after my lectures ended i decided to go back to my apartment but i accidentally ran into jin hyung and he somehow convinced me to go with him and boys to the homecoming of one of our classmates
"don't worry there'll be no alcohol, only apple and orange juices and some snacks to munch on" jin hyung told me as he drove, maybe noticing me fidgeting in my seat
"n-no ah... that's not it" i piped up and agust glared at me from the rearview mirror
"then you have nothing to worry about, dumbass, we will be with you whole time" somehow even if he's being rude he's assuring me that i won't be alone there and that is enough for me
when i look over to thank him he's already sprawled in the backseat, his head in hoseok's lap and hoseok smiling down gently at him while running his fingers through his bleached hair
i turn around, unnoticed by the pair, and look at jin hyung, he nods and smiles at me and i smile back at him happily
"so... they're together?" i whisper when two boys in the backseat fall asleep
"have been for about a month now, being a third wheel is so much fun, you have no idea, it's incomparable feeling, one of a kind" jin hyung says sarcastically and clicks his tongue
"hehe" i chuckle as jin hyung tells me about the time he had to witness them being kissy-mushy with each other, jin hyung never wants to go through that ever again
when we arrive to the homecoming the boys wake up and all four of us step inside, the place is not heavily packed, just few students i barely recognizes
i see mingyu and hoshi from my music class, and there, not too far from them jackson and bambam are chatting about something enthusiastically
people are sipping some juice and jin hyung disappears into the crowd to comes back with packs of juices
"couldn't they have gotten lemonade? how old are we, four?" agust whines and complains as usual and hoseok whacks his boyfriend on the back of his head
"YO, JEONGGUK!" i hear a loud boom and spin to see my friend yugyeom making his way towards me, bambam skipping next to him
"HELLO~" bambam sings out
"is he high?" i chuckle
"as high as it would go, i think he got drunk off fruit loops"
"don't talk about me like i'm not even here- HEY HOBIE~" bambam scoffs and then rushes towards hoseok, the two of them doing a little dance in the corner
"by the way, whose homecoming is this?" i ask after few minutes of drinking apple juice in satisfaction
"the new boy is here, rich as you can see" yugyeom throws his hands out to point at the huge house we're standing in
"i want to greet him, say 'thank you' or something" i did feel guilty about coming to stranger's house and not even greeting them
"he's upstairs, should be in the bathroom" yugyeom informs me and i nod before stepping over the bunch but hesitantly looking back at jin
"we'll be here when you'll come down, promise" jin hyung winks reassuringly and i nod with a huge smile
i make my way upstairs and see a boy leaning against the wall, a red cup in his hand and black clothes hanging loosely on his body
"h-hi, um, you must be the host... i just wanted to greet you" the boy raises his head and i try to smile at him
"why would you come and greet me?" deepest voice possible comes out of his mouth and i feel my insides doing cartwheels one by one
"w-well, we kind of intruded and i w-wanted to say 'hi'" i sound pathetic, i know that much, he's just waaaaay too intimidating
the boy takes out a cigarette from his black jean's pocket and lights it, coming closer towards me, i can feel the atmosphere changing as he approaches
"thank you for greeting me, cutie pie" he rasps in deep voice and blows some cigarette smoke out of his mouth
"w-wait, a-aren't you the cleaning lady from the other day?" my eyes widen, when i look at him up close he seems more different than when i looked at him from a distance
he quirked an eyebrow at me and asked, caught off guard "'cleaning lady'? you trying to pick a fight with me pretty boy? that's not a good decision you know"
he looks pissed off and annoyed at the same time. but then he laughs a sinister laugh and blows some smoke onto my face, i cough and step back from him, my back hitting the wall
"oh, i see, you must have met my idiot of a brother, he kinda looks like me" their face complexions are different but somehow, they do resemble each other
"i'm sorry i startled you" he smirks, definitely not being sorry at all from his quirk expression
"see you around pretty boy..." he says as he comes closer to husk into my ear
i can feel shivers running down my spine when he takes my hair in his hand and turns my head towards him, kissing my cheek
"see ya" he says and releases me, leaving me alone to deal with my shaking
and if so many complicated emotions haven't been running in my mind i would have noticed how my fingertips started burning from shock, one of them especially heating
