After what seemed like an eternity, we finally arrived at the school. Mission Commander allowed us all to get some rest and food in our system before joining him tomorrow in front of the entire council. I found my way to Hazel and I's dorm and she greeted me at the doorway.

"What. The. Hell?!" She demands pulling me into a tight embrace.

"What?" I ask smiling weakly.

"Another demon? Samantha you're insane. What did he want? Did you learn anything-" she stopped and closed the door before continuing, "about you being the prophecy?"

"Yeah, I learned some important information about the King of Hell. For example he's trying to use me because apparently I'm a super deadly weapon. Oh, and he's Cade's biological father." I say shrugging my shoulders.

"What? Are you joking? I've never liked him, especially after he did that thing to you to link your pain." Hazel snapped angrily.

Suddenly there was a loud BOOM. Hazel dashed for her sword and we went to open the door. Ash suddenly appeared in the room and he said the most chilling words I've ever heard.

"Someone's broken through the barrier."

I took off sprinting towards the sound of screams and crying. Hazel and Ash were right at my heals. I swung my bow off of my body and into my hands. They were itching to launch an arrow. I suddenly realized I only had three arrows left. Crap. I got to the scene quickly and saw two figures, holding machine guns. For some reason they haven't fired yet. I got as many people out of there as I could. The one place they decided to break through happened to be where the beginners train. Coincidentally, today they were learning about the functioning of the wall, and the entire freshman class was near the gate. The explosion left twelve dead including two teachers and ten students. Anger flowed through my pumping veins. Something in my gut told me this was my fault. The fact that these people had guns meant they were about to inflict more casualties.

"We need to move quickly and safely to get as many people out as fast as people." I tell those of Top Class who arrived here first.

We dispersed and went over procedure. Get those closest from the threat out first, along with those who are the most badly hurt. I ordered freshman to report to the cafeteria and stay put until help came. Bring anyone who could walk. I found myself wondering where Cade had escaped to. Why wasn't he here to help? I shook off the thought and continued moving. I carried out two girls who were severely injured by the blast. While doing this, I watched the people carefully. They just sat there, basking in their infliction of pain. Once the entire premises was pretty much clear, I couldn't take the suspense.

"What do you want?" I screamed from the cover of a table.

"Bring us what we want and we will leave quietly!" One of them shouted back.

"How'd you get past our wall?!" I call to them.

"We have connections. Now, who is your leader?" They yell back.

"Put down your weapons and we can talk!" I negotiate.

The two discuss before yelling, "fine." They put down their guns and kick them towards us. I signal the rest of Top Class to stay down and hidden before standing up and approaching them. Hazel was soon at my side, along with Ash. The rest of the class was obedient though.  We walk up to them and immediately I realize they are not human. They have golden, narrow eyes. Their ears are pointed and slightly smaller than normal. Their skin was pale and cracked, with black underneath.

"Who are you?" I demand.

"Not of the importance at the moment." The man to the right said.

"What do you want?" Hazel asks slightly louder than expected.

"We're here for Cade Johnson and Samantha Baker. If you choose to hand them over, we will leave peacefully. If you don't, we will set off a bomb that we have set somewhere in the school." The first one says simply.

"They're bluffing." Ash says simply.

"Is it worth loosing more lives? Two for a hundred, it seems fair to me." The second one on the left said.

"Can you give us time to relay over this information and get back to you?" I ask.

"You have thirty minutes before we set off the bomb, you better hurry." The first one says following the second out of the huge hole in the wall and sitting down on dead trees.

Hazel, Ash and I take off running. I tell Ivy and Jake to watch the infiltrators and take the rest of Top Class to go to the cafeteria with the rest of the kids. We go straight to the principal's office. I try the doorknob but it's locked. I turn back to Hazel and Ash.

"We don't have time for this." Hazel demands kicking the door down.

"Gary. Someone's planted a bomb in the school. They demand two students, we have thirty minutes." I say but nobody was in the office.

"Who are the two students?" A voice says from behind us.

Instinctively, I pull out my arrow and aim it straight at the person's head.

"Who are you?" Hazel asks as a mysterious man struts through the doorway.

"I'm your new principal. Mr. Gary Smith had to take a leave of absence due to..recent events." He said.

I knew he was referring to the demon possession.

"What?" I nearly yell.

"Where are the forces? Top Class was forced to take action at the sight of a bomb on the school. They compromised the wall, why aren't there men here to help?" Ash asks almost angrily.

