Also the horsemen of the apocalypse, but if that's true then does that mean they're 5 more we have to wait for?"
"I guess so,"
"Have you managed to remember anything?"
"Yes, it's a lot though."
"We have time." I leaned forward,
"I assume you're aware of The Thousand Nights, correct?"
"Yes." I said slowly,
"Good. Even though Mahiru mostly developed the cursed gear by herself, they were partially responsible as well before the Imperial Demons also got involved."
"Mhm."
"However, it's also believed that they were the ones that activated the curse. It hasn't been proven but everyone knew they were meddling with it; they are the first suspects."
"Oh."
"You knew Yuu used to live in an orphanage, right?"
"Yeah, isn't it part of his last name?"
"Yes, well his new one, Mahiru and The Thousand Nights were using the children there to experiment on the curse."
My eyes widened, "You're kidding..."
"Nope." He continued, "Not only that but she gave Guren a list of names of the children who were being experimented on some you may recognise."
I nodded for him to continue,

Shiho Kimizuki
Mirai Kimizuki
Yoichi Saotome
Tomoe Saotome
Mikaela Shindo"
"I recognise only 3 of those people and can assume 2 are siblings, who's Mikaela?"
"Oh you haven't heard." Shinya chuckled, "Yuu ended up stabbing his old friend."
"HUH?!" I exclaimed,
"Mikaela is a vampire and Yuu's old friend. Yuu stabbed him but didn't kill him and ended up getting his ass beat by Guren."
"Please tell me your joking." I rubbed my temples,
"About him getting his ass beat, yes. It was actually a punch-"
"Shinya!"
"Did I lie?"
Suddenly a vital thought crossed my mind, "Hang on a minute. You said Yuu was among those list of children experimented on, correct?"
"Correct."
"Remember Yuu 2.0," I made quote marks around the 2.0, "He was chanting about killing sinners and human when he was possessed or whatever and he also had those black wings."
"Oh shit, yeah." He gasped, "That means Guren is also involved."
"Right."
"Kimizuki's sister is receiving treatment for the virus, however if her name is on there I doubt the most she is getting is just treatment for the virus."
"The Imperial Demon's know about the list?"
"Well Guren was kind of forced to show them."
"I see, well there's no way they're not experimenting on her." I sighed, "I guess there's nothing we can actually do."
"Correct." Shinya rolled his eyes,
"Doesn't mean we can't try!" I said standing up and marching out the library,
Shinya caught up with me and grabbed my wrist, "Hohoho it's not your time to die yet." He pulled me in a different direction,
I huffed, "So what are we going to do?" I whined,
"Nothing. Not now anyway."
"Oh alright."
"Good, we're going to train now."
I whipped my head to look at him, "You never sai-"
"I said now."
"You can't do that."
"I sure can." He threw his arm around my shoulder and dragged me away,
I groaned, as I was dragged away.

Mito and I had become very close since we started living together. She was someone I could trust with everything whether that be secrets or my life. She was harsh with the guys but it's funny how she could easily switch personalities when talking to me.
"Ugh, those stupid vampires should just attack. I'm so bored." I groaned stuffing popcorn into my mouth, eyes fixated on the TV,
"Hah, be careful what you wish for. There was a point I wasn't able to sleep for 3 days as I was on duty it will probably be longer next time." She replied, her focus was mainly on the movie in front of us,
I leaned my head against her shoulder and she leaned hers on top of my head, "At this point I'm tired of getting too much sleep. Losing sleep doesn't sound so bad."
"You're crazy."
"I know."
"Why are we watching this?" I raised an eyebrow at the couple on the screen,
"You wanted to watch it, Y/N."
"Me?"
"Oh, this one looks good" she imitating me,
"I think you got the wrong movie." I said shrugging,
"Yeah, yeah. Anyway since we're on the topic, let's talk about you and Guren."
"How does that relate?"
"Shouldn't have picked a romcom."
I sighed, and started banging my forehead against her shoulder,
"Hey give yourself brain damage after you spill." She grabbed my shoulders and held me in place,
I frowned, "Spill what?" I rolled my eyes,
"You know what I'm talking about. Anything between you two yet?"
"Ha, why weren't you like this when you saw I was close friends with Shinya?" Even though I said that, I still considered telling her.
"Who cares about Shinya?" She muttered,
I burst out laughing, "I'm telling him that."
"Snake." She rolled her eyes, "Anyway does that mean you're friend zoning him?"
"Listen, if you eve-" I began to warn her but she squealed in excitement before I could finish, so I pressed my palm against her mouth to silence her before continuing, "As I was saying, if you tell ANYONE, especially Shinya. You best go into hiding, yes?"
She excitedly nodded and hummed in agreement against my hand, I moved my hand and she was silent as she stared at me in anticipation,
"Ok." I spoke slowly, "Me and Guren are dating."
She gasped loudly, "You're being serious right?"
"I wouldn't have threatened you if I wasn't."
"OH MY GOSH, Y/N! HOW LONG?"
I became shy, "It hasn't been that long, nearly a week?" My hands cupped my warm cheeks,
Mito suddenly became serious, "Hey, I have something I need to tell you. I think you should know."
"What is it?" I cocked my head to the side,
"To put it lightly, Guren's popular." She cringed at her own words and I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion so she continued, "By popular I mean among the girls. I was one of them..." She looked slightly embarrassed,
"Why didn't you tell me you had a crush on him, Mito-"
"Hey, don't give me none of that. I don't like him anymore." She chuckled,
I breathed out in relief,
"But they're still people who do, as in people in our squad."
"You mean Sayuri and Shigure?"
"Yeah, well I'm not sure about Shigure you can hardly tell what she's thinking but the possibility is still there. Someone who's a definite is Sayuri."
"Yeah, you're right. What do I do?"
"If you tell her it could look bad, especially when she hasn't told you anything."
"So I shouldn't say anything?"
"Wait until you and Guren are going to tell everyone. You can't keep this a secret forever, especially with Shinya."
"To be honest, I have this fear that Shinya knows already." I laid my head back on her shoulder,
She cackled, "It's a valid fear."
I groaned,
"Anyway, next question."
"There's more...?" I breathed out,
"Have you kissed yet?"
"Yes..."
She squealed, "Is he good?"
"Mito!" I gave her an exasperated look,
"Well is he?"
"I don't know what you expect me to say."
"Ok fine, have you guys ha-"
"Ok that's enough. We're watching a horror movie." I exclaimed,
"You know I don't like horror movies."
"Exactly."
"Aw, Y/N!" She whimpered,
I laughed as I turned on the movie and she clung onto my arm.

Anyway I never knew this book would get any sort of recognition. At the moment Unpredictable is no. 2 on the Guren tag and I think at some point it was no. 1. When i saw this I was so happy, I really do love you guys so much and you inspire me to continue this series.
Please also understand that I'm still developing my writing skills and this is something I do for fun, so I apologise if it doesn't meet your expectations.
