i strode along the icy sidewalk, my fingers freezing and my mind playing tricks on me as if they tips were blue already
in this cold i tried to hug the jacket close to me, trying to emit some warmth but the thin layer did no good to me
it felt like i had boiling oil in my stomach, my insides clenching and sizzling, i was not feeling well
i was anxious, this was the first time i would be away for so long from home, it kind of terrified me and i was feeling restless, it was a mess
the snow quashed under my feet as i moved along, forward and onward, clutching my backpack straps, my cheeks going numb from cold
i stepped around the car and entered the receptionist office, asking for a room in a motel
"you seem like you will pass out any second" the old lady said worriedly when she saw me
i tried to smile but it hurt my chapped lips so i nodded instead. she hurriedly filed the paperwork and handed me the key
"second floor honey, get plenty of rest please, we have clean showers to make sure to stay warm" i thanked her and ran towards the stairs, closing the room when i was inside
i threw the backpack in the nearest chair and locked the door, i stripped and went to the bathroom, only my underwear being the layer of clothing
there was a shower, not a tub, and i smiled when i thought of warm shower. i must have spent at least forty minutes in the shower and it did feel warm when i emerged from there, my own towel around my torso
i opened my backpack and saw that it was a little wet due to snow, but it was fine, the containing of it was still dry
the first thing i pulled out was my oversized hoodie, it was warm and fluffy, i loved this one especially. it was black and had 'i am art' written in tiny letters where the heart was supposed to be
a pair of sweatpants followed the hoodie and made it to my body, these sweatpants were my tightest ones, i blame my thick thighs
sighing i sat down on the bed, it's okay, i could do this
but it was my first day at korea and i was already being a mess
i am a transfer student from america, i am korean but i was born and raised in america. my mom offered me to study in korea for a little while for a change and i agreed, stupid jeongguk
when i was at the airport they lost the luggage of at least half of the passengers on my flight. everyone was devastated and panicky. good thing i packed my handbag
i don't have a lot inside, only my credit cards, warm clothes and my laptop, charged and all that stuff
i'm really scared, i don't know this place at all, my phone internet is running out and i think i will have a mental breakdown any second
i'm happy no one is around, i get agitated when people are talking, breathing, or chewing their nails when i'm ready to throw myself down the cliff
i got up, slapping my face gently to wake up, get a hold of yourself, gguk
i pulled my laptop from my backpack, the surface was slightly moist and i swiped my sweater paw across it, opening it and turning on skype
"hey gguk..." jimin hyung rasped when the call finally went through
"hi" i said in small voice and he looked at me suspiciously
"what happened?"
"UGHH" i groaned, how does he always know what's wrong?
"the idiots lost our luggage" jimin hyung panicked and i spent next fifteen minutes trying to calm him down
"aish, if i wasn't broke i would come there, please be safe gguk" he smiled at me and i smiled
"of course, babe" i teased him
"GROSS, only suga can call me that and you know it, look at him... pfft" jimin tried to stifle a laugh
he turned the camera over and jungkook saw yoongi sleeping next to him, his limbs thrown all around him in an awkward position
"i can't believe he's able to sleep while he's so twisted" jimin laughed and turned the camera facing towards him, caressing suga with his other hand
"i will go to sleep now, hyung, bye" jungkook said tiredly and jimin nodded
"sleep tight, i love you" jimin waved before he turned off the call
"i love you too hyung-nim" jungkook smiled at jimin's silliness and closed the lid of computer
i decided to sleep in these clothes since they were comfortable and warm and motel room was a little chilly. just before i crawled into bed i heard a knock
i stood up grudgingly and looked into the peephole and saw a male standing there, a vacuum and broom in his hand
"who's there?" i called, my heart racing
"i'm your cleaning lady, my name is kai" i opened the door and the boy stepped in, he couldn't have been too older than me
"hello, i'll just sweep the floor really quick and be on my w- are you okay?" the boy asked when he narrowed his eyes at me suddenly
"i'm fine" i huffed
"i have told that lie many times, what happened?" the cleaning boy insisted
"i just came here, eight hours ago, i'm transfer student and they lost my luggage" i said sleepily
"aw man, that happens so often, my chanyeol hyung lost his too, they can't keep track of times, i'm tellin' ya" the boy laughed and then softly smacked his forehead
"oh, what am i rambling? i need to clean" i laughed and sat on the bed, deciding that it would be rude if i went to sleep now when there's a person cleaning up
"if you want to sleep, sleep" the boy told me and i almost jumped five feet into the air
"um... i-i'll wait, i-it's okay" i said, shit why am i stuttering?
"it's not like i will do something to you, don't worry, dongsaeng"
"how do you-"
"you can't possibly be older than me, look at your bunny face again" the boy laughed and smiled at me, my heart picked up its pace again, yo, relax, important organ
