Samuels POV
It's been a week since Sonia told me about the incident that had happened at the ball. It's been bothering me since. I want to kill the bastard. I already had Frank on my back now I have to worry about some idiot that wants to destroy my family. I love Sonia, I can't let anything happen to her or our babies. If it wasn't for her, I would've still been that heartless person, she had broken a shell and touched my heart. The monster in me had been locked for months, but about a week ago it almost made its way through. She keeps me sane. I need her. I love her more than anything.
I need to get rid of this guy. He doesn't know who he's messing with. I'm a highly trained NUS agent, I've completed every mission without a complication. He's dumb to come back and mess with me.
I've got my team on him. He's being watched every second of the day, everything's being reported to me and as soon as we get enough evidence on him than I can take him down. For good.
We are close to taking him down. I didn't want anything happening to Sonia so I kept her away from all this. To protect her from him.
I was currently at the agency at my desk. Trying to analyze all the information that was sent to me.
The door slammed open and my partner Carl walks in.
"Samuel, You need to come in the lab. There's someone on the monitor wanting you." He tries to catch his breath.
"Who is it Carl?" I sternly say getting up from my seat and walking towards him.
"You'll know when you hear it." He says walking towards the lab. And I followed. We turned to a corner and walked inside the lab.
"This unknown number keeps calling we have no idea how he has access at armoury, all we know its sent for you from Franks system." The phone rings again and He grabs the phone then hands it to me.
"Hello Samuel Blossom. This is Greg speaking, yes the one and only Greg Mickelson. Your wife's true lover. You made a big mistake taking what's mine. Knocking her up with your disgusting blood, way to go Blossom! Now you and your love ones will pay, including Sonia. There's one way to stop all this, stay away from her!" The phone cuts off and goes silent.
Anger rushed through me. I threw the the phone across the room making it break.
"Samuel he's just trying to get under your skin. We can stop him." Carl says.
"How did he find out?" I sneer.
"Mickelson and Darren have teamed up. They seem to made some kind of deal. If I were you Sam, I would leave. Take your wife and leave until all this is done. We'll take this mission." Carl sighs
"Then what!? He'll follow us, he won't let us go so easily if Franks involved! I'm going to have to do what he says for a while until you guys find out more about this man so we can end him for good!" I'm trying so hard not to be angry.
"Yes we will try our best"
"I WANT EVERYONE WORKING ON THIS! GOT IT!"
"Yes Sir" Than he walks away.
I walk outside and into my car, turning the engine on and drove towards the house. Towards Sonia. My knuckles had turned white from how tightly my grip on the steering wheel is. My anger was boiling. This can't be happening.
I didn't know how I was suppose to explain this to Sonia. She's already in a mess being with me and now I have to stay away from her while she struggles with her pregnancy. Until Carl finds out how he has access to our monitors. I hated this, it pained me to do this to her. But I had to. To protect her and our children.
Sonia's POV
Sam came home storming into his study, I don't know what has gotten into him. He's never like this. He didn't even come to see me like he usually does. Something was wrong.
I slowly walked inside his study. I looked at him, he looked upset. His head was rested on his hand. My frown creeped in my face.
"Sam, are you okay?" He looked up at me.
I walked towards his table and sat in front of him.
"Sonia, I think you should go to Norah's for a while." He sighs.
"What?" I asked confused.
"You won't be safe around me, its best if you leave..." he huffs.
"Wh-hat are you saying Samuel? I'm not going anywhere." I say back and he comes closer to me folding his hands on my lap.
"Sonia, Greg and Frank have teamed up. They threatened to hurt you and our babies. Please don't make this more complicated then it already is..." he breathes looking down at my bump.
I put my hands in his cheeks to raise his head. So he's looking at me straight in the eye. "Sam I'm safer with you by my side. We'll get through this together."
He removes my hands "No Sonia your in danger with me, you have been since the beginning of our marriage. I can't lose you or our children. If you're not leaving than I will. I will do anything to protect you my love." He huffs placing his hands on my bump.
"Don't you dare push me away Samuel Blossom, no ones going anywhere." I cry.
"Sonia...Please-"
"Sam don't do this, Don't let him take over us. Please just stay. I can't do this without you." I cry
He brings me on his lap. "Your stronger than I am my love. We'll get through this. It's just for awhile." He sighs
"Please don't make me do this"
"I have to."
"You're just going to walk away"
"We have no choice."
"Fine. If that's what you want than I'll leave. I'll go to Norah's." I say wiping my tears away with my hand and getting up from Sam's lap.
"Sonia it's for yours and our children's safety."
I walk towards the door "How long Sam? How long will this go on for?" I ask.
"I don't know. It'll be over soon." He replies
I walk out of the study and upstairs into our room packing some of my things. Didn't bother to change out of Sam shirt and my sweatpants. I couldn't help but to cry. Everything was going well and this storm came into our lives.
When I was done, I walked downstairs and Sam helped with my bags.
"I had called Jack and informed him your coming." He says not looking me in the eye.
We walk outside and into his car. He turns the engine on and drives towards Norah's house.
The car was filled with utter silence. I looked over at Sam. I couldn't help but my tears slide down. This was ridiculous, I can't do this without him. Why does it have to always end up like this?
"Sam-"
"We're here" He interrupts looking at the house.
He gets out of the car and puts my bag in front of the door and walks back to me. I get out of the passenger's seat.
"Sam we can do this to-"
"Norah's waiting," He says still not making eye contact with me.
"Samuel... I love you..." I croak and he shuts his eyes resisting to look at my broken face.
I hug him and he rests his chin on my head. He pulls back and kisses my forehead then gets back in his car and drives off. Leaving me broken and alone.
I walked to the door and knocked. Norah opened the door with a smile then it immediately went away when she saw the devastating look on my face.
"Son, what's wrong?"
I dropped my bags and hugged her crying in her hair.
"It's okay Son, I'm here" she softly says.
Was this it? We were just going to play puppet with the devil. Was I ever going to be with Sam? I'm not going to give up, I will keep trying. His fear was losing me, I'm going to break it. Set us both free from the snake's cage.
