yoongi ran through narrow hallways of the hospital, his nose was suffocated by the strong odor of medications and his head was going in circles
he had to see jimin
something terrible had happened today, while jimin went to visit his small brother, jungkook, yoongi went to his classes
oh, how he wishes he'd gone with jimin
poor jimin opened the apartment door to find jungkook cold on the ground, his breath was really inaudible but his heart was beating at a painfully slow pace
yoongi was informed after ten minutes by jin hyung, yoongi sprinted from his economics class like a lightning and bolted towards the hospital
yoongi halted in his steps as he saw three males in the hallway, jimin, jin and jungkook's boyfriend taehyung
older male wasted no time as he ran towards jimin, who was sitting on the plastic chair, blank expression covering his face
"chim..." yoongi called out softly as he crouched between jimin's open legs
yoongi almost screamed. jimin's expression was so lifeless, his eyes were blank, fucking blank as fucking blank it could go
he blinked five times per minute, yes yoongi counted, and it terrified yoongi
it seemed like jimin was not breathing and suga panicked, he raised his thumb and gently put it against jimin's nose, thankfully feeling the puffs of air blowing out of them
"baby, i'm here" yoongi tried again, grabbing jimin's cold hands softly, so softly that jin had to look away
"i know you can hear me, answer me, would you please answer me?" yoongi's voice broke as he tried to snap jimin from whatever he was in
"how long has he been like this?" yoongi asked in monotonous voice, not taking his eyes off jimin's face
"thirty minutes now" taehyung sighed, running his hand through his hair in a frustrated manner
"jimin..." yoongi whispered, trying to snap jimin out of his haze but it was fatal as jimin continued to stare ahead, in this situation at yoongi
it pained yoongi, seeing jimin like this, he was in pure shock, who wouldn't?
you just found your brother cold on the floor because of cardiac arrest. it was not common amongst teenagers but it happened to poor jungkook and jimin saw it
yoongi stared into jimin's eyes, and for once, he couldn't be happy that he was looking at him, he was not happy because jimin was not here
he was probably rocking himself while hugging his knees to his chest behind a wall that he was hiding emotions in, yoongi knew that very well
yoongi hated looking at jimin at the moment, because what he was looking at was not jimin, it was his human form, real, sweet jimin was crying inside
yoongi wanted, oh so badly, to look at jimin's bright smile and listen to the words younger boy spoke so frivolously
he wanted to clamp his hand over jimin's mouth and tell him to stop talking because he was being too loud, he wanted to tease his chim chim
but right now the best yoongi could do was crouch in between jimin's thighs and hold his hands, and wait for jimin's eyes to return to its normal life fullness
yoongi stood up and sat next to jimin, grabbing jimin's hand and intertwining their fingers together, surprisingly he felt a little movement
suddenly jimin's smol fingers slowly, very slowly, squeezed yoongi's fingers and went back to emotionlessness
yes baby, come on, come out, you can do this chim, you're my bravest boy of all time, snap out of it love
they waited there for what felt like years but was actually another twenty minutes. cardiac arrest was something that definitely was not supposed to happen at the moment
yoongi felt how the atmosphere was thick with worry and sorrow, and anxiety, anxiety about the fact that doctor will come out of that room and say, "we're sorry..."
that would be it, yoongi realized, after those words jimin's world will scramble down
c'mon kook, you can do this! be strong, little bunny... don't give up!
yoongi could feel the tenseness all over taehyung. inside, outside, and all around him
he was fidgeting, pacing back and forth and his lips were moving, as if speaking but not saying anything out loud
jin was in the same condition but slightly better one. he held more authority, he just paced back and forth
"taehyung" yoongi uttered and younger boy's head whipped to the side, almost snapping his neck in half, to listen
"don't worry" yoongi knew damn well these words won't do shit for smaller male but he had to try
taehyung smiled, very little, lifeless, smile and continued pacing back and forth
"is anyone else coming?" yoongi asked, his voice just above the whisper
"namjoon and hoseok are on their way. i don't know if i should tell exo" jin said and his voice sounded tired, like someone just beat the whole will to live out of him
"tell them" they heard a small voice and looked over, jimin
his face didn't change expression, his limbs didn't move, he was still blinking at the rate of five times per minute
his mouth just opened and closed to say those two words and it pained yoongi. his jimin was vulnerable, jimin was weak, jimin needed shield. yoongi was his shield
"i-i'll be right back" jin said as he pulled out his phone and walked to another corner aimlessly
"hello!" baek's cheerful voice rang in jin's ear and he almost smiled
"b-baek" jin whimpered and he could hear shuffling on the other side
"i don't like how that sounds. what's wrong?!" baekhyun rushed, his voice changing from cheerful to terrified
"i-its jungkook" jin whimpered again, not able to hold back and he heard few gasps
"you're on speaker so everyone can hear, what ha-happened to jungkook? wait, is taehyung all right?!" baek sounded like scared eomma
"what happened to kookie?" suho's voice boomed and jin tried to not be too loud about his crying
"h-he had card-cardiac arrest a-and j-ji-jimin found him, it's a mess, please come!" jin begged, few tears falling from his eyes
"luhan, grab the goddamn car keys while i'm changing" jin heard sehun shout and baek told him, rushed "we will change and come as soon as possible" baek hung up and turned to the rest of exo, who were staring at him in fear
"dress up at the speed of light and let's go!" baekhyun shouted and chanyeol grabbed his wrist while dragging him to the other room to change
they changed in less than two minutes and were in the car in the second one
"what happened?"

