Jules wanted to get Ivy out of Ceaser's arms but she didn't want to wake her. Ivy looked so peaceful in his arms but Jules had come to the conclusion that she knew nothing about this man regardless of how much of a gentleman he had been, he was a stranger in her home.

I don't even know you.
Jules wanted to say but instead said "No, it's fine. I'll take her." She gently picked Ivy from Ceaser's arms.

Ceaser's jaw clenched as Jules declined his offer. No one had ever said no to him. It made him all the more furious that she was saying no to putting his daughter in bed. His daughter.

Ceaser stood in the same spot as Jules went to Ivy's room and placed Ivy in her crib trying not to stir her awake. She looked at her peaceful sleeping daughter and smiled.

How did she ever get this lucky?
She wondered once again like she had done every night she put her munchkin to bed. Jules smiled then walked out without making any noise, switching the lights off on her way out. She joined Ceaser in the living room and saw him at the same spot she had left him. He looked up when she walked in and she stopped a few feet away from him their gaze locked.

"I'm sorry about all..." She said gesturing to the sofa where Ivy had been all over him a while ago.

"No, please. It was fun." He said, interrupting her once again. "She actually seems like she knows what she's doing."

"I know right." Jules said as a matter of fact "I've always thought all this was a dream. That I'd finally wake up and she'll be like all those other kids that cry about everything and are difficult to deal with; although she has her moments." Jules rambled on about Ivy

"But she isn't like other kids," Ceaser said, a smile playing near his lip.

"No." Jules smiled "It's like she's done with all those childish things and..."

"...can't wait to grow up." Ceaser completed.

Jules looked up at him and saw him smiling, noticing that dimple again on his left cheek and he caught her gaze then.

"What?" He asked.

She shook her head and sighed
"You just get it." She hadn't been able to relate with anyone about Ivy. Andy and Sofi knew Ivy was a smart kid but they never got it as she did. Ivy was a miracle child; her miracle child and that little girl surprised her every day.

Ceaser's smile disappeared slowly as the tension in the room grew. Their gaze locked and it was like they were frozen in time. Ceaser's gaze grew darker and Jules' heart was beating a thousand times per minute. The tension became palpable and could be cut with a knife.
The funny thing was they both knew the other felt it but neither of them moved.

When Jules realized Ceaser wasn't going to do anything about their awkward situation, she cleared her throat and forced herself to look away from him.

What the heck was wrong with him? Ceaser thought.
One minute he was mad at her, then he was relating with her and the next he wanted to...what was it he wanted to do exactly?

"I should probably go." Ceaser finally said breaking the silence, wanting to get the heck out of here before he did something he'd regret in the morning.

How fast the anger had turned to something else. Something entirely different from any emotion he should be having for this woman.

"Yeah, of course." Jules led the way to the door and opened it.

Ceaser stepped out, turning to look at her.

"Goodnight Jules." He said.

"Goodnight." She said, shutting the door not wanting to watch him leave before she did something stupid like call him back and...and do what?

Jules shook her head like that was going to help her get rid of the thoughts that were forming in her head.

She went to bed that night after her dinner waiting patiently for sleep to take her. But obviously, it didn't since her mind couldn't stop replaying the moment in her living room. It had been awkward but that awkwardness had made her heart speed up than she'd like to admit.

She sighed and closed her eyes wishing for sleep to come whisk her away just like Ceaser had done that same night. The following day he woke up even more grumpy than his usual self and just like Jules, he couldn't stop replaying the moment in her living room.

He had stayed in the office all morning thinking of what to do even though he had a lot to do, how to start what he needed to do and so many other things. When he tried doing anything like getting some work done, images of her as she stood a few feet away from him, hair in a messy bun, her clothes lose around her doing nothing for her figure would pop into his mind. He couldn't think straight, she was occupying his mind.

Finally, lunch break came and Ceaser couldn't take any more of the distraction named Jules, he had a way of getting her off his mind and he had to do it now. He told his PA to cancel his appointments for the rest of the day then he was out of his office and, in the elevator, pushing the number to her floor.

It was no different than any other day; as usual, it was work, work and work for Jules. She had a lot of important legal documents to go through on her desk and didn't have time to think of what happened or didn't happen last night. She had to finish them today because it was a Friday and she didn't like coming back on Monday morning to dealing with last week's plus the following week's work. So, she had to finish all of them today, even if that meant staying back late. She'd just have to call Andy or Sofi and tell them to take Ivy along with them.

