Juliet's POV
I squeal in surprise as Jason suddenly grips my hips and hoists me up to sit on his shoulders. I had been complaining since I could barely see anything with my 4'9" frame. "You're okay." Jason assures in response to my squeals of fright, settling me on his shoulders and gripping my thighs tightly and protectively. I relax and bury my fingers in his soft fluffy hair. He hadn't felt like fixing it this morning so it was soft and I couldn't help but run my fingers through it constantly. "See anything you want?" Jason asks looking around. I gaze at my surroundings as Jason walks in a circle for me to see everything. I squeal and point as I see a machine with fluffy pink cotton candy being made.
"I want cotton candy, Jay Jay." I beg, twirling a piece of his hair. He chuckles and nods. "Of course you do." He laughs walking in the direction of the cotton candy machine. I tug on his hair and pout in response. "Ouch, babygirl. Don't pull my hair, missy." He says playfully stern, pinching my thigh lightly. "Owwie!" I cry, rubbing the sore spot. "Be nice, Jay Jay." I pout. "I'm sorry, little one." He says, taking me down from his shoulders and placing me in front of him. His 6'1" frame towers over mine and even though he promised, I couldn't help but be a little frightened by him, knowing he could hurt me anytime he pleased since the littlest things set him off. "Can I have a kiss?" He says, leaning down. I throw away my horrible thoughts and nod happily. He wraps his arms around my waist so my feet don't touch the ground as our lips collide with a passionate and loving kiss. We both smile into the kiss and pull away. He pecks my lips three more times before rubbing our noses in an Eskimo kiss. "I love my little one." Jason coos, kissing my nose. "I love my Jay Jay." I smile as he brings me into a warm hug.
Pulling away, he tucks a strand of hair behind me ear and grabs my hand. "Okay. Cotton Candy time." He says, leading me to the machine run by a nice looking lady. "Hello! What flavor can I get for you?" The lady smile brightly, pointing at the many flavors. I blush bright pink and bury my face into Jason's stomach, suddenly turning very shy. "Aw babygirl." Jason chuckles, kissing my hair as I grip as fist in his shirt. "You want Strawberry right?" He coos, stroking my back to calm me. I nod into his shirt. "One strawberry and one grape, please." Jason says politely for once, pulling his wallet out of his pocket. "Here you go, little love birds. Have a great rest of your day!" The lady hands us our fluffy sugar-filled treat and smiles warmly at me as she catches my eye when I go to grab mine. I smile shyly back before rushing back to Jason's warm protective side.
I rip off a piece and place it on my tongue, loving the taste as it dissolves completely. "Good?" Jason smiles down at me and I nod frantically. "It's yummy!" I smile, placing another piece in my mouth. After a few minutes, we both finish out cotton candy, occasionally giving each other a piece of ours. "Can we go see Belle now?" I ask innocently, giving Jason my best puppy dog eyes. He smiles, looking down at me adoringly. "Of course, little one. This vacation is for you." He says, kissing my forehead. "Yay! Lets go!" I screech, racing to where Belle is supposed to be. "Slow down, little kitten. She will be there all day. Now get back here." Jason says a little sternly. I blush and slow down, coming back to Jason's side. "S-sorry. I'm just really excited." I say sheepishly with my eyes watering, thinking he was mad that I was running.
"Hey," He says, stopping and gripping my chin to look at him. He wipes under my eyes and frowns. "No tears, baby. I'm not mad at you. I just want you to be safe and protected and the only way you can be that is when you are safely tucked under my arm and by my side." He smiles, leaning down to kiss my wet salty cheeks. "O-okay. I no run no more." I say childishly, still feeling scolded. Seeing this, Jason pulls me into a warm hug, tucking my face into his neck as he picks me up, hitching me onto his hip like a toddler, and walks over to a nearby bench. The sun was about to finish setting and most of the people left were cooing at us and our loving bond.
He sits down, keeping me in his lap, and starts rocking me back and forth soothingly. "Just an innocent little kitten." Jason coos, pecking my ear as I grip onto him tightly. Soon I start falling asleep as his tight embrace calms and warms me. I bury my face deeper into his neck as he starts humming a soothing lullaby. "Just go to sleep, kitten. You were a good girl today. You did better than yesterday too. It's 8 pm. Yesterday, you fell asleep at 6:45pm." Jason chuckles, kissing my head and standing up. 'I was tired from the long car ride, Mr. McCann.' I sass in my head, too tired to speak. He cradles me like a baby as he starts walking to our suite. "B-but B-belle!" I whine tiredly, making a grabby hand and reaching in the direction she was. "Shhh, baby. We still have three more days. We can see Belle first thing tomorrow, okay?" He coos. I nod , giving up and closing my eyes. The last thing I feel is Jason lightly kissing my lips before I am placed on our warm fluffy bed.