"i hope jiminie is okay"
the voices of nervous boys were all that was heard in the car. luhan clung to sehun, kai looked at kyungsoo, who looked like he might burst any second
it was rare seeing him so startled and scared. kai grabbed his shoulder and pulled his boy against him
"it's okay" he said while he rubbed d.o's back comfortingly
"jungkook is a strong boy, he'll manage" kai assured and soo smiled while nodding slowly
this kind of tension never was present in their cars, whenever they were in car it either meant shopping or having a night out with bts and got7
this kind of tension was suffocating thought, the air was so thick you could cut it with knife, it was horrible but they had to go through this, together
they had to be strong and not panic, because jungkook needed them, he needed their support and they were damn well determined to provide it
they had to stay calm, bts needed exo and exo were on their way, just a little bit and they would be there, always by their side to provide support
always and forever, as promised in trainee years

exo rushed to where bts crew was, baekhyun went up to jimin and patted his shoulder "chim?"
"he won't answer" yoongi whispered, he was sitting next to jimin, his face in his palms
"it's okay yoongi" chanyeol said and sat next to yoongi, patting his back
"jin hyung" namjoon and hoseok ran towards people
"guys, you're here" jin whispered as namjoon hugged him tightly
"of course we're here, hyung" hoseok smiled and looked at taehyung, sighing
"tae tae?" hoseok whispered as he came to taehyung, taehyung shook his head and looked at the floor. hoseok grabbed a hold of him and make him look up
"now listen to me tae, stop with that expression, kook is strong, he'll do this" hoseok tried to encourage taehyung and surprisingly smaller boy leaned into hoseok
"thank you hyung" hoseok smiled slightly and patted taehyung's back gently
kyungsoo, kai, and luhan were talking to jin while jimin just sat there with baek caressing his hands and looking at him hopefully
"is he thirsty?" baek asked and surprisingly jimin shook his head a little
"hungry, chim?" chanyeol asked softly while still patting suga's back
jimin shook his head again
while everyone was talking quietly the doctor came out of the room and looked at people gathered in the small place
jimin sprung up, yoongi saw him move, his eyes turned back to functioning
"how is jungkook?" jimin cried out and yoongi got up, holding jimin so he won't pounce on doctor
"he's okay" the doctor said and pulled his face mask down to his chin "he's a strong cookie"
everyone sighed, jimin fell limp in yoongi's arms and buried his face into yoongi's chest
"you'll be able to see him in a bit, right now he's resting" taehyung sprung from hoseok's arms and went to doctor, hugging him
"thank you so much doc" taehyung cried out and doctor laughed wholeheartedly while patting his back
"i am glad i could help, now if you will excuse me" he smiled and nodded curtly before walking away
"h-he's okay... yoon- yoon- he's okay" jimin cried out while hugging yoongi, and wrapping his arms around him impossibly close
"i told you baby, he'll be fine, everything is okay, hush" yoongi comforted jimin, kissing his hair and caressing his chubby cheeks
"thank god" nerve-wrecked luhan sat down in the chair, in sehun's lap to be exact
"i almost got a heart attack" kyungsoo breathed the sigh of delight and leaned against kai, who tapped his forehead comfortingly
"it's okay now, hyung" namjoon smiled at jin and gave him a kiss
"yeah, it's all fine" jin whispered, relieved
"sorry we're late!" they heard a shout and soon got7 was standing in front of them, panting
"w-we're so-sorry" jackson panted and took few deep breaths
"hoseok called me but there was traffic, how is maknae?" youngjae asked and jin smiled at him
"thank goodness" mark sighed in delight
youngjae went to j-hope and wrapped his arms around him, kissing his neck
"hi baby" hoseok told him
they were in a relationship for over five months now "i missed you, you sounded so scared" youngjae told him
"thanks for coming baby, now that you're here i am calmer" hoseok said and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend protectively
"it's a good thing kookie is fine, i wasn't expecting anything else from golden maknae" yugyeom said enthusiastically, he and jungkook were best friends
"jack, i'm tired" mark whispered and leaned into jackson's arms, jackson smiled at him and let him kind of lay on him
"you okay baby?" jaebum asker junior and junior nodded while smiling "it's okay now"
"how long do we have to wait until kookie wakes up?" bambam asked while jumping on yugyeom's back
"in a bit, doctor didn't say exact time" jimin smiled, he was back to his usual self now
after about an hour doctor said that they could visit jungkook, all of them went into the room and saw small jungkook, smiling at them
"kook!" taehyung shouted quietly and ran towards jungkook, carefully taking his face and kissing his lips shortly, earning an 'aw' from crowd
"i'm sorry i made you worry guys" jungkook whispered in weak voice and jimin went up to him and caressed his cheek since he couldn't hug him
"you thought we will leave you alone, ha, kook" baek joked
"he's right, i knew you're gonna make it" lay smiled at him
"kookie is a strong cookie" bambam cheered and they all laughed in unison
"oi, jungkook, if you get arrest one more time and make jimin black out i will choke you" yoongi said jokingly
"kinky, but i would prefer if tae choked me" jungkook smirked and coughed "fuck, it hurts"
they all cracked up again, exo went home after three hours, kris was complaining that he was hungry and tao would whack the back of his head occasionally for that
got7 went home as well, except youngjae, he stayed with hoseok and the rest of bts
"babe i will drive you home, c'mon" hoseok smiled at half-asleep youngjae and the boy nodded, getting up and rubbing his sleepy eyes
"use protection" namjoon shouted and threw a condom at hoseok, he had five more left in his wallet
"jesus, namjoon!" hoseok scolded his dongsaeng and youngjae just laughed
"besides, i have them" hoseok smirked and youngjae stopped laughing, he blushed deep red as hoseok turned to him, smiling widely
"i-idiot" youngjae told him and marched out of the room, hoseok laughed loudly and waved at his boys before following his boyfriend
