Never Normal [Chapter 29] Ice and Lightning is the New Way of Cooking:
"Boy do I love explosions!"
The smirk that had just grown on Fyre's face was quickly fading, hearing a voice from the smoke, "It's a bit hard to breathe, wouldn't you say?"
"It quite is. Fun to watch though!"
As the smoke cleared, Kai and Lloyd stood, the red ninja's arms crossed and a smirk plastered on his face.
"Did you really think Kai was going to kill me?"
Fyre's mouth hung open and she stuttered, "I-I-I- B-But you were just- Huh?"
Kai laughed and smirked more at Fyre, "You expect too much," he said, causing Fyre to growl and she lunged at them, but a rock hit her side and she stumbled, glaring at the one in black, easily blending into the night sky as a cold wind surrounded them, and Fyre backed away into the one in white. She looked around, growling and gasped as lightning struck her wing, causing her to roar out in pain, and a fire surrounded her, and was lunged at by the red one whom she knocked aside with her tail by ease. Pinning him down, she laughed and looked down at him, raising her neck to burn him to ashes, but her eyes went wide when her neck was froze with ice, and a rock hit her, causing it to smash and she struggled to maintain her balance, but fell to the ground and she looked up, seeing a hole in the fire clear. From that hole out, the bright red and orange flames started turning to green ones, and she struggled to stand but found her legs frozen to the ground.
"No one, touches my Kai."
Fyre lifted her head to see Lloyd in the middle of the flames, and quickly killed them. The ice melted around her legs as Fyre burnt them, standing, "Finally, a challenger worthy of my energy," she snickered, her legs slightly shaking as she stood.
"Aw. Tired before we even begin?" Lloyd asked, a fake concerned tone in his voice as Fyre lunged at him.
Kai stood to help, but Sensei Wu held him back, "This is their fight Kai, we have to see how well he has learned."
Refusing to watch, Kai shielded his eyes and winced every time there was a hit or a shatter, uncovering his face to see water up to his ankles on the deck, from the constant melting of ice from Lloyd and Fyre.
"I recommend we get to higher ground. Like. Now," Zane recommended and they all ran to the roof of the Bounty, getting a good view of Fyre slip on the water and fall to her side, struggling to get up but she couldn't, for her legs were too weak by this point. Lloyd looked down at her from his place on the mast and a blue ball of electricity glowed in his hands and Fyre's eyes got wide and she struggled to get off the ship in time as Lloyd struck the deck of the boat with lightning, and Fyre fell off the side of the ship, her tail being the only thing left in the deck when she jumped off, tumbling down and she spread her wings to help her fall to the ground beneath her, but there was a large hole in her wing, leaving her to let out a loud roar as she tumbled to a large hole in the ground, which quickly closed once she was out of sight.
Lloyd turned and made eye contact with Kai, but then everything went dark except for the moonlight as the lights inside the Bounty went out, leaving everyone to groan.
"You're welcome you know. I did just save the world."
"And blew out the lights."
"Whatever."
