my dear readers, here is the latest chapter of unexpected love. I hope you guys do check it out. I am also excited to find out what you think and how you like this chapter. I am sure that you will love it. Make sure to stick with it until the end of the chapter where something unexpected will happen. The pictures show Kiran, Jassy's cousin and her diary. What do you think  of the new characters?

-----------------------------------

Jasmeet Kaur: You just watched me and did nothing. This cannot be someone whom I could possibly cherish or love. Your inability to save me once more made every seed of love die instantly. I really feel disgusted by your behaviour. Why did you even save me these last two days?

Jasmeet's POV:

Finally, Shawn and I completed most of the assignment after working nearly 3 hours. I was relieved, because I doubted our ability to cooperate with each other. Somehow, we even laughed together and did not fight as much as we usually did. This was strange; us laughing together. Shawn even accompagnied me to my car, which was something, which I never expected from him. He seemed differently from his usual self. He said goodbye to me in a nice manner even and I answered him nicely.

During the drive home, I thought about the day, and everything what had happened. I still smelt Enzo's cologne when he caught me in his arms, which was enticing. He resembled freshly brewed coffee with a hint of mint, two things that I absolutely loved. The moment I fell into his arms, I felt something and a resemblance to a spark. He managed the last two days to be my saviour. Why all this happened, I asked myself and found no real answer for this. I had managed to keep distance from the popular boys; actually, the complete male population in my school hated and despised me, for being so good in school and for many reasons unknown to me.

Aryan's lecture also replayed in my mind; was he right for scolding me and for reminding me to keep my distance? Alternatively, was it the right thing for once to explore what could be between us? What was that even between us? Fate decided to give us a push and created these two moments. It could be also just a coincidence and nothing more to interpret, I reminded myself. As soon as I arrived home, I saw that my sister's car was in the driveway. I checked my watch and reliazed that it was nearly 17 oclock already so it was clear that she reached home already. It was clear to me that I did not want to talk to her, so I tried to climb up the stairs to my room very quietly. However, the luck was not on my side and my sister called out to me: "Jassy, where do you think you are going? See who has arrived!"

I groaned and walked into the living room. I immediately spotted next to Samarpreet her best friend and our cousin Kiran. "Hi, Samara. Hi, Kiran!" I greeted them. Kiran was the daughter of my aunt and a close friend of us. She was tall and very slim. It was a truth acknowledged that she was truly a beauty. Her dark brown eyes were so deep that one could get easily lost. Her face was also flawless and the constant smile on it made many boys swoon. To the disappointment of many, she gave her heart already to a boy, and her marriage date was set next summer. Her union was a love one. Her fiancé was British-Indian and adored her very much. He was her classmate in university and during one of their projects; they both fell in love with each other. Kiran's parents were very open-minded and accepted their love immediately, which resulted in their impending marriage.

Both of them gave me a smile and my sister wanted to know: "Why did you try to escape to your room? Do you want to be alone?" I sighed and responded to her:

"Yes so much has happened today. I just wanted to write into my diary!" My sister shot me a look of disbelief and I nodded. My response sparked an interest in her and she asked me: "What happened today? Something with Enzo Morales again?"
The mentioning of the name caused Kiran's face to be confused. She questioned us: "Who is this boy? Doesn't he go to your school. This name sounds somehow familiar!"

My sister explained: "Well you know Kiran. Enzo's her bully's best friend. He just saved her once, yesterday. He stood up for her and Aryan!" This made Kiran's eyes nearly popped out, she inquired:
"Really, he did that? This is surprising. You told me that he usually just watched the whole bullying!" Samara and I nodded and I started to tell the things today: "Yeah, you know Nathalie pushed me today and who came to my rescue. Enzo again. I even fell into his arms...!"

