You smiled brightly at the letter before placing it into his locker. Hurray! It was your 35th letter to the boy you had Had a crush on for a long time but never had the chance to tell because of so many obvious reasons.
He was popular,you were not.
He didn't like People Following him around, you were his stalker.
And he didn't like to associate with nerds as he sees them as being too 'boring' and guess what? You were A Major Nerd.
Knowing this it was alright for you to play the girl in the background, his secret admirer, even though he had never for once searched for you. Still,you never stopped admiring him because he was like a drug, you were addicted too.
Hearing the bell ring, you tapped the heart shaped lollipop to his locker before scurrying away like you always did.

Eunwoo Squeezed the letter like he had done to the other 34 and thrown it in the trashcan near him.He picked out his books and closed his locker to see the lollipop you had put out for him and sighed asking himself when you were eventually going to give up especially when he didn't bother searching for you. No offence but he didn't have Time for Frail relationships especially when his family's going through a lot.
Taking off the lollipop, he turned to Bill, a classmate. “Hey Bill, catch!” he mentioned, throwing the lollipop to Bill who caught it with a confused look.
Walking out of school, he Looked up at the sky and prayed for two miracles. One, that his First Love would be well again and Two, that you would leave him alone.
Hide and seek? He wasn't ready to play with you,he had never been.

You walked into the hospital toward the Waiting room as you meet your mother sitting in front of it with her hands clasped together waiting for a miracle to happen. You Knelt in front of her, caressing her Pale skin she had on her face. “Omma, it will be fine. Uncle will be fine. Worrying's only going to kill you if you continue this way”
“I know, I know but the doctor said he's going to die. Darling, you know he can't die on us, I have so many things to do for him” She replied, her voice cracking a bit. That was a sign that she would be releasing the Red Sea soon as you pulled her in a for a hug and comforted her. Her brother was the closet thing to her and she didn't want to lose him. Who would be in their right mind knowing their sibling was going to die? Exactly No one but she had to be strong for her siblings,,herself and Uncle.
With her head placed on your coat, you got out your seat trying not to wake her up. You were starving and needed to get food for her also but some hospital foods were......You know...tasteless, horrible. Even Prison Had better foods for their convicts.
You were collecting two cans of drink from the vending machine when you saw Eunwoo, talking to A Doctor in front of A room. He was looking so pale that your heart started to beat worriedly for him. Was he sick? Did he have issues too?
“Please Doctor, you have to help her. She must not die”
“There's not much we can do but if you don't believe in prayers, you better start to do so now. Pray for A miracle” he tapped his Shoulders and walked away. You turned to Eunwoo who had tears falling from his eyes and your heart won't stop Beating so fast in pain. You had promised to be there for him, you wanted to be there for him, even though he didn't care about the Letters, gifts, and other things you had sent him, you still wanted to play a role in his life.
“Here” you handed out one of the cold drink to him.“...Drink it while it's still cold”. He looked at you first, before staring at the can of cola you had gotten him.
“Its not poison, I'm pretty sure they don't put poisoned drinks in the Vending machine” you teased as he collected the cola and you sat beside him. He shifted a little bit for you to Sit beside him before opening his drink.
“That lady.... Is she very close to you?” you asked. He gulped down a drink and nodded.
“She's my First Love”

You shouldn't have asked! You felt your heart beginning to break. It was painful. He was here because of his first love? He cried because of his first love. And it wasn't you, it wasn't ever going to be you. What were you expecting anyway?
“I'm sorry For Her and I hope she gets better. She looks like she's very important to you”
He nodded. “For now, she's my Only world”. You kept quiet, and sipped your drink knowing that you shouldn't talk about something that would hurt you anymore. But why was it so painful?
“You look familiar? Do you Go to PARANG high?” he suddenly asked. Of course you would look familiar, you were in his class.
You nodded a bit as he smiled. “oh what's your name? Wanna become friends with me?”
He was being sincere but you didn't know what to do. How can you be friends with someone who you would give up the world for but has someone who was already his world? Was it possible? No, you weren't going to be friends With him, you'd be crazy if you did.
“Yes, Sure”
The words slipped from your mouth. Okay, maybe you were a little crazy but that was the Role you had decided to play in his life. The role of A friend.

