Edward P.O.V
It was in the matter of two seconds that everything happened. Bella attempted to sprint toward the door but one of the big men in suits grab her before she had the chance to reach the door. He lifted her in the air and she trashed around, trying to get him off her.
I get up but the second gorilla pushed me back down on the couch.
"Let go of me!" Bella cried out.
"Hey, Luke, watch it with my daughter," Mr. Swan said with a serious tone. "We don't want her to get injured yet."
Luke places Bella on her feet and pushes forward toward Mr. Swan. Bella pulled her hair away from her face and glared at Mr. Swan, who smiled at her and opened his arms to her.
"Are you going to give your father a hug?"
Bella huffed. "I'd cut my own arms off with a knife." She looked at me with a look that said how sorry she was before she turned back to her father. "How about we leave right now and leave them out of this?"
Mr. Swan chuckled. "No, I don't think so. I'm still waiting for my hug, little girl and I don't like waiting."
Bella didn't say anything at first. She just glared at him before standing taller and mutters, "And I'm a germaphobe, I guess your out of luck."
"Okay. Luke."
Luke stepped closer to Bella and kicked her so hard, she fell on her side and her head hit the glass wall so hard it cracked right where she hit. Jacob, Carlisle and I stand up at the same time but both Gorillas point their guns at us.
"Leave her alone!" I yell as I watched Mr. Swan approach her. Bella groans in pain and pushes herself against the glass wall, away from Mr. Swan.
Mr. Swan picked her up in his arms and pressed her against his chest. Bella tried to push him away but he wouldn't have it. He squeezed her tightly and ran his hand to the back of her head and pull her head back. The simple act made my blood boil.
"I've missed you," he repeats.
Bella glares at him but it's obvious she hit her head very hard. She looks numb and like she's about to pass out in any moment. I look over at Carlisle, who looks back at me. He knows what I'm thinking. He steps forward with his hands in the air. Mr. Swan looks at him and glares.
"Please, I just want to check her. She hit her head very hard," Carlisle said.
He nodded, looking down at his daughter. He took his hand away from his hair and looked at it covered with blood. He chuckled to himself.
"Well, will you look at that." He then just threw her on the ground. She falls right in front of me, hitting her head again and letting out a groan.
"Bella!" I kneel down by her and pull her in my arms. She begins to shake in my arms as if she's cold and clings to me until I feel her nails through my clothes.
"Why..." She choked out, tears begin to form in her eyes. I know what she means. I brought her here. I technically brought her to her doom. She probably hates me now.
"I'm sorry," I say with a cracked voice. "I'm so sorry, Bella. I love you."
She shakes her head as her tears begin to pour down her cheeks. She clings tighter and her body won't seize its shaking.
Carlisle makes an attempt to kneel down but they push him on the couch. Mr. Swan then pulls a needle out of his pocket, takes its lid off and taps the top of it making small drops of the liquid inside it drip.
"You know what's so amazing about having so much money?" Mr. Swan said with a smile. "That you literally have so much that you spend it on little things that you don't even need. Like scientists that can help you create you unique and quite scary paralyzing serum. Now, we haven't tested it but we do know it lasts up until thirty minutes before the subject falls into a deep sleep. That lasts..." He calculated in his head, "probably twelve hours."
He looks down at me and Bella. "That's more than enough for our trip, dear."
"I'm... Not going... Anywhere," Bella groaned.
He smiled. "Of course you're not. Well, at least against your will you are." He kneeled down in front of us.
"Don't touch her," I growl, pulling her closer to me and further away from him.
He ignored my growl. "You look just like your mother," he said. "That little look you have in your eyes. That look that's says just how much you want to kill me is the same look your mother gave me when I took you away. You're just like her, you know? A cold, manipulative bitch that ruins the lives of the people she meets. His for instance." He points at me. "He just can't see it right now because he's just too bewitched by you and so is that boy Jacob."
Bella let's out a sob. I hug her tighter to the point I'm scared she might have a hard time breathing but she doesn't protest.
"You killed my wife," he murmured. "You made my oldest daughter hate me. I lost everything because of you and so will he. And you know why? Because that's what you do. That's what you are meant to do. You are meant to cause pain just like your mother. You are never going to be happy because of who you are."
"You don't know who she is," I spit at him.
He looks at me. "And you do?" Before I can answer, he injects Bella in the leg with the serum.
Bella let's out a loud cry and clings to me tighter. I hold her as she cries and pleads for the pain to stop and starts twisting in my arms. Her cries only make that man smile with delight. He stands up and let's out a happy breath.
