Chapter 35
RECAP:
“Okay PUSH!” the doctor told Ashley
“Great PUSH AGAIN!” Ashley pushed like it was nobody’s business
“AGAIN! I see hair!!” Ashley kept pushing and she kept holding my hand tighter, I thought I was going to faint
“One more…PUSH!” and with that the baby was born, the baby screamed. Josh and I were so nervous that we didn’t look at the baby until the doctor said
“AND he’s a BOY!”
Josh and I looked at the baby at the same time…
“HOLY SHIT HE’S BLACK!!”
Savannah’s P.O.V
okay so I might of over reacted but just a little bit…he wasn’t exactly black, sorta…he was just very brown…no not brown…I think tanned is the best word…with extremely dark brown hair. The baby looked nothing like josh. Josh was white…not Mexican? I’m Mexican! At this point I don’t even know what I'm saying I'm just shocked.
In all honesty I'm so scared to look at josh I honestly do NOT know what reaction to expect from him.
Ashley stopped gripping my hand and I instantly felt my blood flowing through my body again, it felt good. I took my hand away from hers, I looked at her she had beads of sweat on her forehead, make-up smeared all over, her face was pale and she looked weak, for the first time in my life time I had the guts to say that she looked terrible…I was mad but I felt very bad for her, the baby didn’t deserve this and neither did josh, she played everyone…
I took her hand in mine again, I looked at her and made eye contact “Ashley what did you do?” my voice sounded weak. I was tired and I didn’t even give birth but it was 5:30 Am and I hadn’t slept at all, neither one of us had.
Ashley looked at me her face full of pain and regret “I-I don’t know…I just…i-“ Josh came over to where I was standing, he looked so heartbroken and furious at the same time.
“I’ll tell you what she did…she fucken lied that’s what she fucken did!!” I thought he had left, otherwise I would’ve never had asked Ashley that…
I touched his shoulder, but he wouldn’t calm down. I grabbed his hands in mine, I turned him so he could face me, my hand went to his cheek trying to sooth him, it seemed to be working “Josh calm down, I'm sure she has an explanation for this…” I looked at Ashley taking my hand away from his cheek “ right? You do have an explanation? You do RIGHT?!” not only did she screw josh over but she also screwed me. She fucken lied!
Just when Ashley was about to fess up the truth a nurse came with Ashley’s baby
“Here you go miss” the nurse gave Ashley her baby, her eyes teared up instantly, she looked at me with sad eyes I couldn’t help but smile even though I was pissed off I'm a sucker for little kids especially babies, I think they are so adorable, they immediately put a smile on my face
“Would you like to hold him?” Ashley asked
“Umm I’ve actually never held a new born…what if I drop him?” uh-oh then Ashley would kill me before I got the chance to.
She gave me a goofy smile “I know you won’t, you love kids too much” I laughed
“That’s true” I held my hands out to take him while Ashley sat up, she put him in my arms and I started panicking because he started crying
“Uhh shhhh shhhh shhhh…umm?” I gave Ashley a questioning look…she did know how to shut him up right? She didn’t because she just gave a shrug
We gave each other glances the kid had been crying for about 5 minutes, thank god the nurse came and showed us how to hold him the proper way if not the baby would’ve been crying for a whole day
When the nurse finally gave him back to me, I looked into the beautiful eyes of this baby boy, he grabbed my pinky finger into his whole had and it still wouldn’t fit “Welcome to the world little one” beside me someone made a weird noise I turned and saw that josh was still standing there, just looking at me with a blank expression on his face
“Here…” I said trying to give josh the baby
“Wha- what are you doing?” josh moving back with his hands in a surrender kind of way
“C’mon just hold him” I told him inching my way up to him, Ashley just laughed at us
“If I hold him, I might get attached…” he told me in a whisper
“You won’t…I promise…just hold him, at least you’ll know what it feels like…” he nodded and this time when I tried giving him the baby he just held him, I pushed him and sat down on the chairs next to Ashley. She had tears in her eyes.
