LAST TIME:
"I have heard of the exit of this place, I have to hold the button for a time don't I? If that means she gets home safe I will gratefully stay down here the rest of my immortal life." I said to him as I looked at his eyes, he was taken back at what I was willing to do for her.
"You never seize to amaze me Percy; you are truly what mother expected out of you that is for sure. But I think you are wrong that you think you will never leave this place." He said which confused me.
"What do you mean I must have someone hold the button on the elevator, and I don't think any monster is willing to hold that button for me." I said as he smiled a little.
"Percy did I say anything about you taking the elevator, this is kind of what I was wanting to talk to you about." He said as I got a confused look on my face.
"What were you wanting to talk to me about?" I asked him.
"Percy I am thinking of going were my brothers and sisters are, I am thinking of fading Percy. But I cannot leave this place to itself that is what I am coming to you for." Thing suddenly got a lot clearer as he said this.
"Percy I want you to inherit my domain of the Pit."
NOW:
PERCY POV:
I just sat staring at him as the words came out of his mouth, for a couple of minutes the only sound was a Piper's sweet snore. Finally after a while I had it all worked out in my head about why he wanted this and all of it.
Tartarus was very lonely I could tell that much, but with the current loss of our family he lost what little he had that he cared for. Me and Gaea weren't enough to keep his will in the realm of this world, so he decided to fade to again meet our family that he loved. Gaea being the bitch she currently is I kind of understand his feelings in the whole matter.
"Okay I will inherit your domain of the pit, but I want to know before I officially accept it the domain. Do I have to come here every so often and do things?" I finished as he smiled at me.
"No you don't it is self-regulating like the sky and love, you don't have to do much. But occasionally checkup and torture someone nothing much, just accept the domain and it will be yours once you leave this place." He said as I grew a little confused at what he said.
"What do you mean once I leave this place?" I asked him.
"Oh I mean it is the thing you have to do to unlock the domain, but you can't use any powers that remain on you. But you can use Hestia's blessing for food I know how little food there is down her trust me." He said as I almost laughed at his facially expression.
"Okay I will leave soon but I have one request before you fade, tell mom I said hi okay." I said standing up as he stood up; I gave him one good hug as he seemed not to know what to do as I did it. After a second I let go as he starred at me like I was some fool.
"Tartarus I know I only knew you for a short time but good luck in the realm of the faded, I hope you meet mother and again tell her I said hello and I love her. Also tell the others for thank you for their gifts and domains, I don't really know what else to say." I finished as suddenly a tear left Tartarus's eye but only one and he whipped it away before he thought I could see what it was.
"I will Percy don't worry I will, I guess I will watch over you in the realm of the faded take care young one." He said as suddenly he body started to flicker out of existence, he just kept looking at me with a proud smile as he flicker once again the finally vanished all together.
I knew all of the gods around the world, Greek or not could feel what just happened. The passing of the lord of the pit shook the earth around me as it mourned it faded master. After a little the earth stopped shaking and in came James with a handkerchief rubbing were his eyes would be.
"This way sir I will walk you to the front of the house." He said in a sad voice as I nodded and picked up Piper and strapped her to my back again, just then the hoodie again took it anti-Tartarus gas suit form on her as we walked out of the building.
This time all of the people paid attention to me as they looked me over trying to figure out what I was doing with their master. But just as I reached the middle of the room I was encountered by a very stupid son of Hades.
"Hello Hitler." I said as he stood in front of me with a couple other famous murders and people behind him.
"Hello mama's boy." He said in a thick German accent.
"James can I invoke a little authority over them before I get my brothers domain?" I asked the skeleton as he nodded to me.
"Put everyone here on double time for tortures for six years, and if this ever happens again double it." I said as he almost seemed to smile as I shoved past Hitler as James suddenly pulled out a whip.
"You heard your new master everyone back to your torture chambers, you better not run either you all remember what happened to Attila the Hun right?" He asked as a shiver could be felt through the room as the subject seemed a little fresh.
As everyone scurried to their cells I confronted James as he whipped one to get moving faster.
"What happened to Hun?" I asked him as he got an evil grin on his fleshless face.
"He tried to escape from here to only be made a play thing or as you call then a 'but buddy' for some Cyclopes, but after every day after his ass is torn in two and his guts are everywhere he reforms into his previous body. But he stays awake the whole time, and then the Cyclopes eat him after he reforms to be shit out..." I stopped him there as I felt it was enough detail for now.