"I guess I forgot to add that it causes unbearable pain. Ops," he laughed. "It'll take you some time," he said to me over Bella's cries that are now slowly stopping. "It'll take time for you to realize how much you can hate her for what she did to you and those you love. When the time comes you won't even bare the thought of her but don't worry, you won't see her ever again." He paused, looking at how Bella stopped trashing in my arms and began to fade away.
"Bella!" I grab her by the chin. Her eyes begin to close. "No, no, Bella! Look at me! Hey, hey! Look at me in the eyes, baby. Look at me in the eyes!" She did but it was taking everything she had to keep them open. She was fading away but her tears continued to fall. "No, no. Baby, stay with me. I'm here. Hey! Hey... I love you..."
She mouthed to me I'm sorry.
"How could you do this to your own child?" Esme cried. "She's just a child!"
Mr. Swan looked at her. "Like I said, it'll take time for it to sink in." He looked back at me but I had my eyes glued on Bella as she continued to fade away. "I would love to just leave you all here and let her suffer through your hate, Edward. Let her feel so much pain but what kind of father would that make me? No a good one, I'd say. I'll be a good father, yes. For the short amount of time that I'll have her. So starting now my good father actions will begin." I glare at him. He sighed and walked to the door. "Get the girl."
Luke and the other Gorilla walked toward us.
"No! Get away from her!" I yelled, pushing myself away from them with Bella in my arms. "Get the hell away from us!"
Carlisle tried to intervene but he was pushed back. Luke grabbed me and pulled me away from her as the other one grabbed Bella and carried her bridal style. I get up but Luke throws me down and kicks me on the stomach. I groan as they walk away. I try to get up and see how Emmett is holding back Jacob, who is yelling at them not to take her.
"Edward!" Carlisle grabbed me as I attempted to run to the door. "Edward, stop! Let her go! There's nothing you can do!"
"Edward, stop!" Esme cried out.
"No!" I push him away at the same time that Jacob frees himself.
"Edward!"
We both sprint outside, followed by my family and watch how the two black Audi's speed off.
"We'll take my car!" I run to my car but Jacob reached the drivers side before I did. I toss him the keys and we pull out of the driveway before either Emmett or Carlisle had the chance to stop us.
"This is your fault!" Jacob punches the wheels as we speed off behind the cars. "We had a deal! You made a promise, Edward! You were supposed to keep her safe!"
"I know, Jacob! I know," I snap, running my hands through my hair. "We'll help her, okay? We'll get her back."
"No! You were not supposed to contact her. You should have told her to leave!"
"And risk my mother getting shot!" I yell. "He was threatening my family! What the fuck was I supposed to do? You led them to us! To her!"
Jacob punches the wheel two more times and growls. I just notice neither of us are wearing a seatbelt and we're almost going 100 miles per hour. We soon see the two Audi's ahead of us.
"How do we know there's no more cars?" I ask.
"They came in just two of those," he said. "They have her in the second one."
"How do you know?"
"Because Charlie and his group of Gorillas are in the first one. He won't risk getting himself hurt. They must have her in the second one."
"And if they don't?" What if we stop the wrong car? How are we even to stop the cars.
"I don't know!" Jacob pressed on the speed pedal deeper, making us get closer and closer to the second Audi.
"Jacob, slow down!" I yell, putting my seatbelt on. "You're going to crash!"
"That's the point!"
"You'll hurt her!"
Jacob suddenly turns the wheel and we're thrown off going around in circles. I have no idea what's happening as we circle around until we hit a tree. I pump my head against the window and groan.
I raise my head and look at Jacob. His airbag activated and he is knocked out cold. I notice the second Audi has crashed against a tree, how did they crash? Did we hit them?
Bella!
I get out of the car, ignoring how my head began going in circles and it was hard to maintain my balance. Once I reach the Audi, I open the back seat door and look inside. The two that are in front are knocked out. I look down at the back seat and see Bella on the ground. I struggle getting her out of the car because of the pain on my side.
Once we're out of the car, I place her on the middle of the road and fall to my knees. The pain is coming now and it's really hard to ignore it. I groan, clenching on to my side.
"Edward..."
I look down at Bella, who's half opened eyes look at me with tears.
"Hey." I take her face between my hands. "You're okay. You're going to... Be okay."
"No..." She breathes. "No...!"
"Wh-ah!" I yell in pain when a sudden sharp feeling stabs me right below my ribs.
I roll on to my side and groan in pain. A figure jumps over me, followed by a second one. My vision begins to blur as the pain began to be unbearable. The two figures pick her up and walk away with her to another car that I can't see.
And just like that the pain was too much to handle and I lost myself into the darkness.
