Hi, my name is Violet and this is my story.
We are all sitting on the dinning table. My father asking us about our day, my mother smiling at us, while my brothers dig into their food like wild animals, and then there's me, Violet Smith. I look at my family and smile, feeling grateful for this blessed life.
Little did I know one day it would all be gone.
Now, I look at my father, and see sadness in his eyes. I look at my mother, and see nothing but pain. My brothers look more confused than ever. Finally, I look at myself, and feel nothing but emptiness. However, it feels emptier than ever, looking at that empty seat beside me that used to belong to her, after he took her away from us. Shrugging off these painful memories, I go back to eating my food, the only thing that brings me happiness.
You may be wondering what the hell is going on. So fasten your seat belts. The country has been in bad terms with other countries for a while now. Everyone could sense that things were going badly. Fights everywhere, increased army all around, shops closing down, the sound of gunshots every once in a while, people fleeing to other countries for safety, no more music at night, no more life. Yes, basically, everyone knew what was happening, but it was too hard to finally accept it.
A war was breaking across the country.
The clock is ticking, and are getting worse by the minute. The longer people stayed here, the more endangered they would be. So now, we have minimal time to flee from this danger to a new country which I've never been to before.
Getting ready to leave everything and everyone behind and focusing on adapting to a whole new country, new lifestyle, new school, new friends, new home, new life and maybe, new love?
What else could go wrong now?

But I've been wanting to do this for ages now, and honestly, I just wanted to give it a shot. I've always loved reading, writing, and all that. So why not try it out myself?!
