"I'm so happy school is over now" Elena said as she laid back on her towel
"Until college" Lily said ruining the moment
"Yeah whatever" Elena said
All three of us laid out in my garden on our towels in our bikinis. It was boiling hot and the sun was beaming, we finished school two weeks ago and now we had weeks of before we go to college. All of us had applied for the same college, meaning Jack and JJ would be in at the same place as us for once. None of us really knew what we wanted to do, that's why we decided to apply at the same place, they have all different courses, it was called Herrings East College.
"Hey Lil, do you know where Matt is going for college?" I asked realising I'd never asked him before
"Fairview" she said shortening the name of Fairview Dramatic Arts College.
"How are things with Matt?" Elena asked
"They're good I guess" Lily said sounding unsure
"You spend most of your time together so I would hope so" I said
"Yeah, he always asks me to hang out and stuff, I guess we get on well"
"You don't sound sure" I say confused
"No, I am, I'm over Jack now, I just need time to see how things go with Matt" she said slightly defensive
"Hey Grace, do you have any lemonade?" Elena asked changing the subject
"Yeah, I'll go get it" I said sitting up from my relaxed position
When I walked into my kitchen I saw my cat, Ginger, laying on the cold kitchen counter, escaping the heat from outdooors. Next to her was my phone, I picked it up and saw missed calls from Cam, I rung him back.
"Hey, Grace"
"Hey, what did you want?" I asked confused
"I'm with JJ, can we come over, we're so bored" he said
"Well I mean we're having girl time, sunbathing" I tell him
"We'll bring swim suits...GARDEN PARTY" he said getting excited
"NO. You can come over but no party, get Jack and Taylor to come too" I said
"Ayye, I knew you'd come through, see you later" He said hanging up.
I sighed at the last minute plans and got the lemonade Elena had requested.
"The boys are coming over" I told them
"Cams idea I bet" Elena said as she sat up a little, the sun shined on her skin which went well with her lilac bikini
"Him and JJ are bored" I said sitting down her lemonade next to her
"Thanks" she said as I sat it down
"Matts with Taylor I think so that means Matt is going to end up coming" Lily said
"You don't sound too happy about that" I said
"no...I am" she attempted to cover up her attitude
"I wanna swim" I said dipping my toes into my medium sized pool
"I'll swim with you" Elena said standing up
I walked over and put my feet in at the steps, I held Elenas hand when she joined me and we both slowly walked into the water.
"cold, cold, cold" we both whined as we walked into the water.
"Ah, so relaxing" Elena said as she slowly moved through the water
"I love summer" I said "Come and get in" I tried to persuade Lily
"I want to tan" Lily protested
"whatever, moody" I said to her
Within minutes of us being in the pool Cam busted through my back gate with JJ and Jack.
"AAAYE, Started without us!" Cam said as he ran down my garden and jumped into my pool. JJ followed and did the same whilst Jack sat next to Lily and joined her sunbathing. I sat on the side of the pool and tried to listen in on Jack and Lily's conversation as they laid behind me.
"Have fun with Kate" Lily asked with attitude
"Have fun with Matt" Jack quickly replied
"Whatever Jack"
"What, why are you acting like I did something wrong"
"because not only did you lie to me Jack about last summer"
"I explained that on saturday, god" he said getting frustrated
"but you also stayed with me on saturday night, remember saturday night because I do"
"How could I forget saturday night, I'm not a complete jerk, I don't just forget girls I do that kind of...intimate...stuff with" his voice quietened towards the end of his sentence
"Well you had no problem going and seeing Kate the next day so it wouldn't surprise me"
"Me and Kate aren't even like that, neither are we, I don't see why you're getting worked up over it, epsecially when you're now seeing this Matt guy"
"So you and Kate don't do anything sexual, right?" her question almost rhetorical, leaving Jack silent
"Exactly what I thought, whatever Jack I'm over it" she said and joined me at the side of the pool
"Hey" I said acting oblivious to what I had just over heard
"Hey" she said quietly
"HEY MATT, TAYLOR, GET IN" JJ said overly excited when he saw Matt and Taylor walk in through the gate. I jumped up from my seat and ran over to Taylor.
"Hey baby" I said as I grabbed onto him, hugging him.
"Heeey" he said and kissed me "you look good" he said as he studied me
"thankyou" I said as I smiled looking him in the eyes, happy to see him for the first time in a couple days.
He held me from behind as we walked back down to the pool
"I'm gonna throw you in" he warned me
"nooo, oh my god, nooo, don't, don't do it" I screeched
"1...2..."
"no, no, don't TAYLOR"
"THREE..." he shouted and jumped in the pool with me still in his arms
"I really hate you" I tell him as I wrapped my arms around his shoulders
"love you too" he said as he kissed me
"PDA alert" Elena shouted
"shutup" I said splashing some water in her direction
"Yo Jack, put some music on" JJ shouted to Jack who was laid out sunbathing
"For sure" he said jumping up to get my speakers
"Damn, it's hot" Taylor said as he held me by my hips in the water
"mhhhm, good ol' indiana weather" I said "this makes me happy" I tell him as a drip of water falls down my nose
"What does" he says with a smile on his face
"being here with you and just everyone being happy" I said which made him smile more. As he leaned in to kiss me I couldn't help but smile as we began to makeout.
"I gotta pee" I tell him, unrapping my legs from his waist and moving back "be right back" I tell him
"okay bub" he said and laughed
When I got out of the water I saw Lily with her head on Matts chest as they both laid sunbathing, they looked cute as they laughed together at whatever they were talking about.
The day went by fast, Jack and Cam even decided to cook on the barbeque and make us all food, summer days like these were the kind of days I loved, relaxed and fun with all the people I loved being happy.
"Hey Cam are you excited for your party, it's like 2days away right?" Matt asked making conversation
"Yeah man, It's gonna be sick" Cam said with a grin on his face
"I'm gonna get aaaaall the ladies" JJ said
"Yeah bro, same" Cam said pounding his chest with his hand making us all laugh.
Once everyone had left, only me and Taylor were home. Both my parents were at my Dads work party and were staying at a hotel over night.
"Stay tonight...please" I asked Taylor, not wanting him to leave as we laid curled up on my sofa.
"yeah, as long as it's cool with your parents right"
"They're not home" I told him
"Oh right" he said with a smirk on his face
I picked up my phone and checked the time 9:58pm. Me and Taylor were laid on my sofa, in complete darkness.
"Can we go to my room?" I asked, I generally preffered being in my room to any other room in my house
"sure" he said slowly getting up from the position we laid in. I took his hand and slowly walked up the stairs to my room.
"Being in the pool wears me out so much" I said as I walked over to my drawers to get out a pyjama top and nickers "I don't want to sleep though" I tell him
"me either really" he says
I put my tshirt on over my bikini and take it off under my oversized tshirt, putting on some nickers too.
"I'll put some music on" I tell him as I plug in my phone into my speakers
"put on some, SoMo, I looooove him" Taylor requests. i put on a SoMo song and sit on my bed where Taylor lay, half sat up,on his phone. I crawl over and sit myself ontop of his lap making him put his phone down. He went to speak but I cut him off by kissing him instead. My hands rested on his bare chest as he was in nothing but boxers. He rolled me over, his body inbetween my legs and kissed my neck leaving marks with each one, I ran my hands through his hair as he did. I turned off my lamp on my night stand, wanting to be in the dark as things became intense.
I fell asleep in Taylors strong arms wrapped around my upper body, in full comfert.