"Okay put Hitler in the same torture as him but put it so after they eat him he stay consume and feels every cell being digest and have them shit in lava to up the ante." I said as James got a wicked grin on his face.
"You are already making up new tortures and you're not even a day in the job I like you already young master." He said as he took at a I pad and started to do something that probably involved Hitler.
"Hope to see you soon James, hey by the way after I get the domain of the pit for real does that mean all the monsters will be under my control, and I can summon them to my aid when I chose to?" I asked him as he looked up at me with his empty sockets.
"Only the one who obey you completely like me and the servants in this building, also all of the wardens down hear as well. They are the only ones that you can summon for now but they add up to about three hundred, but I hope to serve you in the time of your needs." He said as I nodded and opened the door to the courtyard.
I could feel the poisonous air assault my lungs as I walked forward as reached the gates of the building, outside the gates was my followers as they returned as I opened the gates leaving behind the house of Tartarus to its servants.
The monsters spread in a circle around me as I continued forward as they continued to watch my every move. Eventually after a mile or two they were all behind me as I jogged out of this hell hole.
LINE BREAK:
I stood outside the giant hole were the five rivers ran into I couldn't help but admire the size of the hole as it was massive to the caver that I thought was much smaller than I thought. It had taken me two days to get here as I traversed the land, Piper I fed liquid anything or I chewed up something solid as I forced it down her throat.
Every time she was about to wake up I did the nerve pinch to keep her asleep as I did not want her to witness the carnage around us. I passed through a desert that took a day alone as the winds were so strong they tore my flesh away, but only the top lay as I used about ten water bottles on each stop.
But as we exited the desert we entered a sea of boiling water, to say it hurt would be an understatement, it took me half a day to swim across it as I couldn't use my powers to propel myself across it. Piper the whole time stayed on my back in her safe cocoon of my hoodie as it blocked out the elements.
But while we were down here I didn't feel the need to urinate or shit, not even Piper had gone to the bath room as it confused me. But I didn't worry as I traversed this landscape that put me to my limits, even the flying monsters following me laid off as they saw me travel this hell hole.
Now that I think about it I haven't had a single monster attack since I made it out of the forest, and my little group had dwindled to a few flying ones that followed me. The other half day was me getting out of the forest as I reached the desert.
But as I rested in front of the hole in the wall I felt a difference in the air, instead of its normal one hundred degrees F. It was getting much cooler than before as I noticed my breath turning into mist as the temperature of the hole was much different than the rest.
I swallowed the rest of my water and pizza I summed as I looked down at Piper; I remembered the hoodie will always stay the right comfy temperature always. I put her with Soul Reaper back into their normal place as I secure her feet around my waste and her arm around my neck.
I steeled myself as I descended deeper into the pit to where the door was located, as I went farther down the temperature dropped more and more until frost was forming on my skin. It didn't mind me as I was used to colder temperatures than this.
I walked on my worn down shoes on jagged sharp rocks as I walked down hoping hot to slip and fall on Piper, after about six hours of climbing down there was no more roaring of the rivers around me. I looked around to find the rivers were gone, but I could still feel the liquid around us as I walked farther down the slope as I continued on.
Finally I reached a flat spot after a day of non-stop walking; my legs felt a little sore but other than that I was fine. As I looked around I noticed I was no longer alone as I was on the way here, all around me were giant zit like things that held embryos of different monsters and other things. I couldn't help but look around as I walked slowly around the field.
I then noticed that the bubbles of sorts were filled with water from the river of fire, each one had the fire water in them healing the monsters as they reformed. I just started to run as realized what this place was, it was a monster farm I should say. But not any other monster farm a quick bread one and from what I could tell all of them were reforming at the same rate, and I was not wanting to go up against an endless swarm of monsters anytime soon.
As I ran I noticed it finally started to get noisy again, they were monster voices as I hid behind a rock. As I hid I noticed the voiced were coming below me, I looked over the rock to find it was at the edge of a cliff and I almost ran off the cliff. Down below were lots of monsters and I mean more than the force I had to face at the mountain range.
"Dam how am I going to get around this?" I thought as I looked around to find the elevator at the far side of the chasm. At the door stood some two dudes I couldn't make out but I could tell they were titans from their hulking size. As I looked around I noticed groups of monsters going to the elevator and going up as one of them held down the button.
After a while I thought of something stupid, that I had to do. I ran over to the wall and stared to sideways climb it around the massive chasm. I know it isn't the smartest of my ideas but it had to be done to get Piper out of here. As I shimmed around the monster hoard I finally was half way as I noticed the two titans suddenly get excited.
