daddyhorseok this is for you. This is based off of one of my favorite yaoi manga oneshots called 'Alone in the King's Harem' and I hope you enjoy it!
Once upon a time, in a small country was a small castle.
There lived a king, queen and their son, Prince Jungkook.
They had a few maids, guards and a handful of concubines for the Prince to engage with.
"Thank you for summoning me tonight your majesty" Taehyung bowed in front of the prince.
Taehyung's eyes were empty but full of seduction as he was taught.
It hid his underlining of nervousness as he was new and would be deflowered by the oh so handsome prince that night.
All concubines can be identified by their symmetrical faces covered in makeup, their long well-kept hair styled with decorative pins and rolls in various colors and their long bright colored kimonos.
"What is your name my dear?" Jungkook asked gently.
"It's Taehyung your highness" he said simply.
The Prince smiled warmly "what a beautiful name"
Taehyung in a moment of shyness, hid his face behind his long kimono sleeves at the compliment.
"Now for your reward, tell me what you would like, anything you want. Money, jewels, new clothes. Anything"
Taehyung put down his hands and spoke sincerely, "Your majesty, when you say 'anything', there is nothing that comes to my mind that I, a simple peasant, could desire. I apologize, you may scoff at me".
Jungkook looked at Taehyung for a moment and caressed his cheek.
"That's no problem, then pick something from this room, as nothing here is of great value to me." Jungkook gestured to all of the small trinkets and jewels surrounding the walls and shelves.
Taehyung looked around the room with uncertainty in his eyes.
He's never been offered anything by royalty before.
His eyes remained focused on a small ceramic bowl on a table full of small white cubes.
"What are these?" He pointed to them
The prince looked at him strangely "oh those? They're sugar cubes."
Taehyung hummed in acknowledgment, he's never seen such strange yet pretty things.
They had in different colored patterns, as many as Taehyung could imagine. It amazed him.
"Could I have these...sugar cubes then?" He asked.
Jungkook chuckled at the silly concubine "are you sure? They won't last after you eat them"
Taehyung looked at him surprised as he heard the most unbelievable news, "You can eat them!?! But they are so pretty!"
Jungkook was a bit startled at Taehyung's excitement, "um yes, you can eat them, that's what they're made for"
"That's amazing..." Taehyung looked back at white cubes in complete astonishment.
Jungkook smiled at him.
He picked up one of the sugary cubes and placed it in front of Taehyung's polished lips.
"Open your mouth"
Taehyung did so and allowed the cube to dissolve in his mouth.
He gasped at the unbelievable taste.
"It's so sweet! It tastes incredible"
Jungkook couldn't help but smile wider at how easily pleased this concubine was.
Most concubines would ask for so much more extravagant things and hardly be satisfied after.
Jungkook leaned closer and kissed Taehyung's lips, tasting the sugar.
"Ah yes, very sweet" Jungkook licked his lips.
Taehyung blushed.
"Now, how about we continue our night together hmm?" Jungkook placed his hands on Taehyung's shoulders.
Taehyung actually forgot about why he was there for a moment but he shyly nodded and let the prince disrobe him.
Jungkook could tell how nervous the concubine was and decided to take things very slow and gentle as not to scare him.
He wants Taehyung to be happy to come back for another night, not afraid.
~There's some light smut just skip it if you want.~
"Such a lovely body you have" Jungkook mused, grazing his fingers over Taehyung's torso and bare body.
The touches tickled Taehyung's skin and the princes words left him warm.
Soon the prince slowly entered him, Taehyung gasped, gripping the sheets he was lying on.
Jungkook kept eye contact the whole time and Taehyung could almost cry in embrassment and also pleasure.
Jungkook rocked into him at a gentle pace, but just fast enough for both of them to feel good.
"A-ah.." Taehyung moaned as the bed slightly creaked and it made the feeling so much more real for Taehyung.
Taehyung gasped out as his release made him tremble violently, eyes closed shut as tears fell.
He never felt so close to someone before.
Even though he shouldn't feel this way, he couldn't help but feel loved and that prince actually cared for him.

They laid on the prince's bed, Taehyung was fast asleep and lying comfortably.
Jungkook couldn't help but gaze at the concubine's sleeping face.
Even though Jungkook had just met him, he could feel himself falling for the concubine.
"Ah what a hassle I'll have gathering all the sugar cubes in the castle tomorrow" he smiled to himself.
The next morning, Taehyung was shocked to see a large bowl of the sugar cubes waiting for him in his chamber.
They were in different colors and patterns and shapes.
They had stars, flowers, dragons, birds, stripes, polka dots and much more.
