Someone said that from hate to love theirs is only one step...
Jennie sat on the couch, defeated from the battle she got with her members. All of them were insisting on the fact that she should go on the blind date arranged by the one and only Park Chaeyoung.
She sighed.
Dating was not an option for her, well, that is ever since Mino left her. After BlackPink debut, the dating thing shouldn't be a priority anymore. But for the girls, it becomes one after her best friend Kim Jisoo threw the bomb that she was dating someone, and it wasn't just someone. It was J-hope from BTS.
But her nightmare of dating and falling in love didn't end there. When YG approved their relationship immediately, BTS and BlackPink become best friends. There was not a day were either all the members or at least 4 of them were in their dorm.
And that's how she met the person that for some reason she hates yet love at the same time.
His name? Kim Taehyung
When they met she find him really handsome, I mean it's Kim Taehyung whom we are talking about, one of the most handsome men on earth. Hold that, he's currently entitled the Most Handsome Man in the World.
She was shy at him because for some reason her heart flutters with just the sound of his laughter or even just his crazy behavior.
But I guess what they say is true: don't just the book by its cover...
One day, she was heading to her bedroom to the kitchen when she heard those magical words that make her admiration and love to him turn into hate and regret.
"Come on Tae, don't tell me you don't find Jennie attractive" She heard Jimin say.
"Yeah, she nice and cute but...Jimin let's be honest here"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean she just another dumb and overrated girl from the Big 3 that believes she is beautiful and knows how to manage people"
Her hands balled into a fist, blood starting to run up to her head. She didn't want to hear any more of it.
Without even thinking, she went into the kitchen making Taehyung and Jimin jump in surprise. After grabbing a glass of water, she went into Taehyung and spilled over his head.
"You know Tae, I might be from the Big 3 but I didn't train 6 years straight on a company, skip meals, set aside my dream of becoming a lawyer, and sleep so late to make my voice better, just for a guy who's group just reached a certain fame and thinks that he already knows everything, to tell people or your members that I'm dumb. Tae, without your group, you're nothing. I hope you realize that. And please, keep your feet where it started. You're gonna get yourself in trouble because of that." she told him before turning my back.
After that, the visits become frequently and the suffering becomes bigger. Jennie took the decision of closing herself into her room or going out with Nayeon whenever Tae is around.
Little by little she started evading him but she didn't expect that her members will think something way different.
"Come on Jen" Lisa whined "I really believe you should go"
"True besides, my babe told me, he'll a nice guy for you" Rosé continued. They weren't even telling them who I'm going to be on a date with.
"I really doubt everything that comes from Yoongi's mouth Chae. Please, guys, I'm really happy like this"
"That's not true Jendeukie, every time BTS is here you go out with Nayeon or lock on yourself in your room"
"Guys, this has nothing to do with you two having J-hope and Yoongi or Lisa having Kookie as your boyfriends. You guys being in a relationship doesn't automatically I should be as well."
"I-I'm not dating Jungkook" Lisa stuttered.
"Yeah right Lisa" Rosé chuckle "You're going Jennie Kim"
"Or we are taking all your Gucci clothes and burn them"
That's how she ended up being with a black dress, high heels and a ponytail getting dragged by her members to the restaurant wishing her a good luck.
"Okay Jennie Kim, let's do this" she muttered to herself.
She entered the restaurant feeling nervous trying to not screw her date off. Confidently, she asked for her reservation on the receptionist who greeted her. Just when she thought this will be just an ordinary date, imagine her surprise when the waiter guides her to her table and he jaw dropped when she saw no other than 'her favorite person' who was seated waiting patiently for his date.
And they were even given a privcvate room to date.
"T-Taehyung?!" He looked up and smiled slightly
"Hi Jennie"
She sits down after Taehyung pulled a chair for her, "Why are you here? Did you know it's me you're going to meet?"
"I-I already knew you were coming...so how's everything?"
"Look Taehyung I don't know what you are planning" she huffed.
"I swear I'm not planning anything" He looked offended a little but that doesn't make her like the situation still.
"You know, we should just leave and head into each other's dorm" she stood up with the determination of leaving but stopped immediately at the sound of his voice.
"You hate me that much huh?"
She swallowed hard "I-I do"
"I don't believe you..."
"Well I don't care" she grabs her purse and starts walking.
"I BROUGHT YOU HERE BECAUSE I NEED TO TELL YOU SOMETHING" he screamed making her stop "I LOVE YOU JENNIE KIM"
Her heart stopped...
She turned her attention
Was she hearing this right? Taehyung just confessed to her?
She turned around "Look, stop this I'm not in the mood for your pranks"
He started getting near "I'm not playing okay? I'm telling you the truth"
He lifted his hand and brushed off the strands of hair which fell loosely on my face.
She didn't want to listen to his words but then the words he said to Jimin oppa kept replaying in her mind.
Another dumb and overrated girl...
"When we met I really find you attractive and cute, but somehow I-I found you similar to Irene..."
"To your ex?" she mumbled. confused.
"Yes, she was just like you but when we started dating I started knowing her real self, she was selfish and mean to me that's why I broke up with her..." he took her hands.
"So you decided it's okay to roast me that day in front of Jimin, telling him all those things?! I was starting to like you..."A tear fell from her face.
"That day I swear I didn't mean it, I did it because I didn't want to end like how I ended with Irene...I knew you were there I knew you were listening"
"Didn't you think I wasn't like her? That you could get to know me?"
"I-I felt it when you told me everything, and I really want to make it up to you but you stop appearing at the reunions and I-I started missing you..."
"You-You.." she started hitting him while crying "I hate you so much but at the same time I love you"
"I hate you and love you too" he smiled as he cupped her cheeks."I want something different with you"
"The date is all mess up" she pouted.
"You look beautiful and sexy"
"Shut up and let's grab some ice cream"
"Let me guess a milk flavor one?"
She nodded taking his hand and walking outside.
I guess another saying is true: you can love a person you use to hate.
