I took off running down the hall and listened very carefully. I had implanted motion sensors in the floor a while back when a Warlock had found its way to my house. Needless to say that Warlock is not dead and I could go on with my life with out having to worry about anyone find my place. And nooooo I did not kill him. But old age is a b*tch.
I heard one of the motion sensors go off and I ran in that direction. When I got there I saw Elijah reach out and grab the handle to my secret library. When he saw it was locked he only looked at the door confused.
"If no one knows about this place why would you lock the door?" Elijah asked me and reached for the handle again to try and break it. The second he used his vampire strength the spell on the door pushed him backwards. Most vampires would have been thrown across the room but him being an original all it really did was make him back off.
"Young, old, dead or alive. Witches just amaze me. Don't you think?" I asked him and leaned against the door with my arms crossed.
"What's in here?" Elijah asked and I shrugged my shoulders.
"Nothing you need to know about. Only I can open the door." I said and walked up to him. He turned to ask another question but I placed a gentle kiss on his lips and lightly ran my hand down his arm. "Elijah?" I asked innocently.
"Hmm?" He hummed in reply. A big grin stretched across my face.
"You're it." I said and he rolled his eyes.
"Your changing the subject."
"Actually you are the one who started this little game. So I am changing nothing." I said and lightly poked his chest.
"What are you hiding"
"I'm not hiding anything, Elijah." I smiled at him.
"Prove it. Open the door." He said signaling to the locked door.
"Nah, I'm good. But thanks for asking." I said and walked away from him. I heard the rattle of keys and let out a sigh. Turning around and placed my hands on my hips and let out a sigh. "Really Elijah? You know do like my privacy." I said and Elijah gave in tossing the keys to me.
"My apologies. I forget that some people like this thing called privacy." He teased. I rolled my eyes and walked over to the door.
"Just to let you know." I placed my hand on the handle. "You can't open it with a key. When I make contact with the handle it unlocks." I said turning the door handle and pushing it open. "Just don't touch anything." I walked in the to story library that had a balcony all the way around it with a set of stairs leading to the top. I looked over to one of my chairs to see that my one book was still open with a pen sitting inside it.
Elijah walked over and picked it up. Setting it back down he walked over to the shelves running a finger across the leather hard binds. I had old music plays and new music plays lined perfectly around the room. There were a couple chairs sitting around an old oak table and a set of glass wear sitting on a stand with my favorite alcohol. And you might be wondering what the big deal is about my secret library. Besides it being an awesome library. Well every single book on the upper level of the library were my stories. I had written every single one of them. That would be over 400 books. Some of them were story while others were journals of my old drawings and new drawings. And this room was different than any other room because instead of portraits or murals on the walls. It was a solid royal red color. And all the furniture in this room I had hand made.
So yeah having a lot of time on your hands can be a blessing and a curse. Though a lot of these things were from when i was human.
I had lost track of Elijah until o heard his voice call out to me.
"Did you write these yourself?" Elijah asked and I turned to see he was walking across the balcony with one of my books in his hand.
"Yes." Was my short answer and Elijah continued to read. I didn't really know what to do at the moment and was thankfully saved from my own awkwardness when the phone in here rang. Of course the home phones in this house are not only located in this room but also in the living room, kitchen, my bed room, and the other library.
Walking over to the phone I reached down the pick up the phone. It was one of those older phones that sat on the wall. But this one was just one piece. Not two like most old phones back in the day.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Hey b*tch how have you been holding up with out me?" A voice came through the phone and it took me a little while to figure out who was calling me. But when I figured it out I let out a laugh. It was one of my old friends who was a witch. In fact she is the daughter of the Warlock I was talking about earlier. Her name is Janice, we became pretty good friends when her father introduced us. But after her father died she had to deal with a lot of family business and I had to deal with my brothers so we had to say goodbye until we could get the chance to see each other again. (A/n: this is a one time kind of thing when I bring in random characters. So after this it should go back to mystic falls kind of normal.)
"I've been absolutely devastated with out you i don't know how I can even walk right with out something going terribly wrong." I said dramatically and I heard her laugh on the other end.
"Haha clara. You always have a way of cheering me up. But anyways I called to let you know that I am inviting you to my baby shower that is actually....today at 3pm." I looked up at the clock to see it was midnight. "Don't bring a gift. Or I will kill you. All i want is to see you again."
