"Please come to this party tonight. I promise you it will be fun. When's the last time time you went out? I know you miss your parents. They wouldn't want you to be sad mopping around here all depressed," says Jojo
"Alright fine but only because you're getting on my nerves. If I don't go you'll keep bugging me about it." 😩
"Yes I knew you couldn't say no to me!" Says jojo with a smirk on her face.
I love that girl to death even though she drives me crazy. Me and her have been friends since the 1st grade. She's always had my back no matter what. When my parents died she was there for me when no one else was.
"I guess I can go I deserve to have some fun."
"Yess girl that's what I've been trying to tell you for the longest. Now go find something cute to put on. You know we gotta look good whenever we go out." Says Jojo
"Oh you already know." 😏👏👏
I walk into my closet and pick out an outfit to wear for tonight. After a few minutes of debating I finally decide on a black dress. Every girl needs herself a little black dress. I quickly put it on and grab a pair of red bottoms. I put on some bright red lip stick and do my make up.
I walk out of my closet and see Jojo waiting for me.
"Let me straight iron your hair." Says Jojo
"Oh good now I don't have to do it myself."
I sit on the bed and she pulls out the straight iron. This will take awhile. I have naturally thick curly hair. Thanks to my parents. My dad is Puerto Rican and my mom is black. Some how I ended up with thick ass curly hair. (There's a picture of what Ashanti looks like on the side in external link above comments.)
After what seems like forever, Jojo finishes my hair.
"I'm done girl you look like a thang. Yass fuck it up." 😍😩👌 says Jojo
"Girl your so crazy."
I walk over to my mirror and admire my girls work. My once thick hair is now straight and almost reaches my but. It's been ages since I've straightened my hair because it always takes so long.
"Girl did the damn thing. My hair is laid my girl got skills." 😘
"You're welcome boo. You know I always got you." Says Jojo
We both stand in front of the mirror. Jojo has on a dark blue strapless dress. The dress hugs her in all right the places.
"Your ass looks perfect in that dress. My nigga got the Chubb." 😏👌
"Ju know." 💁 says Jojo
"We look like two bad bitches."
"Come on lets go and turn up." Says Jojo
She grabs my hand and leads me downstairs.
I leave a note for my aunt saying that I went out. She's busy at work and probably won't be home to late. I left the note just incase I don't want her to worry. Ever since my parents died my aunt is extra protective of me.
I walk outside following after Jojo closing the door behind me.
I jump inside my new Mercedes's.
"So where is this party again?"
"It's at this new club downtown. Trust it's about to be live AF. I told Ronnie to bring some of his friends through. We need to get you a boo thing. You've been single for way too long." Says Jojo
"You know I'm not looking for a relationship right now. These guys out here are all the same. They be playing too many games. You know my motto Trust no bitch and fear no nigga." 😌👌
"Girl when's the last time you got some?" Asks Jojo
I don't even say anything because it's been too long to count. I'm not about to tell my girl that.
I turn on the car and back out of the driveway. I don't live far from downtown so it didn't take long to get to the club.
I quickly park my car. When we finally get inside the place is packed.
"Now this is what I'm talking about. We about to have us a good ass time." Says Jojo with a grin on her face.
I can already tell she's up to no good.
We make our way over to the bar. I was just about to order a drink, when Jojo's boo Ronnie comes over to us.
"Hey I'm glad y'all could make it. Ashanti is that you I'm shocked to see you out of the house." Says Ronnie
"Shut up you acting like I never leave the house. You trying to play my life." 😒✋
"Nah chill I'm just messing with you." Says Ronnie pulling me into a hug.
"Where's your boy at?" Asks Jojo
"Who Alex?" Asks Ronnie
"Yeah I told you to bring him. I wanted him to meet my girl." Says Jojo
"He's over in the VIP section. Forget the bar lets go over to him." Says Ronnie
He puts his arms around both of us and leads us to his VIP section.
When we get there I see a bunch of groupies.
Some boy walks over with a bottle of Champagne in his hand.
"Yo what's good Ronnie," says this cute ass boy. He gives Ronnie dap and Jojo a hug.
I just stand there wondering who this fine ass dude is.
"You not gonna introduce me your beautiful lady friend?" Asks the guy
"My bad this is my girls friend Ashanti. Alex meet Ashanti, Ashanti meet Alex." Says Ronnie
"Hello gorgeous," says Alex grabbing my hand and kissing it.
