Liz's P.O.V
"I just can't believe that you're going home." Caitlin said, wrapping her arms around Jade's neck. I wiped away the tears that were falling from my eyes as their hug broke and she moved to hug me.
Tonight was the dreaded result night and we've already gotten through to next week. But that meant that we knew who was going home and unfortunately for us, Jade was getting sent home. Even worse, so was Escape. The band that we've known since the judges homes was being sent home. I was going to miss Molly, Brandon, Erica, and Veronica a lot. I mostly talked to Molly in that band, but we were friends. I know that Julie was friends with Brandon so him going home was hard on her.
I released Jade for a second before hugging her again. The results show was my least favorite thing in the entire world. I loved getting through to the next week, but saying goodbye to a friend is so hard. I know that life will take them somewhere else and we'll lose touch, so it's hard to say goodbye.
"We've got each other's numbers. Besides, I'm planning on moving out here to continue my career. And I promise, you've got my vote. I love you girls a ton." Jade said, moving away from me and hugging Julie.
"We love you too and we'll keep in touch." Caitlin said as Jade and Julie hugged.
"Jay Cee El and One Step to the stage." Mark said. We were the remaining two acts in Simon's category.
"You girls go and have fun. Good luck, I hope you get in first place." Jade said as we started to make our way towards the stage.
Our final goodbye to her was said before we were ushered towards Simon, the boys of One Step waiting there with us. He gave us a sympathetic smile before we had to walk out on stage. I grabbed onto Caitlin's hand as we walked out onto the brightly lit stage. The remaining six contestants were now all out on stage. One Step and us, Evan, Chris, Denise, and Grace. We were all standing with our mentors as Khloe Kardashian took center stage.
A few seconds passed by before the screen above the camera lit up, saying that we were live. Khloe was quick to get her cue to talk. "And we're back. We've just had to say goodbye to Jade Loveridge and Escape; we'll miss them dearly. But tonight isn't over. The remaining six contestants are ready to be ranked, which will hopefully give us a clue on how the semi final will go." She said.
"Let's get to it then, the contestant in sixth place is... Grace Tenner. You've done great so far, but the votes in. You've got to bring you're a game next week." Khloe said. Grace hugged her mentor - Demi - before walking off the stage.
"In fifth place was have... Denise Richardson. You're in a good spot right now, but keep up the work and you'll get further." Khloe said. The younger girl hugged Demi before walking off stage. The four remaining acts moved a bit closer together and I grabbed Julie's hand, squeezing it in my hand.
The contestant in fourth was Chris Devins and then in third it was Evan. I was so glad that Evan was in third place. He deserved the world and more; especially after he called me cute a week or two back. Nothing has happened between the two of us yet, but I'm hoping. We really haven't talked to each other that much because we've been so busy, but maybe we could go on a date or something- that's if he likes me.
My thoughts broke apart when Caitlin squeezed me hand. "And now we've got the two acts that have been battling it out since the beginning for first place. They always come close to a tie, but One Step has always been just few votes ahead. Let's see how the votes went this week... and the act in first place is... Jay Cee El!" Khloe nearly screamed.
My mouth dropped open for a split second before I jumped up and down in my purple heels, turning to Caitlin and Julie. We all wrapped our arms around each other and continued to jump around and squeal in excitement. Simon then stepped in and hugged the three of us. Happy tears filled my eyes as our group hug broke apart.
The boys from One Step appeared out of nowhere and more hugs were passed around. Of course Marty immediately went to Caitlin, being that they were now dating. She had told him last night that she would be his girlfriend. I think it's adorable. I'm glad that Caitlin is happy with him. Besides, Marty is a great guy and they seem perfect together.
Beck hugged me tightly, yelling congratulations over the screaming audience. I pulled away from the hug and smiled thankfully at him before we were all ushered off the stage. I could still hear Khloe announcing next week's theme and what not as we walked off stage and congratulations were thrown at us from everyone around the room.
"I can't believe that we are ranked first." I shook my head in disbelief.
"I know, it's so fucking weird. But ah, we are." Caitlin squealed. I laughed and squeezed her hand again.
"It's so crazy. We are going into the semi final in first place. Our dream is coming true..."

"Hi Simon, how are you?" Julie asked Simon the following morning. The girls and I were up bright and early the morning after the results show to have a meeting with Simon. It wasn't the first meeting we've had and I'm praying that it won't be the last. I'm not sure what this meeting is about if I'm being totally honest, but I'm sure that it couldn't be too bad.
"I'm doing pretty good, a little tired, but that's expected. How are you girls doing this morning?" Simon asked, his British accent so deep and defined.
"We're good," Julie answered, taking her leader role. "A little nervous for what you wanted to talk about..." She said.
Simon laughed. "Always so eager. So as you know this week's performance is critical. However your past performances give me enough reason to think that you three will do a great job. Anyway, if you three girls make it to the duets then you will be working with someone famous, as you already know." Simon said.
"What song will we be doing?" Liz asked.
"It's a new song, it's just been released. I'm sure you've heard it though. Actually the artist made a personal request to sing with you girls." Simon said, dragging it out. He knew what he was doing. If he told us the name of the song we'd be able to guess who we were singing with. So Simon wanted to drag it out as long as he could.
"Just tell us already." I laughed.
"Well ladies, you'll be working with a well known British/Irish boyband that goes by the name of One Direction." Simon said, holding back a smile. My eyes widened and my mouth dropped open. Julie and Caitlin both looked over at me as I stared at Simon.
"Wait so... they asked to sing with us? Who?" Julie asked. I was still speechless.
"Liam did actually, I was talking to him about finding a celebrity to come and sing and he offered. I was originally going to ask Katy Perry to sing with you, but I thought that having two bands on there would be a good choice. Is Liz alright?" Simon said.
"Yeah, she's fine. She's just a huge fan of One Direction and is probably going to shit herself." Caitlin laughed.
"Alright, well then I'm sure she's excited. But we need to discuss the show on Wednesday..."
I wasn't really paying much attention to what Simon was saying after that. All I could think about is how if it all goes well in one week from now we could be working with my favorite artist. I'm not sure what song we'd be singing because Simon never said. Although I have a feeling that it's Live While We're Young, the song that they just released.
Simon finished up talking after another few minutes and sent us on our way. We grabbed our belongings and then left the room. None of us said anything as we walked towards the exit. We needed to get back to the hotel for to hang out and for tomorrow because we've got to wake up semi early tomorrow to work with Gale and the song.
"Oh my God," I finally said, "I'm going to be meeting One Direction!"