“Why? I told you I didn't bring enough Money” you told Eunwoo who Huffed and Shook his head. “You're lying again. I saw some new notes in your purse earlier today”
“well...well..uhm..you... ” you said trying so hard to come up with an excuse. He only smirked and tapped your shoulder. “You're treating me today. That's final”
You bit your lips as you walked into your classroom with him. He placed his bag on his table and took his seat while yours was being occupied by Another girl. “Excuse me, you're in my seat” you said really quietly. She scoffed and looked away. You repeated your words and it felt like hell had come out from her mouth.
“Are you stupid? Use your eyes Thick brain, there are other seats around. I don't think you deserve to seat near Eunwoo.” she hurled at you. It made you mad but you were an ambassador of peace. Instead, you bowed and turned to look for another seat, after all, it was just a seat.
But Eunwoo didn't seem to like it. He grabbed your wrist and faced “Miss Tough-less”. “I hate people like you, people like you who think you know everything. People who make stupid decisions for me. I think I'm old enough to choose who sits beside me and who doesn't, and guess what? You do not belong to the category of the former. Now get off the seat!” he commanded as she sprang up from the seat and Scurried away. He turned to you and sweetly said; “Its your seat now. If you like something, you should always fight for it” and sat on his seat.
You didn't understand. Fight for something you like? What did he mean? You slowly sat to avoid the preying eyes on you but immediately you meet Eunwoo's smile, you suddenly felt protected.
Fight for something you like...... would you win? Especially if that person was Cha Eunwoo.
Days, months passed by and The hospital was the place you liked spending your days at. You had wanted to see Eunwoo's first love but you weren't allowed in as always. You only wanted to see her but without Eunwoo's permission, they wouldn't let you see her.
You looked at the locker, you had been accustomed to daily. It was time to Confess. You had your doubt and fears but you also had hope.
'Fight for what you like'
the words kept repeating in your head as you opened the locker and placed the letter in it but wasn't long before it was quickly snatched by someone.
“Hey give it back! ” you yelled at the girl who had a grin on her lips. She tore the envelope and ran into the Cafeteria. You chased after her but you weren't the 'Best' runner so you stopped at the door as She Began to read your confession letter in front of the whole school. Should The ground open and swallow you? No you should disappear and never come back to this world again. You only wanted to confess to Eunwoo but now, the whole school knows you Like-Like him.
“nadya”
You froze, not wanting to look him in the eye. “Is this True? Are you my secret Admirer?”
Your palms began to get Sweaty and you started to hyperventilate. You wanted to nod your head and say yes like every other person does but how could you even say a word when he's only going to reject you? This wasn't how you planned it in your head and soon, you found yourself running away like you always did. He loved someone else.
“Hey Stop!” he yelled but you didn't. You kept running until you came to a dead end. Aish! Stupid brick wall. Why did it have to be so cliché?
“why are you running away?”
No reply. You weren't going to answer. He should make this less painful and just walk away. He got closer and reached out to touch you but you flinched. “Please D-Don't come near me, just go”
“How long? How long have you Been keeping these feelings?”
“Just go” you turned your face from him so he won't see your tears.
“When One confesses, shouldn't they wait for the answer?”
You shook your head. “No..Not everyone does that especially when its clear. Eunwoo-ah, I know your answer already. You don't have to Tell me. You don't have to feel guilty”
He slowly cupped your face in his hands and said; “You don't know my answer. Although I didn't know you were my secret admirer, I'm not disappointed that it was you. But you have to know that I began to like you as you. If I didn't like you, I won't always be near you and stand up for you, I was going to confess but you beat me to it. Should I be Sad at that?”
His words were like healing potions to your wounded heart, then you remembered his 'first love'. “If you say you love me, what about your first love?”
“first love?”
You nodded. “The one at the hospital that means the whole world to you”. He laughed and made you more furious. Was he only playing with you?
“My first Love is My Mom and yes, she means the world to me”he completed as you eyes showed concern. You were surprised at how it had changed from fury to concern almost immediately.“So you don't have to be jealous cause you are My true first love and My Only true world now”
Blushing, you hid your face in his chest and giggled. Tch! So cheesy. “Nadya, would you like to play a game?”
“Sure....what game?”
“This time, I'll hide something precious and you'll seek for it, when you do, make sure you claim it and make it yours forever”
“Sure...” you looked up at him, “... But What precious thing am I seeking for?”
Bending to kiss your forehead, he replied;