I immediately start to blush. "Thank you." ☺️🙊
"You want to dance?" Asks Alex
"She would love to," says Jojo answering for me.
I give her the death glare and follow Alex onto the dance floor.
"You're welcome girl." Says Jojo
I'll get her back later for that.
The Dj starts playing "Pour It Up",and the club goes crazy.
Me and Alex start to dance and pulls me closer to me. At first I was really nervous. But then I got more comfortable.
"Your girl wasn't lying you're beautiful," says Alex looking into my eyes.
"You're not so bad yourself."
"So why don't you have a man?" Asks Alex
"I have a hard time trusting people. I've been through a lot and some guys just can't handle that."
"Damn that's too bad as good looking as you are." Says Alex
"What about you? You don't have a girlfriend?"
"Nope. The girls I've been with were no good. They cant be trusted. People just don't take relationships serious anymore." Says Alex
"I hear that."
"I'm glad I came out tonight." Says Alex
"Oh yeah and why's that?"
"I got to meet you." Says Alex
I turn my face away trying to hide the fact that I'm blushing.
"Don't turn always it's cute when you blush. You have the prettiest smile I've ever seen." Says Alex lifting my chin up so I'm facing him.
"Why you being so nice to me? What you want to get in my pants. You being all nice must mean you want something."
"What ma you tripping. It's not even like that. I just want to get to know you. I promise I'm not going to hurt you. I know you just met me, but give me a chance." Says Alex
"Why should I? They all say that then they go and break my heart." 😢
"Not all guys are the same. Please let me show you what I'm about." Says Alex
"Fine I guess I can give you a chance."
"See I knew you couldn't resist me and all of this." Says Alex
"Boy bye," I say laughing.
He's cocky but he has every right to be. Alex is wearing all black and looking good enough to eat. He's 6'4 light skin with the sexist brown eyes I've ever seen, and some soft ass looking lips. I wonder what they feel like against mine. 🌚
"Earth to Ashanti." Says Alex waving his hand in front of my face.
"Huh? Oh sorry I was spacing out. I tend to do that a lot."
"Haha you was day dreaming about me weren't you? It's okay I tend to have that affect on girls." Says Alex
"Be lucky your cute. Has anyone ever told you that you got some pretty eyebrows for a boy?"
"That was random but yes I hear that all the time." Says Alex
"Do you get them done?" 😳
"No I get them from my momma." Says Alex
"Oh just checking." 👀
"You funny. Let's go see what your girl and Ronnie are up to." Says Alex grabbing my hand and leading me to the VIP section.
When we get there I see Jojo and Ronnie kissing. They are eating each other's face off.
"Damn they getting it in." Says Alex
"Smh what they need is a room." 😑😫
"Hey I heard that don't hate." Says Jojo who stopped kissing Ronnie.
"You finally came up for air."
"Me and Ronnie are going home." Says Jojo
"Okay then I guess it's just me and you."
"You mind giving me a ride then? I rode here with Ronnie I left my car at home." Says Alex
"Yeah that's fine with me."
"Alright cool." Says Alex
I walk towards the door and Alex follows after me. We make it outside and I walk over to my car.
"Nice wheels." Says Alex
"Thanks this is my baby. Anyway do you live far from here?"
"Nah I live a few blocks down in those fancy condos." Says Alex
"The ones with a garage?"
"Yeah those." Says Alex
I unlock my car and get in. Alex gets in after me.
I turn the car and pull out of the parking lot.
"I had fun tonight," says Alex
"Me too. It's been a long time since I've gone out."
"We should chill together some time. I would really like to see you again." Says Alex
"I would like that."
A few minutes later I park in front of Alex's house.
"You want to come in?" Asks Alex
"Nah it's kind of late maybe next time."
"Let me see your phone?" Asks Alex
I hand him my phone and he gives me his. We exchange numbers and he hands me my phone back.
"Good night beautiful." Says Alex
"Good night."
"I hope to see you soon." Says Alex he opens the door and climbs out.
"Bye."
"Bye," says Alex. He closes my door and I watch as he makes his way into his condo.
I drive off making my way towards my house.
I hope I do see him again. He's different from the guys I'm used to. I have to remind myself to thank Jojo. She did good tonight.
