After storming out of the ice cream parlor, Jungkook had followed you all the way to your house from the shop. At first you refused to let him in but eventually gave in to his persistence. The both of you were sitting on the couch in your living room, while he was trying his best to calm you down and help take your mind off of what just happened.
"Jiyeong, don't let hyung upset you," he said.
"Jungkook, yes I'm angry and disgusted by him the most, but you and the rest of the guys aren't so innocent either."
"Wh-what do you mean?" he stuttered, t knew very well as to what you were referring to.
"Jungkook, Minji told me about you and the other sunbaes; that you guys do this a lot. I couldn't believe her words because I know that you, who I've known for so long, would never do something like that. But now I know why you guys didn't invite those girls out again the next day. Once you're finished playing with a toy, what's the use of playing with it again, right?"
"Jiyeong..."
"Why did you become like this, Jungkook? Do you guys really have fun playing with girls like that? Leading them on just so you can sleep with them, then break their hearts the very next day? That's horrible. I'm disappointed in you."
Jungkook just stood over you in silence, biting his lip until he finally spoke up. "I'm sorry, Jiyeong," he apologized. "I knew you never liked that kind of thing, and because of that, I didn't want you to find out about what kind of person I turned into. But now, I plan on stopping for good."
You sighed, "Jungkook, please don't tell me that on my behalf, especially if it's a lie."
"I'm serious," Jungkook's dark orbs stared deep into your own, "I was planning on leaving this kind of lifestyle behind anyways. If I ever talk to a girl that I like, I promise that it'll only be to get into her heart, and not her pants," he smiled. "I'll be good to her, and her only. I'll show her that she's the only one I'm seeing."
You softened up with a smile easing up on your lips. "Promise?" you held out your pinky.
Jungkook nodded and smiled. "Scouts honor." He held up his pinky and locked it with yours. After your pinky's locked, Jungkook pulled you into a hug. "I'm really sorry, Jiyeong."
"I knew you were a good person, Jungkook. Any girl would be lucky enough to become your girlfriend. Really."
"Thanks..." He then looked up towards the ceiling. 'Please, don't let her hear nor feel this crazy heartbeat of mine.'
You hadn't seen the boys for the next 3 days after that. During that time, you had taken the chance to hang out with your girlfriends: Minji and Sumin. Honestly, it had been a while since you last hung out with the both of them as a trio, even though you did hang out with Sumin the other day. You had only gotten to see Minji in the hallways and in some of your classes because she had just gotten a job and had to work.
The three of you were hanging in the cafeteria of your school and just chatting like usual; only this time, you were kind of in a ranting mood.
"He completely embarrassed her!" you shouted out, ending it with a huff and then a puff of your cheeks.
"So, you finally see where I'm coming from now when I say that guy is no good." Minji, who sat across from you, shook her head. "Trust me, he's not the type of guy to stick to a relationship."
You sighed, "yeah. I can't believe I had a crush on him."
"I still can't believe it either."
"Shut up," you chuckled, and gave her a playful shove.
"So, you don't like Taehyung oppa anymore?" Sumin, who sat right beside you, asked.
"Huh?" You both turned to her in that moment. "Oh, no," you shook your head. "I don't want anything to do with him from now on."
That was fantastic to hear on Sumin's part. Even though it was a friendly rivalry, it was great that she didn't have the competition for Taehyung's heart anymore.
"Sumin, are you really so worried about this guy?" Minji asked. "I mean, I know you may like him and all, but for goodness sake, he embarrassed some girl inside of a public place. Out loud. Are you saying that if that was you, that you'd still like him?"
"I understand what you're saying, but I'd never stalk Taehynug oppa. Besides, it wasn't even his fault. If you really think about it, he was actually the victim in the situation."
'If Taehyung hadn't slept with her in the first place, he wouldn't have put himself in that situation.' Minji just rolled her eyes and looked off. She couldn't help but think how completely blind in love Sumin was.
"Anyways, today is my day off from work, so how about we all go out and do something together after classes are finished," she suggested. "Just the three of us."
"That's a good idea, but something like what?" Sumin asked.
"I don't know." Minji, along with you and Sumin, began to ponder on what to do for today. Just when you were in the middle of thinking--
"Jiyeong!"
You heard your name being shouted from across the canteen. You looked over towards the voice and saw Jungkook and the rest of the boys walking inside. Despite the hundreds of girls that stared, squealed from afar, they were walking straight over towards your table.
"Oh, hey, Jungkook, you guys." You waved at them as the strolled up to your table. "I haven't seen you guys in a while. What've you all been up to lately?"
"Well, we were busy with classes and stuff, just like you," Jin said with a smile.
"Oh yeah," you awkwardly chuckled. Just then, your eyes wondered over and caught wind of Taehyung. He was just standing there, looking at you, but without any signs of greeting. He looked pissed. It was expected though since you did shove a cone down his shirt, but it wasn't like you did it without cause. You made sure to roll your eyes before paying your attention back to the rest.
"Taehyung oppa~" Sumin leaned over into view and waved at him. "Hi~"
Taehyung felt annoyed by hearing Sumin call for him and finally looked away.
"What're you guys doing here?" you asked.
"We're making plans to leave, and we thought you'd like to come with," Jimin said.
