Once TaeHyung's condition had been stabilized, I called TaeHyung's mother. She had finally got all the preparations done for her to spend every day next to TaeHyung.
"Mother," I spoke in Korean, "There is something I must do. There's somewhere I must go." The tears I held back so hard found a way out anyway. I'm not a crybaby... I swear!
TaeHyung's mother hugged me tightly, accepting all my tears into her warm embrace.
"I'm going to save him no matter what it takes."

The next two years I spent in the United States. I gave up my dreams of becoming a singer because I had found a new dream. Save his life. I called TaeHyung's mother every night and made sure everything was well in Korea. Every day that passed made her heart grow sadder.
I worked like there was no tomorrow. I barely ate nor slept. I even skipped my best friend's wedding. Needless to say, she was very angry.
The machine finally worked. But it sent us back 25 years. The more we worked on it, the more precise the traveling was. But it was taking too long.
After one and a half years since it started working, we got it down to 10 years. In the process of the trials, I learned about the consequences.
When traveling through time, the aftereffect is terrible headaches. Sometimes, you pass out for hours, even days, after traveling.
Once you turn the watch, you can't return to the original time period until three whole months later.
Also, before an event happens, there are always small signs of things that indicate a future event.
The most important thing I learned was that in order to prevent an event from happening, there has to be an outlet of that chaos elsewhere. For example, if you wanted to prevent someone from getting hit by a car, you would need to take some damage on yourself. You could get a scrape, or fall down a set of stairs. The amount of damage you take in is the amount of damage taken away from the actual event.
If someone fell down the stairs in order to take the pain away from someone who was going to get hit by a car, that person would then receive less damage from the car accident.
This is the information I needed. In this case, I just need to take all the pain away. This is it. It's finally time. Kim TaeHyung, I'm coming for you.
Before stealing the watch from the lab, I plotted out my plan. I did research on events that took place 10 years ago so that I could convince the people around me in 2018.
It's finally the day. It's finally the time. All the other workers have gone out for lunch. This is my time. I grabbed the watch off the construction machine and replaced it with a different watch. I placed the watch in a plastic bag and slid it into the inside pocket of my lab coat.
I casually walked out, avoiding eye contact and used a back exit to leave the building. The second I walked through the sensors, the watch caused the alarm to go off. I started running, the heavy rain didn't stop me. The security guards ran after me.
I quickly jumped into the taxi that I had requested and drove all the way to the side of my street.
Splash Splash Splash.
It was pouring rain but I didn't bother me the slightest as I ran through it without a raincoat or an umbrella... I was in too much of a rush.
As I got closer to my apartment, my heart started to beat faster. It was finally happening. I ran faster out of the paranoia of someone following me. I knew they were right on my tail. I had to hurry, there was no time to waste. After 2 years of hard work, it was finally time.
