Jisoo's POV
"Unnie! Jennie's waking up" Rosé said which made me turn to look at her as she slowly fluttered her eyes open
"Jen?" I asked sincerely, she slowly turned her head to look at me, then she looked around, as if thinking where she is, she furrowed her brows then felt her forehead, a cool damp cloth over it.
"Where.. What.. happened?" she asked
"You were sent here cause you collapsed and lost consciousness" Rosé answered
She paused, trying to remember what had happened to her.
"Your photoshoot partner found you on the ground, shivering" I said, remembering the man who had brought her to the hospital "He brought you here and he almost looked, worried."
"Yah Unnie, he informed Jisoo Unnie about you then he waited for us to arrive before leaving" Rosé explained to Jennie, who looked uninterested.
"Did you know him before Jenjen? He seems familiar to me.." Rosé asked, she looked like she already knew the answer
I silently glanced at Jennie who looked emotionless, leaning against the pillow..
"Nope" she answered calmly
"Why did I collapse anyway?" Jennie added
"The doctor said you had a fever since yesterday, you already had the symptoms but you chose to ignore it and you also took the wrong medicine. Which made your situation worse.." I explained "He advised for you not to work until you recover and you have to take your medicine on the right time as well"
"Yah Jen, stop being a workaholic.. You know what happened to Jisoo Unnie's mom.." she paused, remembering something, then turned to look at me "Mianhae Unnie"
"Its fine" I said "Rosé's right. You've gotta rest sometimes cause you're only human."
"Look who's talking.." she snickered, rolling her eyes
I just smiled sheepishly at her as a reply.
"Anyway, I need to fetch Lisa and her mom at the airport so Rosé" I turned to look at her "Watch Jennie, and let her eat lunch properly"
Rosé nodded and grabbed the food from the counter
"Jisoo Unnie made this specially for you" Rosé said, showing the kimchi fried rice to Jennie "Now say ahh" she continued as she puts the chopsticks near Jennie's lips
"I'm not a baby, I can eat by myself" Jennie muttered
"Aww but I wanna feed my Unnie" Rosé pouted which made Jennie roll her eyes as she opened her mouth slightly
I chuckled to myself as Rosé feeds Jennie, standing up and turning to leave.
I drove the car to the airport, checking on my phone to see if Lisa messaged me, and she did.
[Unnie we're on our way out, meet us outside at the parking lot]
I unbuckled my seatbelt then went out of the car, slamming the door shut as I walk towards the parking lot's entrance, my phone on hand.
Just as I was about to text Lisa, I heard her voice shouting my name not far
"Jisooooooo Unnnieeeeeeeee!!!" she waved at me, then ran. Behind her I saw her mother on a wheelchair being pushed by her caretaker
Lisa then jumped over me and pulled me into a very tight hug, which made me almost lose balance and suffocate.
"Er.. Lisa you can l..let go now.." I said
She parted then giggled cutely, she looked happy.
"I cannn't wait to show mom all the spots here in Korea!!! So Unnie can we have a vacation together with you and the girlsss?" she asked with gleaming eyes "Can we can we???"
I sighed "Sure, after I deal with everything and make sone arrangements" I shrugged
"Yessss" she said and turned to look at her mother beside her, staring at her weirdly with a smile plastered on her face.
"By the way, mom you remember her?" she asked her mom
"Of course I do, hello Jisoo." she greeted then smiled at me "My you've grown, you look even more prettier than the last time I saw you"
"Thank you Aunt Alice" I said gratefully, pulling her into a hug
"What about mee?" Lisa said, pouting
I let go of Lisa's mom as we both chuckle
"Of course you're pretty too. After all you're my daughter" Aunt Alice said then winked
We walked towards my car, Lisa still blabbering about what they did in Thailand and how she tripped and fell on the fountain at the park
I opened the back door and helped Aunt Alice get in the car safely, Lisa folded her wheelchair then set it at the trunk.
Lisa was the last one to get in the car, she sat at the passenger's seat then gave me a thumbs up. I started the car and slowly drove out of the airport.
The car ride was silent, only the music playing from the radio could be heard.
"By the way Lisa.." I started, my eyes still glued on the road ahead "I'm just dropping you guys off at the mansion, I need to get back to the hospital after that."
"Mwo?!" she asked, taken aback "Hospital?"
"Ne. Apparently, Jennie being the stubborn girl she is, collapsed at the agency because she ignored her fever and took the wrong medicine, luckily someone witnessed the scene and immediately brought her to the hospital." I said, sighing
"Aiisht that girl, I told her to look after herself more often! I'm gone for two days and this happens? Hmp." she pouted, clearly annoyed. She doesn't like it if the others get hurt or sick.
"I'm gonna go with you to visit her at the hospital, is that okay with you mom?" Lisa asked, facing her mother
"Of course, send my regards to them." she replied
"Em, take good care of her for me will ya?" Lisa asked the caretaker
"Of course, no need to tell me that." she replied calmly, I looked at the caretaker through the rearview mirror, she's suprisingly young, around my age or younger. I wonder if she's newly hired. I haven't seen her the last time I visited.
I decided not to think too much about it and focus my gaze back to the road.
As soon as we dropped Aunt Alice and her caretaker at the mansion, I drove back to the hospital, and the usually quiet room became noisy because of Lisa lecturing Jennie.
"I told you to look after yourself! Look what happened now?" Lisa paused, slumping on the sofa nearby
"I was-"
"And then you even took the wrong medicine!! Oh gosh Unnie are you dumb?" Lisa added
"I was in a hurry-"
"What if no one found you huh?! You even proceeded to do the photoshoot even though you know you're sick!" Lisa continued ranting
Jennie just sighed and leaned back on the pillow, she must've figured its no use explaining since she won't shut up
"And you always focus on-"
We heard a knock, suddenly the door opened and the doctor came in, which finally made Lisa shut up.
"She's doing fine now but we have to observe her for a bit more just in case. She can be discharged tomorrow" the doctor explained as we nodded altogether
"Thank you doctor." Rosé said
The doctor nodded then left, Jennie yawned and laid down.
"I'm gonna rest for a while.. Must've been... effect of medicine" she muttered, her eyes half closed
The room fell silent as we watch Jennie close her groggy eyes
We decided not to make sound and mind our own business, we were all on our phones, browsing through the social media.
I suddenly felt odd. Like.. something's missing.
And I realized Taehyung haven't texted nor called me these past few days, I don't know why I feel weird about it.
But I think I'm starting to get used of getting a dose of his annoying self daily...
...and I'm not liking it.