As I watched them I noticed one went in the elevator and went up, the only thing that could come to my mind was the demigods had finally reached the other side. Then I started even faster as the gate had become a little less guarded, as I hurried myself across the wall with Piper still on my back I finally reached it in ten minutes.
As I positioned myself right above the elevator I caught some of my strength back as my hands bled from the work I put them through. As I caught my breath I waited for the right time, the right time came when I heard a ding form the elevator that was my opportunity to do my stuff. In one swift motion I jumped off the side of the wall and sailed through the air straight down to where the Titan was standing.
Without even looking up I sailed down as I drew Soul Reaper and rammed the sword straight in his skull as golden blood poured out of the wound and sprayed all over me. With a light kick and a pull of the sword he fell to the ground in a heap as I his body suddenly dissolved before I could capture his soul.
"Damit!" I shouted as his body turned into a black slug and returned to the ground, the monsters around us didn't even move it all happened so fast they were stunned. As I stood ready I remembered Piper on my back, as the monsters stayed stunned the titan had just been killed I came to another stupid conclusion.
"Sorry Piper but you will have to go without me this time." I said as I picked her up off my back and ran for the elevator doors, as soon as I got there I set he inside and gave her a quick peck on the lips as the hoodie returned into a normal hoodie.
'B keep her safe you got that and A I give you permission to take over her body to only move her or protect her with the armor. There is a titan up there so you may have to use A's armor form to take him out, but please keep her safe you two." I finished.
'Yes boss you won't have to worry about her I promise you.' A mentally said as I nodded to him.
'I guess I will see you in a while you two.' I said as I stood up and walked out of the elevator, Piper only had about thirty more minutes on her nerve pinch thing. So I had to hurry as the monsters were just regaining their senses.
"Get the demigod!" Shouted a Cyclopes.
I ran forward and slammed my hand down on the button as the doors sealed shut as it went up, but don't worry as I ran to the button I made sure to slash the chains holding down the elevator door as it went up. As the monsters ran towards me I summoned a bottle of water and poured it over my hand that was on the button.
The second I did that it froze my hand to the pressed down button it was so cold down here, that way even if they do manage somehow to sever my arm the button won't let up. I stood calm and ready as they charged forward, the ground shook at the weight of the army as I stood nearly powerless in front of them.
Soul Reaper's point was in the ground as I stood ready for them to attack me; I set a mental stop watch in my head for fourteen minutes. As the ground shook and the monsters stared to flood my position I stood calm and collected. They would not keep me from my task at hand; even if it killed me I would not stop my duty until those fourteen minutes were up.
The first monster reached me but didn't last a second as I sliced through him, in that second I stole his soul and summoned him to my aid. Monster after monster they came destroying my summoned forces almost faster than I could kill them and summon them. But still my hand remained on the button, frozen in place unmoving.
Black sludge covered the ground along with monster dust, guts, and red monster blood. Time seemed to slow as I dodged the blows of monsters, my already weakened body barley kept up with them. But I still held on strong as I occasionally got a slice on the arm or back, most of my summoned monsters remained stationary behind me protecting my back.
Soul Reaper glimmered with red monster blood as it spilled around me as they swarmed, but because I was not moving they could only send three at a time sometimes four monsters. But finally after what seemed days the elevator dinged to reveal nothing inside, I could feel Piper was safe as I broke the ice holding my hand in place.
My body was covered in cuts as my platinum blood flowed out of them, my power was almost gone. I felt as week as a normal demigod without powers, but my strength still held on greatly as every blow I delivered. Be it armor or a weapon it tore through it like it was nothing, with my little monster horde I finally started to attack back as I controlled my summons.
I had to protect the elevator until it disappeared, from being in one place so long it was dissolving slowly. I ripped through ten monsters at once again and again, decimating their line of forces. But I still held my ground as the elevator disappeared from view.
"Artemis is going to be so pissed when I get back and I look like this." I said to myself as I sliced a Cyclopes in half, my mind focused on the battle after that not letting the army have a step closer as my horde of monsters grew and grew to about two hundred.
My body waned as the sheer exhaustion was taking over, my limbs shook to hold Soul Reaper steady. My blood was all over me as I went to one knee; I had been fighting for thirty minutes straight at full power. Even a Olympian god with their powers would be long dead if they were in my position.
