"We took care of all the bodies" Romeo picked up a basket filled with Pokéballs "there shouldn't be any evidence left... if you don't want the police involve, we have no choice but to hide the bodies and perhaps sell them in the black market. It's the only way"
"So be it then. They should worth a lot of money" I crossed my arms
"I really thought you'd put this behind you... what ever happened?" I rubbed my wrist "your wrist... did you and Calem get kidnapped?"
"Yes, and I had to do what I had to do... don't talk down at me. Even if as a normal person, I should be knowing selling the bodies and not getting the police involved is wrong, but I'm not a normal person... what's done is done... I don't care what you do what the money"
"I suppose what's done is done... this isn't my first time doing errands in the black market. I just didn't think I'll go back" he handed me the basket
"It's not like I'm doing it on purpose... I've defeated many gangs since coming here, but from what I did... I don't want to be traced back" he nodded as I looked at the Pokéballs
"What do you want to do with them?" The Pokéballs belong to the grunts I killed. We looked back at the scared shiny Pokémon in the cage "and them?"
"I have a place for them... I suppose I'll ask for some money to take care of these Pokémon"
"You're going to take care of all of them!? There's like 30 of them!"
"My mom owns a farm, so I'll be fine" I looked down at my Eevee cuddling with my ankle. Now that I don't mind touching Pokémon, I feel much more confident... I smiled and kneeled down to pet it's head
"I'm happy that you decided to contacted me for help"
"Who else would be able to get contact with the black market?" He smiled wide
"At least I know that I'm needed and you trust me!" I shook my head, picking up Eevee and walk to the cage
"Do any of you have trainers?" They looked at each other "I take that as a no... if you come with me, you'll be in a much better environment" Absol walked from behind me, speaking to them. After a few groans from it, they finally came out the cage "thanks..." I stared at Absol walking close to my leg and sit down casually
This Absol... all it wanted to do was protect me. It's like it knew Calem was a murderer and thought when he grabbed me, he was going to hurt me
"Don't attack people" I said out of nowhere. It looked at me surprised before looking away, nodding. After getting everything together, including changing, it was time for me to leave the place
"I'll be off then... would you like to come with me to the hospital?" Romeo shook his head
"I have to take care of the bodies and the money" he pocket his hands "hopefully something that'll lead to us acting like we never left the gang doesn't happen again" I nodded, picking up B from my overall pocket on my chest, seeing it asleep. I gave B all the Pokéballs of the Pokémon I captured and took from the corpses. Wonder how greeting the bad ones will be like "Don't you want to treat those wounds before leaving?" I looked at my wrists and shook my head
"They're fine... I can take care of them" I held the side of my stomach "it's not the worse wound I ever had" knowing what I was talking about, he nodded and left to the exit, jumping when he saw a Haunter appear and laugh at our face. Romeo looked like he was going to faint while I wasn't amused
"Huh?" I blinked confused. Isn't this the same Haunter that I heard so much about? "Am I suppose to be scared?" The Pokémon looked at me confused and started circling me "you were the one that helped Calem kill the gang" Romeo looked surprised "isn't there another one of you? What was it? It was a Pokémon that looked like a sword and shield"
"Oh, you mean a Aegislash? It's a ghost and steel type Pokémon. It is said that generations of kings where attended by these Pokémon, which use their spectral power to manipulate and control people" I looked around for this Pokémon, but it was nowhere in sight. Haunter just laughed and circled me over and over
"Does this Pokémon only exist in this region?"
"Most likely, yes" I thought before that Calem might have been controlled by this Pokémon to kill, but he escaped Sinnoh for a reason. This Pokémon couldn't have got to his hands back then. I remember Shauna telling me that Calem moved here when he was 9, a year before Serena showed up, so a Aegislash shouldn't had made him like this... how did he grow up to kill at such a young age?
"I see..." I walked pass Haunter still laughing at me and made it out the alley I went into before, near the Prism Tower "it's gotten late... I better head back" Romeo nodded and took my hand to kiss, walking away with a smile on his face. I rolled my eyes and froze when I caught the little girl from before, before I ran into the alley to get away from her, stood right close to me, wearing pajamas
"There you are!" She laughed. She looked like she hasn't slept in hours "I was waiting forever!"
"Shouldn't you be going to bed?" She looked at me and question and ran around me for a better look
"That's strange... you look like Serena, but your hair is different, really long actually" she pointed at my eyes "and your eyes are sharper and blue! Who are you?"
