The three of them stood before the entrance to the forbidden forest, mounted on their brooms ready to start things off. Darkness slowly began to take over the sky as the light of the sun died out, visibility for all three flyers now decreasing. But for Cooper this wasn't an issue at all.
Reason being that he won't be flying.
It wasn't because he was scared or anything, it was more of a way in getting back at Jett. You see Cooper had assume that Jett would dash right into the forest as soon as everything went dark, so he was going to use this to his advantage by not going in and instead going off to tip one of the professors about the nighttime riding. That way Jett gets a detention and has to deal with his house hating him for the lost in points and that way Cooper gets his payback.
Now Cooper didn't exactly have anything against Gryffindors.
It was just this one that he had a vendetta for.
"Hmm a seeker, a keeper and a beater." Dreamz commented, a small smile coming onto her face as she felt a wave of competitiveness overcome her. "Should be interesting."
"What should be interesting is how well you'll handle me winning." Jett grinned, readjusting his grip as he focus on the decrease of light around them.
"Well not much would happen." Cooper said on the off hand. "You would just win... Nothing would come out of it if you did so."
"Hmm how about doing my charms homework?"
The kiwi slowly turned to his brother, his face scrunched up in confusion, "don't tell me you find charms difficult."
"I don't. I just don't want to do the homework."
"Literally same though." Dreamz butted in. "And Cooper shut up, charms is hard."
"Well perhaps if you didn't spend half your time burning the things then maybe you wouldn't be finding difficulties."
"No if Arthur didn't exist then I would be fine. I'm telling you he's jinxing me somehow."
"Dreamz he isn't even in the same year as you."
"But he's still jinxing me, I know he is."
"Someone's paranoid." Jett said, looking rather amused. "You know sometimes I think you're a bit obsess with him..."
Dreamz gave him the most deadpan look in existence before she got off her broom- hitting him on the head with it.
"Ow! You hit hard!"
"Well that's sort of my job, mate."
Cooper just shook his head at the pair of them as they sorted themselves out. It wasn't until a few moments had past that the bants died down the three of them looking ahead in determination. Jett shifted his grip slightly, green eyes lit with excitement, a grin coming onto his features.
"Ya ready?"
"No."
The two boys looked at Dreamz who just sat there for a bit, a few seconds passing, "okay right now I'm ready."
Jett faced the front once more, rolling his eyes, "alrightie. Three, two-"
"SEE YA ON THE FLIP SIDE BITCHES!" And with that Dreamz sped off, laughter trailing after her which threw back the two males. Jett shook it off though, frowning in annoyance as he then sped off after- rather keen in not having a Ravenclaw beating him in anyway possible. Cooper was just left there, staring after them as he slipped off his broom. He glanced back at the sky seeing that it was a full moon before looking over at the castle trying to figure out the perfect time to head back. He figured he would give them a few minutes at most, just in case.
Meanwhile Dreamz flew close to the ground, her body flattening itself against her broom as the wind tossed her hair around. Laughter continued to escape from her as she sped up, making various of sharp turns so that she wouldn't crash into any trees. She glanced over her shoulder, trying to see if she could spot Jett in the incredibly dark atmosphere.
"Someone's a bit slow~!" She called out, laughing. "Thought you were a seeker Jett? Come on! You're making that Firebolt of yours look like a Cleansweep 7!"
"Don't get too cocky Ravenclaw!" Came a reply that was much closer to Dreamz then she anticipated. "I'm just doing this to boost your confidence."
"Aww how sweet." She skimmed over a stream before darting up once more causing the leaves to rustle behind her. She did all sorts of fancy tricks making the atmosphere to be playful in a way meanwhile Jett continued to fly on, slowly starting to pick up speed as he remained to be concentrated. While Dreamz remained to be used to flying in sprints- being sure to protect her team from her bludgers Jett was more used to flying fast in long distance in order to catch the snitch in time.
Now he flew beside her, grip tightening around his broom, eyes narrowed as he tried to decipher the objects that laid in his path. He glanced at his side seeing the silhouette of Dreamz just hanging off her broom upside down.
"How does that help with anything?" He asked taken aback.
"Gives a different perspective of the world." He heard her answer, the girl now flipping back up so that she can fly normally- trying to create just as much distance between her and Jett. But it would appear he wouldn't allow that to happen as he easily kept up with her. "Wait hang on a sec."
"What?"
Dreamz threw a glance behind her, frowning out of concerned, "where's Cooper?"
At the sound of that Jett too looked over his shoulder, trying to see if he could spot a flying figure. But as there was just so many things clouding his vision and due to the lack of light he wasn't able to spot anything which was obviously happening to Dreamz as well. And due to them not looking at where they were flying the pair of them managed to fly into a large branch causing them to crash down onto the ground.
"A Ravenclaw and Gryffindor walked into a bar." Dreamz said weakly, now on the ground flat on her back.
"Oww..." Jett groaned as he slowly sat himself up.
"And there's the punchline." The girl too then sat herself up, several leaves stuck to her back, sticks joining in that small cluster. Slowly she brought a hand to her hair trying to separate anything foreign from the mass, her eyes still darting around the area trying to make sense of where they were which proved to be much easier as light appeared from the tip of Jett's wand.
"We should have been looking where we were going..." Jett said slowly, now standing as he loked around. "Cause now I think we just lost our brooms."
"Okay coming from us that isn't so surprising." Dreamz said as she picked herself up, wincing in the process. "We are pretty dumb."
"Says the Ravenclaw."