But I continued to stand up and fight switching to a lighter blade of my daggers as I ripped through enemy lines. But then the elevator finally vanished but when it did the monster army roared in anger shaking the chasm.
But my job was done I walked back to where the elevator was letting the rest of my forces dwindle into nothing as I slouched against the smooth rock were the elevator was. I was done I had no more strength I had been fighting for an hour strength as none of my wound healed. I let out a soft laugh as I sit watching the rest of my forces are destroyed.
"I hope the rest are okay." I muttered to myself as I looked up at the ceiling as if hoping for some sunlight to stream through.
Without my primordial powers I realized I wasn't much different from any other normal immortal, I was strong but that just drained me more.
"Well today is good as any other day to be killed and reformed huh." I said using what little strength I had to stand up, I held my blades ready to kill. Finally the last monster fell as the hoard walked to me, they looked pissed to.
"Kill him." Said a Cyclopes, then the monster hoard ran full force to where I stand.
LINEBREAK:
PIPER POV:
I had the weirdest dream but it felt like real like it really happened, I remember someone carrying me for a long time. I remember at first it was hard to breathe but then it got better really fast, but during this I felt something placed on my lips as I was forced to eat and drink something that tasted a whole lot like my dad's black bean soup.
But as I was carried the person or thing I was on was always warm no matter what, but then it gets all fuzzy and it skips for a while. But then it picks up at me lying in some bright box thing, and then someone kissed my lips. But it wasn't forceful it was gentle and caring one that said I was going to be okay the rest of my life.
I remember some words that the person said but they didn't make sense like he was talking to himself or other people. But then I couldn't remember anything else for a long time it went black as I drifted in my dream as I was curled up in a ball waiting for something to happen. But finally what seemed forever I woke up but where I woke up was some place completely different that I fell asleep when I was falling.
I woke up as I felt rain on my face; it was cool and felt great on my hot skin. I looked around to find what seemed to be a massacre around me, monster blood and guts were thrown everywhere even the walls weren't spared as I stood up slowly. But a hand held me down as I saw Jason with a smile looking down at me, he had been nice to me the past couple weeks but I didn't have feeling for him like he did me.
"Hey Pipes you okay?" He asked as lay on the ground and look around to find six other people around me, there were Annabeth, Nick, Leo, Frank, Hazel, and Nico.
"Yeah I am fine what happened here?" I asked as I sat up as he steadied me, each person looked at me like I was crazy.
"Piper you don't remember?" Jason asked a I shook my head saying I hadn't remembered.
"Piper... you fell in Tartarus do you remember that, and how did you get out of there alive?" Jason asked as I looked around seeing nothing but something that resembled a slaughter house.
"Yeah I did fall into Tartarus but I don't have any memories of it, wait were is Percy he was with me when I fell down there." I said as Jason gave me a confused look.
"Piper you must be in shock because you're the only one that was in the elevator, but what when you got out of this well this happened." He said gesturing to the gore around him.
"No when I fell Percy was right there with me, he must have carried me on his back to the elevator. He kept me unconscious to protect me for the sights of Tartarus, I remember it like it was clear as day." I said standing up almost yelling at him.
"Piper it is okay but Percy should be on the other side of the world right now, there was not possible way he was with us." Jason said as I tried to find some way to explain, then I turned around and found my explanation.
Standing there was Percy's armor (it is A) it stood seven and a half feet tall, with a metallic shiny metal look to it, it had platinum trimming around the edges of each shingle of overlapping metal. Its tail was the same as it moved back and forth but it seemed to be missing the end of it. Its front was open and so were part of its legs and arms as saying a person had been ejected from here.
The Helmet looked like a demon skull/dragon one with four sets of horns but the horns were completely black now and looked menacing. All of the metal looked brand new and polished as I looked over it, the eyes on the helmet were black and deep sockets. And finally the arms were the same as the rest of the armor shiny black with platinum edging on it.
"What is that?" I asked out loud, as everyone eyed me.
"It came with you piper when the elevator opened up revealing you, it suddenly transformed around you and formed this. This is the thing that decimated all of these monsters and a titan in a matter of minutes." Jason said as I looked at it, but then it chest closed up and on the front was a ¥ that showed a mirror to what looked like two stars.
"I am sorry for my rudeness I am Alpha, Percy Jackson's personal armor." He said suddenly making everyone jump as he bowed to them, even when bowing on one knee he was almost taller than me. But as I looked down I noticed his feet looked a lot like dragon claws, the toes on it kept the flats of the feet off the ground.