She glanced at the time and groaned at the 12:37 that shown. She'd just told her assistant – Alice - to go for her lunch break because she didn't want her staying behind because she was.

She was so immersed in what she was doing she didn't want to get distracted and lose focus, she'd just have to send a quick text to Alice to get her something on her way back. Just then someone knocked on her door and she frowned.

"Alice, I told you to go for lunch." She said, her eyes still glued to the page of the file in front of her.

"What about you?" She heard a sexy husky male voice ask and she didn't have to look up to know who it was. But when she finally tore her gaze away from the words on the page and looked up, she found the man that hunted her dreams last night. Yeah, she dreamt about him. How things had escalated quickly from her living room to her bedroom. This morning she had woken up wet...more like drenched. She couldn't do anything about how good looking he was and her dreams had their own mind, it's not like she could control what or who she dreamt about.

He was wearing a dark grey suit today. His hair was...sighs. All she wanted to do was run her fingers through his hair or better yet tug at it as he made slow sweet love to...

Oh my goodness. What was happening to her?
Jules snapped herself out of the wild thoughts she was having about him.

Ceaser could see last night hadn't just affected him but her too and he smirked at that.
"Like what you see, Ms. Jenna?" He asked as he shut her door and proceeded to her desk.

"What are you doing here?" Jules asked surprised to see him here and held herself back from standing up because she didn't trust her legs not to move towards him.

"I came to see you." He said like it was normal.

"How did you find me, again?" She asked.

"I have my ways Ms. Jenna." He smiled.

Jules clenched her jaw and her thighs.

"Why aren't you on your lunch break?" He asked casually.

"Hmm..." She looked back at the files on her desk then at him "...I can't."

"Why not?"

"I have to be done with these files before I leave today, and taking a lunch break wouldn't help reduce my workload."

"You could always take them home with you." He suggested like she never thought of that.

"No. Weekends are for Ivy and I, no work involved and I hate keeping them over the weekend."

Jules could have sworn she saw admiration in his eyes but it was gone as quickly as it came.
"Bummer." He said placing both his hands on her desk and staring at her intently.

She stared at his biceps that looked mouth-watering through his suit jacket. She wondered what they would look like naked.
"W-why is that?" She asked pulling her gaze away from his biceps to his face.

"I would have loved to take you out." He said, leaning closer to her.

Jules' breath caught at how close he was getting. It was almost like he was looking into her soul. His eyes darkened to a darker shade of grey. Jules' lips dried because of her raging breath through her slightly parted lips. She moistened it with her tongue and Ceaser's gaze dropped from her eyes down to where her tongue jutted out and moved across her lips. He clenched his jaw at the movement of her tongue. Damn! He wanted to replace her tongue with his, he thought as his eyes met hers again after she withdrew her tongue.

The tension was back...this time in double folds.
Slowly Ceaser leaned lower and lower till they shared the same air and he watched in fascination as her eyes drifted close and her long lashes fell in a crescent on her cheek. Jules felt his lips brush her cheek and she cursed at her desk for being small else he wouldn't be able to reach her.

"I'll pick you up for dinner," Ceaser said with that voice of his that made her heart do a backflip and a cartwheel.

Jules snapped her eyes open to see him walking away. He opened the door and turned to look at her, a smile on his face as he gave her a wink before he went out of her office leaving her confused and angry at herself for giving him the power to be able to make her feel like this.

Oh, he was such a jerk.
Jules thought.
Did he say something about dinner?

He was going to get it.

Ceaser left her office with a smirk on his face.

It was working.
He thought.

He counted on the seduction working but he didn't plan on it backfiring too.

He released his breath when he was alone in the confinement of the elevator. He had almost kissed her not because it was part of his seduction but because he wanted to. He had to use the last of his control to hold back and push away from her.

This wasn't going to end well for him.
He groaned.

Now he wished he had a friend to talk to about his situation.

Ceaser had always been on his own since the beginning. He was an only child and a nerd in school who always got into trouble for standing up for himself whenever he got bullied. He never told his parents because then they would have pulled him out and transferred him to another school which in his own opinion, as a kid, would have been worse. He never dressed up like the other rich kids, never thought it mattered. That was until he got to college and changed his entire look which got everyone's attention. The girls wanted him and the guys wanted to be friends with him. That was the point in his life he understood what everyone wanted the most – Money. But with the short time he had spent with Jules, she wasn't like the rest of them. She was different.

The chemistry between them was new to him, he'd never had that with anyone, even Bea.

What was it about Jules Jenna that made him this crazy?