"Depends on where you guys are going."
"To Jungkookie's house," Hoseok answered. "We're going to watch a movie there."
"Jungkook's house?" 'I've only been there about once or twice since I transferred here.' "Sure, I'll come!" But then you suddenly remembered, "Oh wait, I can't after all. The girls and I were all going to go and hang out ourselves after our classes were finished."
"Your friends can come too if they want," Namjoon said.
Yoongi and the rest of the gang just looked up at him as if he was nothing but insane. They didn't seem to mind Minji, but if you're inviting friends, that meant that Sumin was included. To be quite frank, they still weren't okay with her.
"It's been a while since I got to see a movie with other people," Minji said. "This should be entertaining," she then muttered under her breath.
"I'd love to come over to Jungkookie's house!" Sumin exclaimed.
Yoongi scoffed, "she thinks she's close enough to use nicknames?" Hoseok, who heard him, started giggling.
"It's settled then," Namjoon started again. "While you're in class, we'll buy some snacks and hang out until you're done. Then we'll all meet up in front of the library and head out to Jungkook's house. Cool?"
"Cool," you gave them a thumbs up.
Just when they were about to leave, Taehyung walked up to the front where Jungkook and Namjoon was. "Yah, little girl." He stood right in front of you. His hands inside his pockets, and his head filled with air like the cocky bastard he was.
'What the hell could he possibly want?' you thought, while looking him up and down to try and figure out his next move.
"I've decided to forgive you for the other day."
You cocked a brow. "'Forgive me'?" You had to make sure you were hearing right.
"That's right," he stood before you with a bold smirk on his face. "If you apologize to your sunbae for what you did, and call me 'oppa' in your apology, I'll forget all about the 'cone' incident. You're not that dumb, so I trust you'll make the right decision."
You squinted your eyes, looking at him as if he had completely lost his mind. You could feel your annoyance level spike high from his words. All you could wonder to yourself was if he was actually serious or not.
Everyone else, on the other hand, couldn't help but wonder if Taehyung had always been this damn dense and retarded.
"Come on, it's not something hard to say," he kept on. "Girls call me their oppa all the time." The more he kept running his mouth, the more disgusted you felt and had the urge to knock him down to the ground.
"Taehyung-ah, you should stop talking," Yoongi warned him. He could see that you were slowly turning red with anger.
"What? Cat got your tongue all of sudden?"
"Like, right now," Namjoon tried to stop him as well.
"You had all this mouth to run, but now you won't speak?"
If he wanted to act like an arrogant ass, then why give him the time of day so that he could keep on? You simply took in a deep breath and exhaled to calm yourself. You then crossed your leg over the next and turned away from him to face Minji instead.
"Minji, I almost forgot to ask you, but how is your job so far?"
"Oh--Uh...It's going good."
'Did this little shit just ignore me?' Taehyung scoffed. 'She's really starting to get on my last one.'
"Yah!" he slammed his hands down on the table, earning a few stares from those around your area. "I know you hear me. I, Kim Taehyung, am giving you a chance to make up for your actions. Are you really not going to take this chance?"
"Just you wait, when you least expect it, I'm going to pop up and surprise you at work, okay? Wait on it."
"Oh, okay," Minji nodded. "I can't wait..." She was beginning to feel awkward about the situation.
'She's really ignoring me, right now? Me? Of all people? Who does she think she is?'
"I've had more than enough of your disrespect, you--" Just when Taehyung reached out to grab your arm, he felt someone tugging him back on his.
"Alright, that's enough Taehyung. We should get going already." It was the midget who was holding him back. Before he knew it Taehyung was being dragged away from your table. "Jiyeong, we'll see you and your friends later, okay?" Jimin said.
'Are they not going to address me?' Sumin thought.
"Catch you later, Jiyeongie~" Hoseok, along with the rest of them waved to you.
"See you guys later," you happily waved back.
"Aish, that little girl really pisses me off!" he shouted. "How can she ignore my chance for forgiveness! Who does she think she is? And then she has the fucking never to keep being rude!"
"She ignored you because you were being a jackass," Jimin explained.
"How the hell was I being a jackass?" he barked at him.
"Let's start with the part where you said you were going to forgive her."
"--Telling her to apologize," Yoongi added on.
"--Calling her dumb," Namjoon joined in.
"--And you even told her to call you oppa on top of it," Jin chimed in last.
"What's wrong with what I said?" he asked, still peeved.
Yoongi shook his head. "I knew you were kind of dumb, but not this dumb."
"Hyung," Jungkook started, "Jiyeong might have shoved the cone down your back, but she's not the one who should be apologizing here."
Hoseok shook his head and sighed. "I told you that you should have apologized soon before it was too late."
"You can't be serious right now. Like I said before, I'm not apologizing to her."
"Tae, Jungkook told us that what you said really offended Jiyeong, a lot." Namjoon started to explain.
He crossed his arms and scoffed. "The comments weren't even directed towards her."
"We know that. But try to understand where she's coming from. You're the only one who doesn't see it, even though you were the one who offended her twice."
"So you guys are really on her side?" He rolled his eyes. "Whatever. I'll be at the convenience store." Taehyung then just walked off, leaving the rest behind.
