Christian
“Hot dang,” I said as I was trying to catch my breath. I had to
admit that Kate was a freaking amazing kisser.
“What,” Kate blushed.
“That. Was. Awesome!” I said separating each part into it’s own sentence.
“Wow,” Kate shook her head.
“Shut up,” I said.
“Christian, does it bother you that I don’t tell you that I love you,” Kate
asked me out of nowhere.
“No, not at all,” I told her.
“Why not,” she asked. “I mean, most guys would most likely be bothered
by it.”
“Again, I’m not like most guys,” I explained.
“I know, I just found that out,” she smiled.
“What’s that supposed to mean,” I asked, confused.
“That kiss was genuinely amazing,” Kate said with a huge smile on
her face.
“Well, thank you,” I laughed.
“Wow,” she replied.
“Do you want me to do it again,” I smirked.
“I would say yes, but I bet we’re going to leave soon,” she told me.
“What’s your point,” I asked.
“We kind of still have to make sure we have everything,” she pointed out.
“Crap, stupid things,” I said. “You know we could skip doing that and
have our own fun.”
“What do you mean by that,” Kate asked.
Kate
I knew exactly what Christian wanted, I just wanted to mess around with
him.
“Don’t play dumb, ou know what I meant,” Christian smirked.
“I’m not ready for that and you know that,” I told him.
“Actually we haven’t really talked about that,” Christian said. “Plus, that’s
not what I meant.” He was right, we had never talked about it.
“That’s because I’m not comfortable talking about it because of what
happened to me when I was younger. Anyway, no matter what you were
actually talking about I think that I’ve had enough for today.”
“I know,” Christian said. “No offense, but I wanna know the truth.”
“To what,” I asked confusedly.
“Are you one of those people who swear off getting sexually involved until
they’re married?”
“What,” I exclaimed. “No! I thought you were, though.”
“Not really,” he shrugged. “My mom wants me to, but what happens happens.”
“Okay we’re moving on because this is definitely not a conversation I want
to get into when my mom’s downstairs.”
“Oh well,” Christian said.
“What the heck,” I asked him. Okay, so both of us definitely had sides we had
never seen of each other before now.
“We’ve been going out for a while now and I do hope that we will someday
get married or at least still be close friends,” he smirked.
“Shut up,” I blushed. I couldn’t help myself when he talked sweet like that.
“Nah, cause it was cute. Plus, after that kiss I’m going to do everything in my
power to keep you for myself for as long as you still like me.”
“Well thank you my Prince Charming,” I said.
“I’m no prince,” Christian protested.
“Why not,” I asked him.
“Because princes always think that they’re the only ones who matter when
in my heart you’re the only one who matters.”
“Thank you, hot stuff,” I said.
“You’re welcome, sugar cookie,” Christian replied.
“You’re a weirdo, chocolate chip,” I told him.
“Hey, you’re the one who started all of this,” Christian said.
“Zip it,” I said.
Christian
“Kate, you’re very weird,” I told her.
“But you love me for it,” she smirked.
“You know I do,” I said with a smile.
“Heck yeah I do,” Kate laughed.
“We should probably start gathering our things now,” I suggested.
“I know, but I really don’t want to,” Kate complained.
“But you have to,” I told her. “Plus, there’s not that much to gather
considering the fact that you’re so organized.”
“I know,” she replied.
“Let’s get started,” I said.
“With what,” she smirked.
“Packing you little weirdo,” I replied with a smile of my own.
“I know,” Kate said. “Hey, I’ve been thinking.”
“About what,” I asked.
“Know when you mentioned getting bracelets for me back when we were
in Mt. Pleasant?”
“Yeah,” I said cautiously.
“Well, why buy them online when we can just go to the store while we’re
here,” Kate said.
“We can arrange that,” I told her. “Although, that does mean that you have
to pack.”
“Fine,” she grumbled, but I could tell she was trying not to laugh.
“You can’t pull off that tone,” I smirked.
“And why not,” she challenged.
“Because you can’t help yourself not to laugh,” I said with a smile playing
on my lips.
“How do you know that,” Kate asked.
“Because I’m gonna make you laugh,” I told her.
“How,” she asked.
“I’m gonna do this,” I said and then I started tickling her side and her belly.
“Stop, you’re cheating,” Kate laughed.
“How am I cheating,” I asked. “Because if you tickle me of course I’m going
to laugh. That means that I’m not laughing due to how I said what I said.”
“That made no sense at all,” I told her.
“Shut up, you know what I meant,” Kate said as she punched my arm playfully.
“Okay,” I agreed, “I know what you meant.”
“Okay, let’s get packing,” Kate said.
“Okay,” I replied.
Kate
“So,” I said, “do you really want to delay our trip home to go to Hottopic?”
“Anything you want, I’m happy to give,” Christian answered.
“Oh really,” I grinned.
“Hey, don’t get any crazy ideas; I don’t have that much money,” he said
which made me laugh.
“I would never make you pay for anything out of your comfort zone,” I told
him.
“I know you wouldn’t,” Christian said while he sat down on the bed.
“You have so much confidence in me,” I smiled.
“Come here,” he said. I walked over to him, and he pulled me onto his lap.
“What’s wrong,” I asked. I had to admit that I was a little more than just a
little worried.
“I just want to spend a little more alone time with you before we leave,”
Christian said, then he gently kissed my lips.
“Okay,” I said.
“Kate,” I heard my mom call.
“In our room,” I called back to her. I heard her coming up the stairs so I slid
off of Christian’s lap.
“Why’d you do that,” Christian asked quietly.
“I’ll explain later,” I whispered just before my mom walked into the room.
“What are you two up to,” my mom asked.
“Just finished gathering our things,” I said.
“Did I interrupt something,” she asked suspiciously.
“No,” I assured her.
“Sure,” she replied slowly. “Anyway, Christian’s uncle and I were just
wondering if you’re ready to go home yet?”
“Actually if it’s okay with the two of you, we want to go to Hottopic
before we head home,” I told her.
“Okay, I guess we can go there for a few minutes,” my mom replied.
“Thanks,” I said.
“But we should probably get going,” she told us.
“Okay, we’ll be down in a few minutes,” I said.
“Okay, I’ll be downstairs waiting,” she said awkwardly before leaving the
room. Thankfully she closed the door behind her.
“Should we go downstairs or continue doing what we were doing before
she interrupted us,” Christian asked.
“Hmm, what do you think,” I asked.
“Maybe continue,” Christian replied with a smile.
“No, we’ll continue once we get home,” I said. Saying this cause him to frown.
“But I wanted to continue,” he said.
“Sorry, but the sooner we leave the sooner we’ll get home which means
we’ll be able to continue.”
“Okay, let’s go,” Christian said.
He stood up and reached out his hand. I grabbed it and we both headed
downstairs. Time to go home, I thought to myself.
