After failing a heist, Joker and Y/n were arguing loudly in the bedroom. He was so mad at her for being so clumsy and stupid. She was the reason why he couldn't have plenty of cash.
„You're so useless and stupid, couldn't you just do what I told you?!"
Joker yelled at her and she only shook her head. Normally she was always submissive to him and never questioned nor yelled at him. But she was also in rage.
„If it wasn't me, you'd be dead by now!"
She yelled back and Jokers mouth hung open.
„How dare you speak to me like that? You forgot who you are, brat?"
„Who am I?"
She still had the nerve to push it and Jokers eyes clouded with anger and rage.
„Listen to me you bitch, YOU are the cause of this. You're always in my way and I'm fucking sick of it!"
Y/n got silent after this. She hated when he was mad, especially at her. It was true that she was one of the reasons why the heist didn't go as it was planned. But she rescued his life and managed to get out with him and all of the henchman without a single more scratch.
Sadly Joker didn't believe her when she tried to tell him what she did. He only believed that she, a little girl caused him all the trouble. He blamed it all on her.
After some more fighting, he had enough and told her to sleep somewhere else for the night.
She did what she was told and left him alone to cool down a little bit.
The next day, Joker didn't speak a single word to her and avoided her. He was in his office all day and discussing with Frost how this easy mission could turn into such a disaster.
They were looking at the security camera footage and that's when the realization hit him like a truck. There was a man, pointing his gun at Joker and pulling the trigger. Then Y/n pushed him away and they ran out of the building. After the bullet grazed a tank full of gasoline, the building exploded, but Joker, Y/n and all his men were still alive.
Joker was shocked and in trance. Frost noticed that and carefully placed a hand on his shoulder.
„Sir, everything's alright?"
He blinked a few times and nodded. He told him to leave him alone and Frost immediately obeyed. Y/n really rescued him. Fuck and he was such a dickhead yesterday. But she still made a mistake. Joker cared for her, but he's still a cold hearted monster and can't admit what she did for him and say sorry.
Days passed and Joker have had the strong urge to tell her he's sorry. But every time he tried to say it out loud, the words won't come out and it felt like a invisible hand was choking him.
Soon he was mad at himself at how Y/n made him feel. She bothering his mind and he can't let her get away with that. He had to do something about this problem.

Joker did something unbelievable, but that's what he's well known for. He was unpredictable and sold Y/n to a crime lord.
He still can see her face so vividly when he thinks about that night, when he came to the bedroom and throw a suitcase on the ground and looked in y/ns confused face. He told her it was over between the two and she had a new place to live. She couldn't believe it when she got escorted to a black SUV and some men she didn't know drove her to a old building.
She couldn't understand any single thing when J tried to tell her what's going on and when her new owner told her everything she had to know.
Joker sold Y/n to a rich and kind man. He often does business with him and thought he'd be good to her. Months passed and there were nights when he missed her in his arms at bedtime or when it was when she bothered him while he was working, just to be with him by his side. He was sure she had gone on too and liked her new owner. Joker knew that there was no guarantee that Y/n and the man were
all good. It was what he told himself every day.
He shrugged all negative and bad thoughts off, with the help of whisky. He didn't notice it himself how he changed because of his loss. But Frost was very worried about his boss.
Y/n forgave him for everything what happened before she got in the hands of her new owner.
But she learned to accept her situation.
One night he came to her room and dragged her with him. It was nothing new to her how the man treated her. Joker was the same, but she was sure that he loved her. Even when it was just a little bit, he knew the limits of punishing her. This man doesn't know when to stop. Y/n would beg for him to stop, but he wouldn't bulge and would continue to deliver punch after punch in her sore body.
He took her with him to his business meeting. When they arrived y/n had her glare fixed on the ground all time. She was absentmindedly and didn't even notice that she was at a place she used to spent time with her mister J.
„Good old smile and grin, hey J."
Jokers eyes widened, just as Y/ns after she heard what her owner said.
„Sit pet."
Y/n quickly looked away and sat down. Joker couldn't believe that y/n was here after months of not seeing her. But she changed so much. Her body looked so ugly with all those bruises and scars. She had been though so many shit and the thought of her being in pain made his blood boil.
J tried to shake away the thoughts of Y/n. He focused his glare at the bulky man in front of him. But ever so often his eyes found y/n sitting there and looking so pathetic and small.
He growled and his heart won.
„Would you mind, my friend and look at the weapon storage yourself?"
„Sure thing, mister J."
He stood up and was about to bark at y/n to follow him, but J told him that she could stay put. When they were alone Joker had enough courage to say something to her.
„I missed you..."
Y/n looked up and smiled softly, but this time it was strange. Her face smiled but her eyes didn't. It hurt Joker and the voices screamed at him how stupid he was by selling her to this fucker.
There was an awkward silence between the two, but Joker had to ask her something.
„Do you hate me?"
He was sure she'd say yes. Because he was the cause of her condition.
„I don't hate you. I hate what you did to me."
Her voice barely to hear and Jokers heart ached. Suddenly he heard his business partner coming back and he sighed. There were still so many things on his mind he wanted to tell y/n.
„Weapons look good."
He only nodded and waited till the low life in front of him asked for a deal.
„We have a deal, J?"
„I'll tell you what. You can have everything and I'll get my girl back."
The man looked to his side and shook his head.
„Sorry J, but she's to nice to loose."
„Ooh is she?"
Y/n heard out of Js voice that he was about to shoot the guy and that's when a gunshot was to hear and he dropped dead to the ground.
Frost hurried in to check if something was wrong and that's when he noticed Y/n on the couch. He just stood there watching the situation and how Joker got up and walked to her. He got on his knees in front of her.
„Come back and forgive me, please honey."
She shook her head and tears accumulated in her eyes by the thought of the horrible past months.
„I made a mistake okay?!"
„No, you hurt me."
He got up and slicked his hair back. He always did that when he was stressed. Then he confessed her something she did not expect.
„I love you, but I hate. I miss you, but I'm better off without you. I want you out of my life, but I never want to let you go."
He was on his knees again and Y/n knew this was his way to beg. To beg for her to come back and to beg for forgiveness.
„I know that you rescued me from a bullet..."
It was too much for y/n and she finally gave in. She got on the ground and they hugged each other like there was no tomorrow.
Frost watched all of this and was relieved that they talked things off and everything was normal again. Joker would never make the same mistake twice by letting her go.
