'I swear we have Potions.' Harry sighed.
'No, we have Charms next you silly.' Hermione smiled.
You sighed.
'We have DADA. You're both wrong.'
Ron laughed.
'We have DADA. I know the schedule.' Ron smiled.
You walked towards the classes and walked in, finding your classmates. Hermione walked straight on, not entering the classroom. Draco and his idiots were standing against the wall. He shot you a look while reposting the arm buckbeak attacked. You ignored him and stood with the rest. They were all staring at a closet. It was moving.
'Intriguing, isn't it?' Lupin said while walking in. 'That's for you to guess what's inside.'
'That's a boggart.' You spoke.
Harry and Ron looked at you.
'Very good miss Y/L.' Lupin spoke.
The closet moved a bit and everyone stepped back.
'Now, can anyone tell me what a Boggart looks like?' Lupin asked.
'No one knows.'
You looked up and saw Hermione.
'What when did she get here?' Ron asked.
Hermione sighed and ignored him.
'They are called shapeshifters. They take the shape of whatever a particular person fears the most. That's what makes the so-'
'So terrifying, yes.' Lupin interrupted.
You looked at Hermione and then back at Ron.
'Did you see her enter?' Ron asked.
You shook your head.
'Luckily, a very simple charm exists to repel a Boggart. Let's practice it now. Without wands, please... After me... riddikulus.' He spoke.
'Riddikulus.' Everyone except Draco and his friends repeated.
'Very good. Little louder.'
The Boggart made the closet move a bit and the students stepped back a bit.
'Very clearly, listen... riddikulus.'
You repeated it.
'This class is ridiculous.' You heard Draco say.
A small grin formed on mouth. Draco shot you a look and you just pretended as if nothing happened.
'Very good... well, so much for the easy part. See the incantation alone is not enough. What really finishes a Boggart is laughter. You need to force it to sue the shape you find truly amusing. Let me explain.. erm... Neville, could you join me please.'
You looked at Neville and he looked at you. You passed him a small smile and nodded.
'Come on, don't be shy, come on.' Lupin said impatiently.
He stepped forward and looked at Lupin.
'You can do it, Neville.' You smiled.
'What frightens you the most?' He asked.
He mumbled something that no one could hear.
'Sorry?' Lupin asked.
'Professor Snape.' He stated.
Neville told you before that he thought Snape was scary. He never explained why.
'And I believe you live with your grandmother?' Lupin asked.
'Y-Yes, but I don't want that Boggart to turn into her either.'
Draco and his friends laughed. Lupin sighed irritated while looking at you and Draco who immediately stopped.
'It won't, I want you to picture her clothes, only her clothes, very clearly in your mind.'
Neville was quiet for a moment. He was thinking.
'She carries a red handbag-'
'We don't need to hear, as long as you see it, we'll see it. When I open that wardrobe, here is what I want you to do..'
He walked towards Neville and whispered something in his ear. A small smile appeared on Neville's face.
'Can you do that?' He asked.
Neville nodded nervously while Lupin walked towards the closet.
'Wand at the ready.. 1...2...3.'
The wardrobe opened and the Boggart walked out. He really looked like him! Neville stared at it.
'Think Neville... think.' Lupin spoke.
'Riddikulus!' Neville screamed and Snape suddenly wore Neville grandmothers clothes. Everyone started laughing.
'Wonderful, Neville, wonderful!' Lupin laughed. 'Okay, to the back Neville, everyone form a line.'
Everyone made a line. You joined in and music started playing. You smiled and grabbed your wand. It changed again, into a snake this time. Then Ron was up. His Boggart changed into a huge spider! He lot out a small squeak.
'Come on, Ron!' You smiled.
'Riddikulus!'
Ron changed his spider in one who wore skates. You laughed and Ron walked away. You stepped forwards and you looked at the spider.
You looked at it and saw it change. You saw it change into the minister of MACUSA. He pointed his wand at you and spoke the words: obliviate. Then he changed into your little sister, Evi. She stared at you. She started talking to you, asking you who you were... she forgot you existed.
'Think, Y/N.'
Everyone looked at you. You sighed and looked at it.
'Riddikulus.' You spoke.
She changed into a clown and a small laugh escaped. Then you walked back. Ron looked at you.
'Who was that?' Ron asked.
'My little sister... Evi.' You told him.
'And who was that man?' Neville asked.
'The boss of MACUSA... it's what the ministry is here.'
'Are you afraid she'll forget you? That she get obliviated?' Neville asked.
'I used magic in front of her... she's a Muggle. I know she has the right to know about magic... but I'm the most scared of that.'
Then Harry was up. You looked at the scene and his Boggart changed into a dementor! Harry stared at it Lupin jumped in front of him and it changed into a full moon.
'Riddikulus.' He spoke.
It changed into a balloon that deflated. He opened the closet and locked it as soon as the Boggart was in.
'Alright... sorry about that. That's enough for today. You can all collect your books... at the end of the class and I'll see you next lesson.'
You walked towards Harry and placed your hand on Harry's shoulder. He looked up and passed you a smile.
'Are you alright?' You asked.
'Yeah, let's go.' He smiled.
You grabbed your bags at the back of the class. Then you walked out of the classroom.
'So... why did you use magic in front of your sister?' Ron asked while he started to walk beside you.
'Well... you must know that the rules considering no-majes or muggles are a lot stricter in America. Even though I'm a Muggle-born and my family knows I'm a wizard, magic in front of muggles isn't appreciated. She broke something and I used oculus reparo when my parents weren't around. But as soon as she saw me use a spell, she wanted to see more... I couldn't say no and before I know it, I showed her almost every spell I knew.' You told them.
'Seriously? How did they find out?' Hermione asked.
You sighed.
'I didn't do it once... I did it multiple times... and someone of the MACUSA saw me.'
'Really? That's sucks... do you miss Ilvermorny?' Harry asked.
'A little... I had my friends there. But I also have new great friends here.' You smiled.
'You're a great friend too Y/N.' Hermione smiled.
You blushed and walked through the corridor to your next class.

It was a few weeks before Christmas and you sat in the great hall with Neville and Ron.
'So, are you guys going to Hogsmeade next week?' You asked.
'Of course!' Neville smiled.
'I'm going! I need some more sweets.' Ron smiled.
You grinned.
'We should all go together.' Neville smiled.
Hermione and Harry approached your table.
'Hello guys.' You smiled while shoving a bit closer to Neville. Harry sat down beside you.
'What are we talking about?' Harry asked.
'The trip to Hogsmeade. You guys are joining, right?' You asked.
'Of course I am.' Hermione smiled.
Everyone looked at Harry.
'Well... my uncle hasn't sighed my paper.' He sighed. 'But I'll try to fix something. Don't worry.'
'I hope you do, Harry. It would be a shame if you wouldn't join.' You smiled.
It was quiet for a moment.
'So who's staying here this Christmas?' Ron asked.
'I'm not... my grandmother planned something. She loves Christmas.' Neville smiled.
'I'm staying, my parents are going away for a while. A holiday they told me.' Hermione answered.
'I'm staying too... my parents go to visit my family in America. I wouldn't be back in time.'
'That's a shame. But it's fun you're staying with us.'
You smiled at him before grabbing your care for magical creatures' book. Neville immediately shoved over a bit. You grinned and stroked the spine.
'I've been visiting Buckbeak lately.' You smiled. 'Such a beautiful animal. He recognizes me... and Neville too.'
You opened your book and read through it to prepare yourself for the next lesson.