"It doesn't matter right now, you should be getting home before the bad people get you. Don't you know it's dangerous here in these streets, especially at this time?" She looked at my wrists, which I was quick to hide
"What happened to your hands?" I bit my lips and kneeled down to her height
"Bad things happen in this city... anywhere where you're not careful. There are bad people out there who will take you. You are safer at home..." she looked scared, looking behind me to try to look at my hands "what you saw is enough... go home"
"But..." she frowned at me "you.."
"Bonnie!" The guy in overalls from before came running after what may be his little sister "what are you doing out here so late!? My robot alerted me that you were gone, so I went everywhere to find you in the tower! Why are you outside of all places!?" He noticed me standing up "aren't you..?"
"Take care of your sister better, will you? Out of everything, she has to be your number one thing you have to look after" I turned to walk away with my Pokémon
"You're not Serena, aren't you?" I stopped and peaked over at the two watching me
"No, not even close" I bowed my head and started jogging back to the hospital. I really hope I don't have to worry about that gang again... Calem killed one half before, and I took care of the rest. Even if I'm still mad at him for never telling me about the pictures, I'm wondering more about if he's going to be able to live due to loosing more blood
I made it to the hospital soon enough, not being that far away, I ran in to be stopped by the annoying duo I couldn't stand "hold it right there!" Sina raised her hand to stop me. I stood in place, standing close to Absol so it wouldn't attack. Z floated over with Pichu on its back
Pichu cried and jumped in the air and into my arms. Because the poor thing is blind, it wasn't good at aiming and went flying a different direction. I quickly jumped out to catch it "Pi?" Pichu looked at my chest surprised and looked up at me. I smiled and pet it's head, holding it close
"I'm sorry I left you..." it started crying and pressed on my chest, muffling its voice
"What happened..?" Dexio reached out for my arms, staring at my wounds. Absol growled at him, making him back off. I pet it's head to calm it down
"Where's Calem?"
"Surgery" Sina crossed her arms "care to explain where you two been? He had marks on his wrist as well, rope burns" she frowned at me "you look like you've got it worse... what happened?" I looked away, not wanting to talk to these people, knowing they don't really care
"Sophia!" Shauna came running with the rest of her friends. I took a step back, not wanting anyone to get close to me "where have you been!? What happened to Calem!? He's in a worse condition than before-" her eyes widened when seeing my hands "w-what happened..?" She slowly reached out to take my hands and stared "these are rope burns..? You looked like you've been putting a lot of force in them... there's cuts everywhere" I moved my arm away so she wouldn't touch it like she wanted to "what happened..?"
"Let's pretend like you didn't see anything..." I sat on a near by chair, noticing how exhausted I was. I hugged myself, finding it cold all of a sudden. A blanket was placed on me. I looked up to see Sycamore smiling down at me. I looked down and let Absol sit between my legs to warm me up
"Isn't that the Absol you told me about?" Shauna asked. I leaned forward to hug Absol, not knowing where it even came from, but I owe this Pokémon for at least trying. I found warmth in its fur and slowly drifted to sleep after a long night
I opened my eyes to see myself standing in the middle of my old room back in my dad's house, when the family was still living in it and dad would only come home once a week "my old room..." I looked down at myself, seeing myself in the same white dress from the dream before, except my hair was in twin tails, supported by buns, flowing in the wind "and why am I in this dress again?" I lifted the sides of the dress, not finding a end to it. Why is it so long!?
"I mean... it isn't uncomfortable" I sighed and floated to my door, not expecting to arrive outside Jubilife City "what the..?" Is there a reason why this is happening. Not that I'm expecting my dreams to make sense, I just don't have dreams very recently
The city didn't look like how I recognized it. A dark mist dimmed the city, and bright white stars filled those mist. It was very beautiful, and not to mention there the very huge moon above me, nearly covering the sky!