Kiran exclaimed again preventing me from telling my whole story: "Oh wow, so you have a knight in shining armour or should I say; in casual attire?" We all began to laugh at her statement. My uneasiness was gone and I replied her:"Well I am not sure about this. He is his best friend. In addition, I already told him to back off and not to try to contact me!"
My sister instantly showed approval for my statement, however Kiran scolded me: "Jasmeet, really? You think that when a boy helps you should ignore him? Maybe this is him, the boy you dreamt about?" Her response made me laugh in disbelief and fired back:"Oh yeah, and I am the queen of china! You cannot believe that we could be something? This will never happen, I am positive of this!" She started to speak something but I already stormed the stairs up to my bedroom and made to sure to lock it. I pulled out of my closet my diary and started to write:

Hello, diary.
I know it has been long. However, I just have to write everything down. So much happened in the last days. Shawn and I are team partner for a history project. I cannot believe it, although we did get on okay today. We managed to almost complete our project. This is something unexpected. Moreover, something else happened. Shawn's best friend Enzo stood up for Aryan and me and caught me into his arms. The moment his arms touched me, I felt a spark. His smell still lingers in my nose; fresh peppermint and a hint of freshly brewed coffee. I do not know what I should do. In a way, I feel that there could be something but also that it is unlikely for him to fall for him or for me to fall for him. He is after all the best friend of my enemy. I cannot like him!
Love,
Jassy

I closed the book, stored it away in my closet and laid down on my bed. I was confused and did not know what would happen now.

Aryan's POV continued:

The next day started normally and I was actually excited for school. I still remembered Amrita's words and planned to fulfil my promise. As usual, Jassy picked me up, she and I talked last night very long and I found out that, the project was going smooth and that it seemed like they would be successful. It surprised me that no other fight occurred between these two. Maybe Jasmeet took my advice more serous than expected. We engaged like always in small talk and reached soon the school. At the sight of the building, we both groaned; a thing, which made us, laugh. "Well look at this. Who would have thought that you also groan? Aryan, are you sick?" my best friend told me jokingly. I nodded and answered her: "Oh, yes. I hate school. You know that right?" Jasmeet moved her head in agreement and then we walked towards the school. While we were moving towards the institution, no one bothered us. This was something new; we looked at each other and just shrugged it off.

The periods until lunch passed away without any incident, however; the luck was again not on our side. When we proceeded to go to our next class, history; Nathalie came to us and began to mock us. She said nasty comments like that we should crawl back to the whole where we came from and even poured coffee over Jasmeet, snickering: "Well, now you are really dark brown. This really suits your colour! Now you look for once almost beautiful!" Jasmeet was instantly completely wet and soaked in the brown drink. To my horror, Jasmeet froze again and no one came to our rescue. Even Enzo who watched the whole scene seemed not to care enough to defend her again. I saw him standing near the whole scenario.

Shawn stood next to him and I could not tell that he held him back and threatened him to end their friendship. Moreover I had no clue that Nathalie also wanted to destroy him and his reputation. Being unaware of all this, I decided instantly that I would not no longer try to get to know him better. He was definitely not the boy for my best friend. Jassy's eyes began to water and I instantly felt sorry for her. I hated to see her cry and sad.  I wanted to retort something; however, my tongue did not move and hindered me from saying something. Jassy then started to run out of the school.
"Well, aren't you going to chase after your best friend? It seems like you are not really her best friend!" Nathalie sneered and her minions began to laugh. The rest of our peers, which assembled around us, also started to giggle. Without saying anything else, I chased after Jasmeet and found her at her car. She instantly threw her arms around me and cried.I tried my best to soothe her and calm her down. Something like this never happened before.

Shawn's POV

"Well done, Enzo. This is the way you are supposed to act. Not playing hero. I am really happy about his. Let us head to class and stop worrying about her. She is really just a dumb girl!" I told him. Enzo looked at me and suddenly I could detect anger in his facial expression. "Now you are really happy. Well guess what I am not happy. I hate that you are the person, you promised me never to be. It seems like a promise does not mean much to you!" he told me and turned on his heels starting to run towards the exit of the school.

------------------------------

well what do you think now? Are you mad at Enzo? Or mad at Nathalie and Shawn? Let me know in your comments. I am really excited to find out what you guys think about my story. I am really mad at Shawn and Nathalie. But I also think that Enzo should have had some courage to go up against his best friend. Or what do you think?

Love Sarah He.