“What are you going to name him?" I asked her
“You would’ve made an amazing father and his names going to be Aiden” as much as I hate to say it she was right, when I was holding the baby he wouldn’t stop crying but when Josh held him he stopped crying and fell asleep on his arms. Maybe he was the father? No way that’s not possible…he’s not dark skinned or have brown hair, this is overwhelming.
“I think we deserve an explanation” josh said looking hard at Ashley
“Yes you do, but first of all let me say sorry, I'm very, very sorry.” We both nodded, we didn’t say anything so she continued, I have to say one thing though, just to put it out there, Josh looked very cute holding the baby “ I lied because I was jealous, I was jealous of you savannah because you had what I wanted…and I wanted Josh, but I knew there was no way in hell that he would like me, so when I found out I was pregnant I strongly believed it was Josh’s but then I remembered he wasn’t the only guy I had sex with, plus when I had sex with josh it was protected and I was on the pill and he had worn a condom, but me and…Sam had totally unprotected sex. I told him I was pregnant, he said that he didn’t care enough for me to stick around; he said he wanted you savannah. So we came up with an agreement to stop your wedding and make you, Josh believe that it was yours, I knew it was a long shot but I just had to try I loved you so much and I just couldn’t see myself without you but now I realize that I was a selfish bitch! Instead of looking out for me I should’ve been looking out for Aiden, but I didn’t…I was too much of a selfish bitch to realize it sooner and I'm very sorry”
I was trying to soak up everything she said but I couldn’t…I just couldn’t. Josh stood up gave Ashley Aiden back and went outside the door and into the hallway
Ashley started crying “It’s ok, he’ll have to get over it sooner or later, but you have to give him time”
“I know, I know and I cannot tell you how sorry and guilty I feel that I ruined your perfect wedding, I was just so irritated that I lied, I knew that he would find out sooner or later, actually he would’ve found out anyway when he was born..”
“it’s ok, maybe it was for the best that this happened, I know he’s not ready to be tied down and I don’t know if I am…I just think it’s for the better…not the lying but the way that things happened…you know what I mean?” Ashley looked at me a smile playing at the ends of her lips
“You’re so fucken stupid! GO OUTSIDE AND GET YOURE MAN BACK! I’ve seen the way you two love birds look at each other, if josh was responsible enough to accept what responsibility wasn’t his what makes you fucken think that he wouldn’t be ready to have a fucken baby with the girl he loves…sometimes you really are fucken stupid!” she laughed and I laughed and cried at the same time with her “NOW GO!!!!!!! WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING HERE!?!”
I laughed and was almost at the door when I heard Ashley yell after me ‘sometimes girls have to chase after guys not the other way around’ and this time she was very right
I had been looking for josh everywhere and I couldn’t find him. I was now going to where we had been together, before Ashley gave birth and sure enough he was there, he was sitting down on a chair with his head down and elbows on his knees, I think he was crying
I sat down and put my left hand on his right shoulder “Hey are you okay?” I asked him, he turned and looked at me and laughed, I think he’s going crazy
“That really is a stupid question savannah” he laughed at me
“What happened to ‘there are no stupid questions’ huh? Teachers have always said that there are no stupid questions, so it doesn’t change anything” I laughed out loud and josh laughed with me, finally smiling
“Hey at least you don’t have to worry about being a father at such a young age” I pointed out
“Yeah I guess that’s good, but she still lied and…she broke us up” he turned to me and grabbed my hands, I wanted to lean in and kiss him, but this wasn’t the time or place to do it
“Josh…”
“Look I know what happened and the truth is I slept with her, but that baby-“
“Aiden” I cut him off, he was talking about Aiden like he was an ‘it’ and he’s not, he’s a baby! Its not his fault that this shit is going on
“I’m sorry Aiden, he’s not mine and now we can be together…maybe…” he said looking at me, he was inching closer and I felt his breath on my cheek and I knew I couldn’t hold it any longer, I just wanted to kiss him…but I couldn’t.
“Look josh, this…doesn’t change anything.”

Wassup my peeps, so I decided to make the story a few more chapters longer because I don’t think I’ll be making a sequel because some people didn’t want it…so idk I'm still iffy about it, so just comment down at the box and tell me what you guys think, should or shouldn’t I make a sequel and why lol, it would definitely make my decision easier:)