Taehyung instantly knew they were from the prince.
He smiled with glee and ate only one each day to keep them for as long as possible.
Taehyung was summoned to the prince's room very often, almost every night and they grew so much closer.
With every sugar cube Taehyung ate, his love for the prince grew deeper.
One night after they made love again, Jungkook threaded his hands through Taehyung's long ebony black hair as he rambled.
"Ah Taehyung, how I want to give you so many things, I want to dress you in the finest clothes and feed you with the best foods. You deserve the most extravagant things"
"Your majesty" Taehyung held one of Jungkook's hands.
"Even if you say those things, I'm already pleased " Taehyung smiled with honesty, he hoped Jungkook understood.
"Oh I see" was the prince's response.
Taehyung realized how the prince's mind seemed to wonder to a place.
A place where Taehyung's voice couldn't reach.
Soon the prince became the king after his father was assassinated by the rival kingdom.
In a fit of rage, the kind hearted prince, now called King Jungkook, declared war.
And with the small army they had, the new king won.
The King was fueled with the confidence of his first success and declared war on other countries.
With the money he earned from the conquering, he expanded his kingdom.
The castle grew and more servants and concubines lived in the palace.
And poor Taehyung was buried in this brand new world where everything changed.
He felt forgotten and alone without Jungkook
He was mindlessly devouring the sugar cubes until a voice startled him.
"Hey Taehyung! Stop standing around, you've been summoned to the King's room, don't keep him waiting" the chambermaid, Seokjin said.
Taehyung was elated.
He hasn't been summoned in over two months.
He practically ran to the prince's room as fast as he could and eagerly opened the door.
There he saw Jungkook sitting on a throne like chair , in the most expensive fabrics.
"Hello there" Jungkook smiled yet with tired eyes.
"Hello your majesty" , Taehyung beamed.
How he has missed King Jungkook.
"I haven't seem you before have I? Tell me your name my sweet" Jungkook said, like it was scripted.
Taehyung was shocked, couldn't believe what Jungkook said.
No...it can't be so.
"I-it's Taehyung your grace"
"I see, well ask for anything. Anything your heart could desire I can give you" Jungkook boasted.
"Well...then I would like...sugar cubes" Taehyung said in high hopes that Jungkook would remember.
Jungkook looked at him strangely and burst out in laughter.
"You must be joking! What a strange one you are"
With that, Taehyung collapsed to the floor in tears.
In the process of gaining riches and power, Jungkook completely forget about Taehyung .
This happened every time Taehyung was summoned which wasn't very often anyway.
And everytime, Jungkook asked for Taehyung's name even though he's heard it so many times before and it crushed Taehyung.
Taehyung sat on the floor and looked into the large bowl and realized he only had two sugar cubes left.
He held them in his hands and felt tears well up in his eyes.
Someone bumped into him.
"Hey! You're in the way"
Taehyung looked up see one of his few friends that was also a concubine.
"Ah, I'm sorry Jimin, but did something happen?" He asked as he saw Jimin with a bag over his shoulder.
"What do you mean? Haven't you heard? The king lost the latest war! He's as poor as a commoner now" Jimin scoffed.
Taehyung really had no idea.
Everyone who was in the castle was gone, except for Taehyung.
He walked to the throne room where he saw Jungkook sitting, head in his hands in despair.
"Someone is still here? The exit is that way, take your things and go wherever you wish" Jungkook said without looking up.
Taehyung sighed, "no your majesty, I don't want to leave"
Jungkook looked up and stared at the concubine.
He laughed bitterly, "I have nothing to my name, there's nothing I can give you"
Taehyung shook his head, "I don't want anything from you, your grace, I just want to be by your side" he kneeled in front of Jungkook.
"Why would you want that?"
"Your majesty, please take one " Taehyung unwrapped a handkerchief to reveal the two sugar cubes he saved.
"Sugar cubes?"
Jungkook took and ate one and all of his memories with Taehyung came back.
He remembers how excited Taehyung was to eat the sugar cubes, he remembers how beautiful Taehyung looked that night, he remembers how sweet Taehyung's moans were when they made love the first time.
He remembers everything.
Jungkook's hand trembled and tears fell "it's so sweet, it tastes wonderful Taehyung"
Taehyung cried out of joy as well.
Finally, Jungkook remembered him.
Taehyung latched himself onto Jungkook and Jungkook held him tightly.
"How could I forget you?"He wondered as Taehyung sobbed in his arms.
After that, they spent the rest of their lives together by each other's side happily.
They may not be rich, they may not be powerful.
But they had each other, and together, they were rich and powerful in their own way.