"Yeah... I'm completely certain I don't belong in that house." She admitted. "Everyone is so smart and stuff and then I'm just on the other side of the common room because I can't get in."
"...Don't you guys have a password?"
"Nope."
"Alright then."
The pair of them took a few steps away from where they crash landed, squinting in attempt of trying to see their brooms. A difficult process for the light didn't reach as far and made the surroundings look ten times more darker.
"Maybe we should split up..." Dreamz said slowly, eyes scanning the lit area. "I mean the brooms shouldn't have landed that far off so it's not like we would be that far away... Also maybe we should look for Cooper too, he might have gotten lost."
"Eh I reckon we just leave him."
"Jett!"
"I'm kidding. Sort of."
Something snap behind them causing them to shift focus the two sets of eyes looking out into the darkness trying to see what had caused the sound. But when seeing nothing the both of them just shrugged
"I'll go this way." Jett offered. "Also you better not do anything to my broom if you find it."
"No promises."
"Sheila!"
She just looked at him and shrugged, "what? I can't promise anything." And with that she took her wand out, casting out Lumos to add her in the search. She turned around and separated herself from Jett, being sure not to overlook anything.
Jett walked away from her, their distance from one another slowly growing larger as they continued to look for their prized possessions. But the search appeared to be much more difficult then thought for they appeared to have literally disappeared. And Jett wasn't too happy with that at all, his expression being one of negativity as his eyes swept around the area.
A snap sounded close by, heavy breaths paired with it. Jett glanced over in that direction, his body tensing in preparation to attack whatever the thing was if it ended up being foe. He decided to take a step towards it, a low growl now being heard upon that action.
"What are you?" He wondered, now slightly curious for what had joined him here.
But as the saying goes- curiosity killed the cat.

Cooper was just about to head off back to the castle, when the sound of a loud and pained scream sounded. He stopped in his tracks, a shiver crawling down his back as he took note at how it was full of such agony that in a way it appeared to be inhuman. He looked back at the entrance of the Forbidden Forest, clutching onto his broom that he had in his grasp. He could go back to the castle to get help but he feared by the time he came back with help something much worse might have happened. And seeing as it was his brother and friend that was in there he instead did the other idea, this being flying in.
Everything felt all panicky and frantic to Cooper as he zipped through the air, his heart hammering against his chest as he heard another yell that wasn't too off from where he was. His wand was in his hand, light spilling out from the tip to see what exactly was going on in the forest floor down below. He could just make out three figures, two of which were known whilst the other remained to be a mystery.
He dove down, now able to get a better sense of what was going on and it was a sight that he thought he would never witnessed. Dreamz was there looking to be panicked and enraged at the same time as she dashed forwards with no injury marking her. Her looking to be the complete opposite of Jett, who Cooper couldn't stop looking at. The older brother was off to one side, looking to be a mess. His eyes were clouded with pain, his stance appearing to be weak as if he was going to collapse any moment. A bleeding cut stretched across his nose, his shirt torn to expose more cuts on his torso along side a bite mark on his upper arm which was letting out an excessive amount of blood.
And the cause of it was obvious enough. A werewolf stood there, back hunched, the skin or well fur looking as if it was hanging off it's bones the made up the rather humanoid looking structure. The eyes glinted in the light of the moon, teeth bared to reveal that they were covered in blood which easily matched the claws. It hunched forwards more as if readying to go in for another attack.
"Get away from him you son of a bitch!" Came the angered yell from Dreamz, the girl appearing to be ready to rip the half beast into shreds. But the beast made it's next attack, doing well in knocking Jett to the ground who was trying his best in his now weakened state to fend it off. He grew slightly hesitant though as the half-breed opened it's mouth about to get in another bite, and it might have done so if Cooper hadn't slammed his broom right in it's head. The creature then redirected his attention to the kiwi about to attack him but was then knocked backwards as the shielding spell was cast.
"What happened?!" Cooper demanded, trying his best to keep a level head in this situation.
"Jett and I lost our brooms and we went looking for them. Then this little fucker decided to pop out of fucking no where." Dreamz seethed as she joined his side, the girl looking ready to commit first degree murder with how infuriated she was now.
"You didn't think of accio?!"
"What do you think I was about to do before this thing came along?"
As the words left her mouth the werewolf quickly got back on it's feet prompting the pair of them to act quickly. Cooper was quick in casting the retrieving spell for the two brooms quickly made their appearance before them. He then went to retrieve Jett's body trying his best to help him mount the broom whilst Dreamz made sure to keep the werewolf at bay by sending in various of jinxes to hinder it.
Despite Dreamz being full of absolute anger she still managed to keep herself grounded and not do anything tactless. She looked out of the corner of her eye, seeing Cooper and Jett about to take off and with that in mind she cast one last spell before snatching up her own broom and taking off to the air.
She looked over at Jett, worried as she noted how he was trying to stay conscious, a few times telling Cooper that he can fly himself.
"You don't think... You don't think he'll end up like that, do you?" She asked softly.
"Well... He got bitten." Cooper muttered out. "It's a big possibility... Almost cert-"
"I got scratched I didn't become deaf you know." Came a weak reply.
"We'll take him to the Hospital Wing and tell the headmaster what happened." Dreamz said, ignoring Jett. "And then I'm going to hunt down the fucking werewolf and when I get my hands on him or her.. Oh... I'll make sure they regret stepping foot into Hogwarts."
Cooper said nothing at her statement, concentrating in heading back to the castle. He could sense his brother fading in and out behind him making him worry more.
When Cooper said he wanted payback this wasn't what he had in mind.
