"Y/N," Michael whispered.
You whimpered and turned over.
"Y/N, we have to get up. We're checking out of the hotel," he said, rubbing your back.
"What time is it?" You asked.
"11:00."
"It's not even midnight yet? Why are they having us leave at this time?"
"I guess it works with the time we're scheduled to land."
You sat up and stretched your arms.
"Can I keep my onesie on?" You asked, smiling tiredly.
"Yeah, I'm not getting dressed either," he smiled.
"Okay, let me fix myself up a little," you said and headed to the bathroom.
While in the bathroom, you pulled your hair up, brushed your teeth, and washed your face. You were too lazy to change out of your bright red onesie. Besides, it was nighttime.
"Okay, I'm already packed. Are we meeting everyone outside?" You asked, walking out.
"Mhmm," Michael said.
He was wearing a red sweatshirt and a pair of red sweatpants. He smoothly put on his shades.
"Here," he said and handed your luggage to you.
"Thank you. You got everything?"
"Uh huh."
You smiled and walked out with him.
"Woah, it's Thing 1 and Thing 2!" Bill exclaimed.
"How do you have so much energy at this time?" You asked with droopy eyes.
"I do this thing called: Going to bed early. Ever heard of it?" He replied.
You rolled your eyes and laughed.
"Is everyone downstairs?" Michael asked.
"Yeah, the car is waiting at the back of the building. Let's head," Bill replied.
The three of you headed downstairs and to the back of the hotel. As you exited the staircase, a toddler spotted you in the hallway.
"Hi Beat It!" The kid waved.
You all laughed.
"What are you doing up at this time?" Michael asked, crouching down.
"My mommy let's me get a snack when I'm hungry."
"By yourself?" You asked.
"Not by myself," he shook his head.
"Jimmy?" A female voice called.
A young blonde woman walked around the corner. Michael quickly put his hood on and bowed his head.
"Oh hello! I'm sorry, he must have wandered off. The vending machine is this way, honey," she said.
"Oh, that's alright. We just wanted to make sure he was okay," you smiled.
She smiled, "Thank you."
She suddenly squinted her eyes.
"Have I seen you before?" She asked you.
"Me? Oh no, no. Of course not," you replied nervously.
Michael was recognized everywhere he went. Being with Michael, you became a very well-known celebrity. You never knew if someone would recognize you or have no idea who you were. It always depended on how much they knew about Michael and his life. Going out in public, you were always uncertain.
The woman looked at Michael. He turned his head, quickly.
"Mommy, that's Beat It and his girlfriend!" The boy exclaimed, smiling.
"We really need to get going. Have a nice night!" Bill interrupted and pushed you both out the door.
Before the woman could react, you guys were in the car.
~~~~
"That was way too close," Bill whispered, waiting in the car with you two.
The rest of Michael's security were loading the private jet with luggage.
"I know. We made it out right before she recognized us," Michael replied.
Michael looked at your sleeping body on his lap.
"I don't want her to struggle with going out in public the way I do," he said.
"She understands the price she has to pay, kid. Just know that she loves you. She doesn't mind having to face that," Bill replied.
Michael smiled softly. You turned over and opened your eyes.
"Are we there yet?" You mumbled.
"No, we're waiting to board the plane."
You nodded and curled up in his lap. He rubbed your head.
"Okay, they're ready for us," Bill said.
You sat up and got out of the car with Michael. He grabbed your hand and helped you up the stairs.
"Sorry, love. I'm only halfway awake," you apologized to Michael.
"It's fine. I know you're tired."
He put his arm around your shoulders and you leaned into him. The two of you took a seat in the cabin. Closing your eyes, you let your head relax into Michael's shoulder.
"I'll wake you up when we're there," Michael said.
~~~~
"Y/N! We're in London!" Michael said, shaking you gently.
You lifted your head.
"You didn't drool on me, did you?" He asked.
"No," you laughed.
You glanced out the window.
"It's beautiful! I've always wanted to see London," you smiled.
"It is, isn't it?" He agreed.
You stepped out of the plane. Holding his hand, you hurried into the SUV.
When driving to the hotel, fans chased the car and held up signs. A large amount of the signs had pictures of Michael and you.
"They have posters of both of us?" You asked.
"You're probably getting more well-known since you attend award shows with Mike," Bill replied.
You nodded, understandingly.
"This doesn't bother you, does it?" Michael asked.
"Oh no, Michael. I'm fine with it. I knew this would happen. I love the fans."
He smiled.
~~~~
Later that day, you decided to run down to the lobby of the London hotel. You wanted to get a quick snack and bottle of water. Since security was busy, you didn't bother asking them to come with you.
Once you picked out your items, you paid for them at the desk.
"Y/N?" Someone called.
You turned around to see a young girl wearing a Bad World Tour t-shirt. Her eyes widened and she screamed. Everyone in the lobby turned to you and immediately recognized you.
"Y/N! Oh my God!"
"Y/N! Can we have a picture?"
"Y/N! Ask Michael to come down!"
"I love you, Y/N!"
You quickly thanked the cashier and ran. The fans chased you down the hall until a security guard spotted you.
"Y/N! Back up, everyone! Back up!" He yelled.
More security came and blocked the crowd. You ran into an elevator.
~~~~
"Hello?" Michael answered the hotel phone.
"Michael, is Y/N alright?" Bill asked, frantically.
"I haven't seen her in a minute, why?"
"She was mobbed!"
"What?" He asked.
"In the lobby, a big crowd of fans mobbed her! Luckily, security stopped it in time!"
Just as Bill said this, you busted through the door.
"Y/N!" Michael exclaimed.
You nearly jumped on him.
"Are you okay? Bill, I'll call you back," he said and hung up.
He sat you down and grabbed your face.
"Are you alright? Are you hurt?" He asked.
"I'm okay, babe. I'm fine," you replied with a shaky voice.
"I won't let that happen again, okay? I should've been with you."
"It's not your fault, Michael."
"I'm so glad you're alright," he said, holding you.
"We just need to take some new things into consideration. I'm going to need security with me now. I'm not able to walk freely anymore. Don't worry, as long as I'm protected, I'll be fine."