"You're pregnant?" I asked confused and turned my chair and flopped down in it.
"Yes. I'm having twins. Plus you know about my older sister and her baby girl Don't you?" She asked and I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Ah yes." I said nodding my head in realization. "I haven't met the new addition to the family yet. But sure. I can make it to the baby shower. In fact I just got to town."
"Yeah I know. I felt it when you crossed the boarder into town." Janice said. "That's another reason I called " she said like it was obvious.
"I'm hanging up on you now." I said mockingly "See you at the bag at shower."
"Alright bye."
"Bye." I hung up the phone but it rang again. "Yes?" I asked
"Bring a date." Was all she said and hung up again. I looked at the phone confused but then set it in its original spot on the wall. I got off my chair and walked over to Elijah how was now in my comfy chair reading one of the books I had written.
"So." I said leaning against the chair. Elijah looked at me and set the book down.
"Who happened to have called?" Elijah asked and I rolled my eyes at the formality of his words
"An old friend. So Elijah." I said and moved so I had my elbows on the arm rest.
"Yes, clara?" He asked and raised an eyebrow at me.
"Will you be my date to a baby shower?" I asked him calmly.
"A baby shower?" Elijah asked confused and I let out a sigh.
"Yes. Now will you be my date?" I asked.
"And what if I do not wish to go to this baby shower of your?" He asked teasingly.
"Well then I'll ask Klaus " I said smirking and went to walk away but was suddenly turned around by Elijah as he was now standing in front of me.
"Yes I will go with you." Elijah said and I nodded my head once in approval.
"Good." I said and poked his nose. "Because you really didn't have a choice." I shrugged my shoulders and walked away.
"I'm sure if it came down to it I believe I would have a choice in the final matter." Elijah said in that formal little voice that he has.
"No not really." I said not even looking back at him as I walked away. "Now let's go to bed. It's past midnight." I said.
"Where will I be sleeping exactly?" Elijah asked. I stopped walking for the door and looked over my shoulder to look at him.
"With me of course." I said and grabbed the door handle. "Well unless you don't want to." I walked out of the room but was soon lifted off the ground and found my self in my room. I looked up to find Elijah holding my close to his chest and walked over to the bed that had a blue silk comforter.
"I think I'll stay with you. After all this is a big house. You wouldn't want me getting lost now would you?" Elijah asked and I rolled my eyes. Elijah laid me down. I went to get back up but was interrupted when Elijah kissed me.
"You know Elijah." Elijah kissed me again. "I still." Kiss. "Have to" kiss. "Get my" kiss "pajamas on." Elijah kissed me again and then went to my neck.
"Or you could just not wear anything." Elijah suggested. I raised my eyebrows at him and was going to respond to that but was interrupted with Elijah's lips on mind. He was being very gentle and leaving small kiss along my face and neck. Then he grabbed the bottom of my shirt and lifted it over my head. I willingly raised my arms and then pulled him down into a more passionate kiss. I grabbed his tie and pulled it off. I then opened his shirt push it it off his shoulders. With Elijah's lips never leaving mine he reached for my waist line and pulled off my pants.
When things started to get more heated between up and our hands started wondering. I started to freak out. My breathing got fast and instead of letting my hands wander I grabbed a hold of his biceps to stop both of us from moving.
"What's wrong? Am I hurting you?" Elijah asked with concern in his voice and looked me over to see if he had actually hurt.
"I I -I -I." I stuttered out and rested my hands on Elijah shoulder. Let out a some what calm breath I looked up at him and saw thousands of emotions flash in his eyes. What I saw must was concern which then turned to worry which turned to... love. "I need a bath. A hot hot hot bath." I said and vamp sped to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and rubbed my eyes. Hearing a knock on the door waited for him to speak.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to push you into anything." Elijah said and that wasn't what was bothering me. I had just freaked out because i wasn't used to all of this relationship stuff. Opening the door I pulled him into the bath room with me. Turning on the water in the wide, tall bath tube I pulled Elijah so his hands were on my hip.
"It's me who should be apologizing. I freaked out. I'm sorry. Let's try this again... So... would you like to take a bath me?" I asked and Elijah leaned in to kiss me on the lips.
" I would love to."
