Raina's POV.

Raina was almost finished revamping her x-wing. All she was doing now was adding a new coat of paint. She was quite proud. Raina pressed her brush lightly against the metal ship and ran her brush gently down the ship. The bright red paint covered up the old pealing red paint.

Raina felt a familiar presence coming near. She looked up from her brush and stared at the metal of her ship.

After leaving Dagobah she had basically turned her back completely on being a Jedi and never really practiced anything, so she was quite rusty at it. As she focused more on the presence she began to almost recognize who it was, but was interrupted by a smooth male voice.

"Raina!"

Raina felt frustration fill her. She had so wanted to be able to figure it out for herself. She turned around and smiled at Luke.

"Luke! Hey! What's up? How did the meeting go?" She asked.

He smiled widely. "It went great! We officially have a new constitution."

Raina smiled. "That's great Luke! I'm so proud of you! I knew you could do it!"

"I couldn't have done it with out you. Everything you said the other night was true. And I thank you for helping me." He told her in gratitude.

Raina smiled at him warmly. "Your welcome."

There was a comfortable silence between the two, but was interrupted by Luke.

"I have some good news." Luke said in excitement.

"What news?" She asked amused by his boyish excitement.

"Well, Mon-Mothma has assigned me to go with a team to Coruscant. She thinks that I could find some Jedi information there and could use it to begin rebuilding the Jedi Order."

"That's wonderful Luke!" Raina exclaimed.

"Yes, but there's more." Luke looked her in the eye, with a smile forming on his lips.

He spoke with an authoritative tone. "From this point forward Raina Starlight I, Luke Skywalker the last remaining Jedi in the Galaxy, officially take you on as my first, new Padawan."

Raina couldn't believe it! She smiled in astonishment, gasped and ran into his arms. He smiled widely and embraced her, almost picking her up off the ground.

Raina pulled away, still smiling from ear to ear. "Are you serious?"

He smiled and nodded, never missing a beat. "Absolutely."

She laughed happily. "I can't believe this!" She paused remembering what he had said.

"Wait. What about when you go to Coruscant. Who knows how long you'll be gone."

Luke looked at her. "You mean how long we'll be gone." He corrected her.

Raina furrowed her eyebrows. "What?" She asked.

A smile played on Luke's lips. "I mean if you want to stay behind, I guess. . ."

Raina's mouth dropped. "Your taking me with you?" She asked.

"That was the plan. That's what Master's are supposed to do right? Take their Padawan's with them wherever they go? At least that's what someone told me a while back."

Raina smiled widely. She knew he was talking about the time she had gotten angry at him for almost not letting her go to Degobah with him. Raina was so happy. She just couldn't believe it all.

"But if you don't want to go. . ." Luke began playfully.

"I want to go!" Raina interrupted quickly.

Luke smiled. "Good, because I wouldn't want to go without you."

Raina blushed. She looked down trying to hide it. "I wouldn't want you to go without me." She answered sweetly.

There was silence. She looked up at him to find Luke staring at her with admiring smile. His eyebrows raised seeming to realize that he was staring. He looked away. Raina felt herself smile.

"Um, well. . .I better get going and get everything ready. You should too. We'll be leaving tomorrow morning. I'll meet you at the Falcon." He told her in a complete masterful tone.

Raina couldn't help, but smile. She had never heard him talk that way. Even when he had trained her early on he had never used that tone of voice. Of course he had only been twenty- one at the time. She actually liked it.

"Alright. See you there." She answered.

Raina watched as her new Jedi master walked off. She felt thrilled and excited. She would finally become a Jedi! Raina was twenty-three years old now. She would probably be the oldest Padawan ever recorded in history, but she didn't mind. Raina knew she could do it. She would never give up.

Raina put away the supplies for her ship and began to walk to her room to pack. Who knew how long they would be gone or if they would even be sent to another planet later on. On her way out of the docking bay and to her room, she heard a man call her name.

"Hey Raina! Wait up!"

She stopped and looked to her right to see Wedge running up to her.

"Hi, Wedge." She greeted happily.

"Hey, I saw you talking to Luke. What was so exciting?" He asked curiously.

Raina smiled widely. "Luke has taken on a his first Padawan. He's a master now." She smiled.

Wedge's eyes widened. "What?! No kidding! Well that's great! Who is it?" He asked.

Raina smirked. "Me."

He looked at her in surprise.
"You? Are you kidding me? I never knew you wanted to become a Jedi." Wedge commented.

"Yep. I just never told anyone. Actually I was a Padawan to a great Jedi Master when I was eighteen, before I joined the rebel alliance. Her name was Ashoka Tano." Raina explained.

"Wow! What made you quit?" He asked.

Raina looked down. "I didn't. Master Tano was killed. . . by the Empire." She answered not wanting to bring up Vader.

"She was never able to finish my training. Instead , right before she died, she told me to go find a master named Obi-Wan Kenobi and that he would finish my training. So I did, but he was killed by the Empire also before I could even meet him." She said sadly.

"Anyway, it turned out that he had been teaching Luke as well. He had taught Luke much more than Asoka had taught me, so I ended up asking Luke to teach me."

"Then you quit?" Wedge asked again.

Raina shook her head. "No. After the battle of Hoth Luke and I went to a planet called Degobah to find a great Jedi master named Yoda. We found him and he trained both of us for a while. Then. . .something happened. I saw something in a vision that scared me so I left and came back to the fleet. I haven't trained ever since." Raina frowned.

Wedge nodded. "I see. That's all very interesting. You must tell me more sometime." He smiled.

"I will. I promise, when Luke and I get back we'll tell you all sorts of stories." She smiled at Wedge.

He furrowed his eyebrows. "What? Get back?" He asked.

She nodded. "Yes. Luke and I are going with the team that is being sent to Coruscant. Mon-Mothma has advised Luke to look for information about the Jedi and the Order. She is sure he'll find something to help him rebuild the Jedi Order."

Wedge shook his head and smiled. "Wow. I never thought I'd see the day the Jedi would come back. I hope I do get to see it."

Raina smiled at him and nodded in agreement. "Me too."

Raina looked over down the hall and then back to Wedge. "Well, I'll see you later Wedge. I've gotta go pack." She waved.

Wedge smiled. "Okay. See you later. And good luck!" He told her.

She smiled at him. "Thanks." Raina turned around and walked to her room. She couldn't wait for tomorrow.
