I skipped back to our base while licking the vanilla ice cream that Leon bought me.
"Hey! Wait!" Leon yelled.
"Can you please carry my bag?" I giggled.
"I'm not your boyfriend." He told me.
I pouted and suddenly felt arms around my waist.
"Of course you're not her boyfriend. If it's going to be anyone, it will be me." Oliver's voice said.
I flickered his forehead, "What are you talking about, Ollie?"
"Since I am courting you, doesn't that mea-"
He was cut off when I twirled around his arms and twisted his arm around his back.
"Dayana!" Leon and Oliver exclaimed in unison.
"Whoopsee!" I giggled and let go of his arm.
Oliver massaged his arm, flexing a little showing off his bic-
Get a hold of yourself, woman!
I felt something being thrown at my back.
I turned around and saw my backpack on the floor and Leon with a little smirk.
"LEON!" I yelled and started chasing him.
He went on top of his car. I was about to jump too when I remembered I was wearing a skirt.
I just grabbed a pebble and hit the back of his head with it.
Headshot!
He yelped in surprise and I dusted off the imaginary dust on my shoulders.
"Alright tiger, enough of that. Let's get you to your room." Oliver says and grabs my hand.
I shrugged and let him drag me while I yelled, "The queen Dayana will live on!"
We finally got to my room and I took my bag from Oliver and twirled.
"Whee! I'm suspended for a week!" I squealed.
"What did you do this time?" Oliver asked, ruffling my hair.
I pouted, "I did absolutely nothing but breathe, talk, walk, and live my life."
He was about to say something but the door burst open.
"You got suspended, I hear?" Kylie demanded, snatching me from Oliver.
I giggled, "Yup. Ain't it amazing?"
"It isn't. Not. One. Bit." Kylie replied, glaring at me.
"Hey, let her be." Oliver defended me.
I giggled, "I'm tired, can I go to sleep?"
"We—" Kylie said, narrowing her eyes at me, "—are gonna have a long talk."
"I know we're gonna have a one minute talk so, okay." I said with a smirk planted on my face.
"Can I get a goodbye kiss first?" Oliver asked.
I rolled my eyes and kissed his cheek, making him blush and freeze in place.
I giggled, "Bye Ollie."
Kylie rolled her eyes and dragged my inside our room.
Once we were inside, she hugged me.
"I'm so proud of you Dayana! For once it's suspension and not getting expelled!" She squealed.
I giggled.
"Also, stop playing with Oliver. I think you're hurting him." Kylie scolded.
I pouted, "Even my best friend can't read what I feel?"
"What?!" She exclaimed.
"Like I said, even you can't read what I feel, and neither can I." I sighed.
"You mean you're confused on what you feel about Oliver?" She asked, confused.
I pouted then nodded, then giggled, then sighed again.
"You're stressing out. You should go to sleep." Kylie told me.
I nodded and yawned. I collapsed on my bed and fell asleep the instance I did.
"One, two, three, four- uhm... five, six, seven, eight, nine- hm... ten! Ready or not, here I come!" I hear Travis say.
I bit my lip to prevent me from laughing.
Travis is never good at hide and seek.
"Found 'ya!" Travis exclaimed.
I yelped in surprise and was about to roll off the hill but Travis grabbed my wrist in time.
"How did you find me?!" I exclaimed, standing up properly.
"Because I am amazing!" He exclaimed.
I sat down on the grass, "You're lying."
"It's true, and I also have future vision." He lied again.
"Stop lying. We both know future vision doesn't exist. And if it does, you would've predicted that you would lose." I growled.
He scratched his head, "I may or may not have cheated."
I stood up, "I knew it! Hmph, you liar."
I was going down the hill but took a wrong step on my way down.
"Dayana!" Travis yelled and grabbed my wrist.
I fell on my butt and scraped my knee while Travis sat next to me.
"Are you okay?" Travis asked me.
I started to cry, "Ouchie!"
"Where?" He asked like the big brother he is.
"On my knee! Trav, make it not owie." I said while I put my hands on my eyes.
"Shh, it's okay. It's okay." He calmed me down.
"It's not okay, stupid. Can't you see I have blood?" I said and hit the back of his head.
He glared at me, "I'm gonna call mommy and daddy. Stay here."
Oh yeah, sure. I'll stay here in a hill you dragged me to in a middle of a forest with an injury and risk being kidnapped.
Mommy was right, I have a huge imagination for a four year old.
"Hi." Someone squeaked.
I looked around and saw a boy, about the same age as me.
"Hi." I replied.
"You have a scrape." He told me, pointing to my knee.
"I know that." I replied.
He went over to me and sat next to me. "Left or right?"
"What?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.
"Left or right?" He asked again.
"Right." I said.
He gave me a teddy bear. A small one. With a chain attached to it.
"What's this?" I asked him.
He suddenly took off the teddy bear's head and out came a blade.
"Wow! Amazing!" I said in awe.
"Use it to protect yourself." He said, "And since you chose right, I get a feeling we'll meet when we grow older."
"How will I know if it's you?" I asked him.
"I have a keychain like that too. It's a polar bear. My sister told me to bring this to you and when we grow up we'll... fight?" He said, confused.
I laughed, "Guess we will then."
He smiled and nodded, "How 'bout we use these as weapons?"
"Sounds great! As long as we don't kill each other, haha!" I said.
"I hope we don't kill each other." He muttered.
We didn't talk and I giggled to fill the silence.
"What's your name?" He asked me.
"My name is-"
"Dayana!" Travis's voice yelled.
"Dayana, eh? Nice name. Looks like someone is here to see you." He said and ran away.
Travis got to my side, taking deep breaths.
"Where's Mommy and Daddy?" I asked him, tilting my head.
He pointed at the end of the hill and I saw Mommy and Daddy coming up here.
"Hi princess. Did you scrape your knee?" Daddy asked me.
"Obviously." I said and giggled.
Daddy laughed and Mommy patched me up with a Hello Kitty bandage.
Mommy carried me in her arms.
"Are you tired?" She asked me.
I yawned, "Yup."
She laughed and we went down the hill.
Travis was behind Mommy so I can see him.
"What were you doing while I was away?" Travis asked me.
"I met a new friend and he gave me a cute keychain." I replied, "We're gonna fight when we're older."
"Really? You have such a wide imagination." Mommy said and tickled me.
I giggled, "Mom! Stop! And he's not imagiminanary!"
They all laughed, both at how I said my sentence and from not believing me.
I pouted and put the keychain in my pocket.
I forgot to ask for his name!
I woke up and saw that Kylie fell asleep in her desk again.
I check the clock and saw that it was only quarter to six.
I went over to Kylie and before I could wake her up, I saw that the keychain was on her desk.
"Kylie, wake up." I said and shook her.
She didn't budge at first so I thought I could prank her but she woke up when I was about to get one of my toys.
"Darn it!" I exclaimed.
Kylie rolled her eyes.
"Why do you have my keychain, by the way?" I asked her.
"I received a suspicious text message telling me to take it." She replied, rubbing her eyes.
"Are you stupid?! It's sus-pi-cious! How can you trust it?!" I yelled.
She laughed, "I was joking, stupid."
"Stop pretending to be funny. I'm funny." I said and snatched my keychain from her desk.
"Also, I don't know whom to ship you with anymore." Kylie said.
"What?" I asked, tilting my head to the side.
"I mean, you and Leon are definitely relationship goals but at the same time you and Oliver are sweet to each other." Kylie rambled on.
I looked at her blankly and slapped myself, too hard that I felt it turning crimson red.
"THE SHIPS!"