"This is a pretty cool dream, hopefully it stays a dream" I decided to explore more of this city until arriving at a tall building I automatically appeared in front of. Time went quickly while going through the building and eventually lead me to a large home large enough to be a penthouse
"Hello?" I called out. A loud noise was crashing around the kitchen. I slowly went over to see what was going on and saw a young boy, about 5 years old, holding a large bloody kitchen knife in his hands, trying to throw it in the sink with his small bloody hands trying to hold onto the counter to help himself reach for the sink
Once he threw it, he jumped back on the floor, hurried to grab a broom, and open the faucet to wash away what was on the knife. A first instinct was to assume it was paint for a art project, but I knew it was blood
He quietly walked back to the living room to play with his toys, not even removing the blood from his hands and putting it on everything he touched. He didn't seem to notice me following him, or even kneeling down to look at him better
He had dark hair with dark blue eyes... he looked really familiar to me, and the back of my head knew who he was. He didn't hold a expression when playing with his toys. A scary movie was even playing on tv, yet he didn't even care about anything
After what felt like a while, a hard knock came from the door. The boy jumped on his feet, staring at the door. The door kept being banged on, and then someone tried opening the lock handle. The boy ran to the balcony and run on top of a rock pathway leading to the moon
"Wait!" I ran after him, struggling to get through this dress, not being able to float like before. I kept trying to lift my dress, but there was no end. The kid was getting farther by the second. I didn't think I could catch up... that's when I looked behind me, seeing I was already farther from the building than I expected, leaving the atmosphere already
"What..?" The rocks started breaking into pieces. I hung onto the rock I was under to prevent myself from falling. I looked around, seeing the path to the moon breaking apart in millions of pieces
Something in me told me to look behind me. I looked back at where the Atmosphere was disappearing to, seeing grown up, light blue eyed Calem in a prince uniform, looking back at his home
"Calem!?" I shouted. Calem looked back at me, reaching out to take my hand I was reaching out to grab him
"Serenity!" I gasped, watching the light flashing before my eyes and now see earth from where I stood; the moon. I stared at the planet, not understanding what just happened
"Why did he call me..?"
"You may see yourself changing" I turned around to see my old self; in a black belly shirt with baggy pants, sitting against what looked like broken pieces of a large ancient building all around the moon. The only difference was between the reflection from my other dream and this one was that this girl had blue eyes just like me "but if you don't open up to yourself, you'll remain the same. Earth is where you want to be... that is reality, but you have yet to waken up from where you stood for years now, ever since your heart was taken from you" she stood up "and because you haven't woken up, you'll continue to be two worlds apart from what you're truly wanting" I looked back at earth "You might have broken the walls when you overcame your shyness," she opened her arms to show the mess around us "but you'll never leave this lonely place..." she closed her eyes "your palace being destroyed doesn't necessarily mean it's bad, it simply means you got rid of the one place you stayed at. Your shy quiet state. You are changing... yet you're still here"
"How do I leave?"
"Reach out a bit further..." I reached out, "it won't be easy, but you can get your heart back... you've been holding it for awhile" she held her chest "It's time for you to understand" I immediately opening my eyes to see my hand, wrapped in bandages, reaching out to the ceiling. I groaned at the light and sat up, looking to see that I'm back in Calem's room
"You're awake" Shauna smiled at me "we got a nurse to clean your wounds. It wasn't smart to keep them open, so they're completely clean" I stared at the bandages "how are you feeling..?you've been asleep almost all day" I looked up, seeing Calem sleeping on his bed with a oxygen mask. I was quick to get up and lean close to see how he was doing
"The doctor said he's fine now, he got through surgery very well and now resting. They say he might be under a coma for a few days, so we don't have to worry about him running away again" she stood up "Professor Sycamore said he's going to take care of him. He even contacted his mom. We better get back to the search as soon as possible" I held Calem's cheek, feeling how cold he was "Sophia..."
"It's best if he stays here to heal..." I held his hand and looked back at Shauna frowning at me "I'll be going on my own... there's some things I have to do with a large supply of Pokémon I obtained" I grabbed my things and returned my small Pokémon, staring at Absol staring up at me. It's still here...
"What did you say? Sophia, you're still wanting to search on your own?" I looked back at Shauna
"You're a very sweet girl, Shauna. I'm sorry for the way I treated you and the others. I left you guys even when we were suppose to be a team. You were loyal to me, even if I was a bad influence" I pet her head "you really are a true friend... because I have things to do, I have to leave first, but let's go find Serena together" her eyes sparkled. I looked away, not believing what was coming out my mouth "S-See you later... don't mess up, got it?" I walked out the door with Absol following me as fast as possible to leave the hospital
I rushed to a wide spot in Lumiose and told B to give me a Pokémon with the ability to fly. It coughed up a Pokéball, which I released a green Salamence. It yelled out to the sky, making a scene. I threw B in the air to use its power to calm it down as I dropped the Ultraball it's old master captured it with and destroyed it with my foot. Soon enough, it calmed down and stared at me
"There there" I raised my arm gently to gain its trust. It whined, stepping back. I frowned and took out 3 treats for it to eat and approach me. From the way I was acting, it's like I was never afraid of Pokémon... "it's alright... no one is going to hurt you anymore" it ate the treats I gave it and let me pet their heads "You had a terrible trainer... I promise to give you all better homes... would you take me on your back?" It simply stared at me. I took out a Pokéball and poked the button on its head, capturing it in a second. After a few seconds, I released it out the Pokéball and was finally on my way home to mom
