I do not know if I exist in this world of sorrow,
Everyday I wish I were exempt from tomorrow,
But my wishes don't come true,
And tears fall down my face like dew.
If I knew that waking up would be so hard,
I would have stayed in bed,
Sometimes the dark is all too deceiving,
It whispers that I'm better off dead.
And what if I am?
Life is all too depressing for those like me,
Those who feel the weight of the world fall on their shoulders,
The burden and pain of all those around them
And collapse under the stress of it all.
I don't want to exist in this world of sorrow,
Where all people do is borrow,
And take,

And take,
Until there's nothing left but an illusion.
The shadows speak to me when I'm lonely,
They comfort me at times,
Others they tear me apart.
They tell me I whine,
That I'm not worth a dime,
And I believe it all the time.
My four walls envelope me in a cloak of night,
It's suffocating,
It's smothering,
It's all too much,
How do I escape?