His eyes were flashing purple now. He was definitely going to become a light soldier. Those are half angel half demon children who keep their demon side dormant. They fight along side pure angels and help them with their duties.

"I sent them on a mission days away." The man said calmly setting his coffee on his desk.

"We have been compromised, sir. They are threatening the lives of a hundred students, maybe more. What can we do?" I finally snap.

"Again, who are the two kids?" He demands.

"Why?" Hazel asks suspiciously.

"Well to hand them over of course. No ONE person in this school is worth a hundred lives." The man ordered.

"Two lives, and everyone's life counts." Ash hisses at him.

At this moment I started to record on my phone.

"If we are able to save lives by handing over these two kids, then we are going to do it. It's an order. Two to a hundred seems like an obvious ratio." He raises his voice.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" I demand angrily.

I was completely ready to hand over my life for them, but the fact that he had no idea who it was and didn't pause to contemplate his decision sent shivers down my spine.

"Excuse me, young lady?" He asks eyeing my dangerously.

"If you are HALF of Gary, then you'd figure out a plan to save everyone. They gave us a whole half hour, which has now turned into twenty three minutes and ten seconds. We're wasting precious time, and even if these kids give themselves up, who's to say they won't come back and ask for more? All you're doing is encouraging them to come at us again and again. If a threat comes, you shut them down so that they no longer pose as a threat. Read the handbook." I shout at him storming out.

"I'm not going to lie, you're hot when you're angry." Cade says leaning his shoulder on the wall outside.

I shove him as hard as I could.

"Woah there, demon girl." Cade laughs.

"Where the hell have you been?" I demand angrily.

"Around. As soon as I got back, I heard word that some new guy was in town. I did my research, this guy is ruthless. He was kicked off the light squad for smuggling illegal drugs to his dying kid. They killed the kid and made him spend fifteen years in prison. Once he got out, they forced him to take the occupation of a principal." Cade sums up while we walk down the hallway quickly.

"Why haven't you killed those things yet?" He asks.

"I don't know how." I answer honestly.

"Well what are they?" He asks.

"I don't know." I answer.

"Do you know anything?" He asks.

"I know if we don't do something about this, people are going to die. I know that it's going to be my fault. And I definitely know that if we don't come up with something, I'm handing myself over." I say unlocking the weapon room for archers.

"Wait, handing yourself over?" Cade asks.

"They say they want you and Sam. They said if you hand yourselves over, they'll leave quietly." Ash tells us walking through the heavy, metal doors that open up.

I walk over to the bow shelf and take five wooden arrows, five metal, five silver, and ten made of a mixture of different materials. I slide them into my quiver, making my arrow count twenty eight before saying, "I'm not saying you have to do it, but there's no way I'm letting people die because I refuse to give up my life."

"You won't refuse, I will. I will tie you down if I have to there's no way in hell I'm letting you go." Cade snaps at me starring me down angrily.

"Try and stop me." I challenge shoving past him.

"Samantha Mackenzie Baker." Hazel snaps.

I turn around to face my three friends.

"What?" I demand.

"Let's go to the cafeteria and see what they have. Don't be so hasty, trust your teammates." Hazel orders meeting me and walking towards the cafeteria.

It took us a while to get to the cafeteria and quiet everyone down. I didn't have time to take role, or count heads. All I knew is a lot of people were here, and that could be disasterous.

"What's going on?" Someone yells.

Many kids begins talking again, but I whistle loudly. People quiet down again.

"These things are here at the school for two people. They claim they've planted a bomb somewhere in the school if we refuse to cooperate. Does anybody have any ideas?" I ask.

People begin to start talking once more and my anger gets ahold of me.

"EVERYONE SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO SAM!" Doll screams more loudly than I ever could've whistled.

I nod to her thankfully and yell, "hands. I know we aren't teachers but we don't have time to screw around."

Someone in the front raises their hand and I call on them.

"Where are the forces?" They ask.

"Thanks to our new principal, they are out of the picture at the moment." I say angrily.

"Why?" She asks.

"He sent them on a bull shit mission days away." Hazel answers from the back corner with her arms crossed.

She quiets down.

"Any actual plans?" I ask.

A hand goes up in the far back and I call on them.

"Who are the kids?"

"That would be me and Cade." I roll my eyes.

Kids begin murmuring and gasping. Suddenly, someone screams, "why don't we just hand you over?! You're just selfish!"

"Hey! Shut up!" Hazel yells.

People are starting to shift and be angry. I whistle one more time. But nobody is responding. If we don't control them then there is no hope for any of us.