"Hello." I said unthinking as Hazel grabbed me and pulled me back as the armor stood up, Jason pulled out his blade and pointed it at the armor.
"Why hello Piper it is nice to actually speak to you for once." It said I looked at me with a new golden glow in it eyes.
"How do you know her name and who are you again and why are you here?" Jason almost yelled as the armor stay standing towering over us all.
"My apologies I should have clarified myself, I am Alpha Chaos's first creation. I was given the task of my master Percy Jackson to keep Piper Mclean safe no matter what, he remains down in Tartarus were he guards the elevator until it dissolves this very moment. I remember that my master also put Piper to sleep while she was down there, to protect her from the scenes of Tartarus." He said as everyone stood gaping as I almost fainted Annabeth caught me as I steadied myself.
"Wait Percy is down I Tartarus right now, we have to save him. Gods can use their powers down there." I said just as the elevator dissolved into nothing, as I ran forward only a step.
We all just stood watching as the dust disappeared, not even Alpha said anything as it flowed into the distance.
"How is Percy going to get out now?" I asked as Alpha turned and faced towards me as a wicked smile crept on the helmet of the armor.
"Oh my master won't die just yet I can feel it, he is not meant to die just yet." He said as we all got a confused look on our faces.
Just then a rumble could be felt throughout the building as it started to crumble, everyone bolted as it the ceiling and wall started to fall. As we ran for the exit Alpha suddenly picked me up, with a quick eep we were ahead of everyone else as he burst through the door and setting me on the ground.
"Stay here please, Percy would get mad if you died from something as simple as a falling building." He said as the he ran back in and started to pick up Frank and Hazel who were in dead last as he rushed them through the door as everyone else escaped the house at the same time.
He set down Frank and gave him Hazel as he held her bridal style as she blushed as Alpha joined me as everyone else caught their breath.
"So what now?" Leo asked as he stared at Hazel struggling in Frank's grip, as he set her down blushing hard red.
"We have to get the statue back before the Romans attack the Greeks, but the rest of us have to go to Athens. But who will take the statue back to America?" Jason asked as I just now noticed Reyna was with us she must have been outside waiting or something.
"I will." Nico said as we all looked at the boy wonder who just volunteered, Reyna then came up to Nico and patted his shoulder.
"I will to, he can shadow travel us across the ocean." She said as he nodded to them, well I had to give it to him it was brave.
"Okay so Nico will take the statue back and the rest of us will go to Athens. But another thing problem shows up. What about this guy?" Jason asks as he pointed to Alpha who was sharpening his claws on his fingers.
"He will come with us, he has orders to protect me so I guess he will follow us." I said covering for Alpha who gave me a wicked smile.
"The young lady is right I cannot disobey my orders from Percy but that leaves me wondering, how will my master escape?" He said stroking him imaginary beard as all of us signed at him not so funny humor.
"You said he would be fine, so I will believe you. For now you help Leo out with the ship, also help guard it okay." I said to Alpha as ne nodded and picked up the little son of Hephaestus.
"Sweet." Leo said as Alpha jumped an impressive height onto the ship, Jason grumbled about something as he flew up and I took a ladder. Frank turned into a massive eagle and picked up Hazel and flew them both up. Annabeth took it slow behind me with Nick below her just in case she fell.
As we got on bored I couldn't help but think about Percy and if he would be okay, just then the ship lurched as we started moving. The statue was already on the ground as Nico strapped himself to it and Reyna just sat on it waiting for him to shadow travel.
"You think they will be okay?" Asked Jason as he came up behind me.
"Yeah they will be fine Reyna will keep Nico safe for sure, I am more worried about Nico's girlfriend back at home if she sees him with another woman." I joked as Jason gave me a weird look.
"Nico has a girlfriend?" He asked me as I smiled at him.
"Yeah and it is your sister to." I said as his face went blank as Nico shadow traveled away.
"You don't mean Thalia right?" He asked me.
"Oh yeah it is her, the hunters have a new oath thing apparently if they find their true love they can be together now." I said to him, as he got a wicked smile on his face almost saying I still have a chance.
"But isn't she too old for him?" He asked as I almost laughed.
"He you have to remember Nico was born in the 1930's so technically Thalia is dating a older man." I said as he thought about it.
"Okay just give me a while to think about it." He said as he walked away mumbling something.
I just turned back my attention to the edge of the ship as we sailed over the land.
"Oh Percy please stay safe."
