Niall's P.O.V
My eyes slowly opened, adjusting to the brightness that suddenly filled my room. I groaned loudly and pulled the covers up and over my head, not ready to face the day ahead of me. I was so tired and all I wanted to do was go back to sleep, where the cruel world couldn't get its hands on me. I was up so late last night, reading through all the hate that was sent my way. I know it's not healthy to do it, but it was an addiction to me. I had to know what they were saying about me, good or bad.
I heard footsteps walking towards me before the warm covers were ripped off my body and the cold air hit my skin. I hissed at the coldness and brightness, grabbing my pillow and pulling it over my head. I heard a chuckle and the next thing I know, hands were pressing onto my stomach. I squirmed away from the tickling hands and rolled to the other side of the bed, looking up at the asshole that decided to ruin my day this earlier.
"Ugh, fuck off Zayn." I said, putting my head down on the other pillow to block out the light. I heard him sigh and the bed dip down, letting me know that he was sitting.
"C'mon Niall, you've got to get up. It's almost noon." Zayn said.
"And shockingly you're awake." I said, my voice muffled from the pillow. This time I heard him laugh and I knew he was running a hand through his morning - I'm sorry, almost afternoon - stubble.
"Yeah, because I'm planning on having a life today. We have the meeting with Simon later today, are you going to at least shower before we go?" He asked.
"I don't know," I whined, not having the energy to do anything. "Can't you just tell Simon that I'm sick?" I said, letting out a few fake coughs.
"The fans haven't seen you in a few weeks and they are worried." Zayn said, I snorted. If they were worried they wouldn't be sending me all the hate. "You should at least let them see you again." He finished.
I sighed and rolled around on my back, looking up at the ceiling. I know that Zayn is right. I should go out and let the fans know that I'm alive and that their bitter words haven't put me down. Of course, they have, but I don't want them to know that. There were the true fans that really did support me and haven't sent any hate, and for them I would make an appearance. The fans that defend me on Twitter, the ones that start fights just protecting me, this would be for them.
"Alright, alright. I'll go. Just, get out so I can start getting ready." I told him. Zayn smiled and patted my shoulder before standing up. As he was walking out the door I called out to him. "Oh and Zayn, thanks for letting me stay here for a little while." I said.
"Be out by tonight." He said as he left, closing the door behind him.
I laughed, shaking my head. "Love you too, bro." I yelled. I heard his laughter beginning to grow quieter and quieter until I couldn't hear it anymore. Once I was sure that he was gone, I groaned and fell back onto the bed, not ready to start my day just yet.

I looked in the mirror one last time, making sure that there was nothing that could be hated on. I tried my best to look as good as Harry would, or any of the other guys. They all look good and they all get noticed for it. But the fans never really notice my looks, though I wouldn't want them too.
I had decided that looking more casual would be the best way to go. I was just in a pair of blue jeans and a white shirt, with a pair of black sunglasses. I had just dyed my hair the other week and it was all blond, no roots coming through yet. I knew it wasn't enough for the fans though, it would never be enough.
"Hey, are you almost done? We should get going." Zayn said, poking his head through the door.
"Yeah, yeah. Let me just grab my stuff." I said, walking over to the bed. My phone and a few other things sat on the bed and I quickly grabbed them shoving them in my pockets. Turning to Zayn, I smiled and told him that I was ready to go.
"Hey, I just wanted to tell you that I'm here to talk if you need it. I know that with the hate and Hannah, things aren't going so well with you, but I'm here if you need it." Zayn said.
"Thanks, that means a lot. I'll talk to you if I need it." I said. Zayn nodded and squeezed my shoulder reassuringly before heading out the door. That's one of things that I loved about him. Zayn wouldn't get all up in my face about something. He would let me decide when I needed to talk and he wouldn't pressure me about it.
I closed the door behind me and caught up to Zayn, turning to face him. "So, what do you think Simon wants to talk to us about?"

The elevator doors opened and we were let out into the hallway of the top floor. A receptionist led us down the hallway to a door that read 'Cowell'. A large window was to my left and you could see the London skyline from it. The sun was already beginning to set and the sky was beginning to grow purple and pink, it looked pretty. It looked hopeful.
"Right through here." The older women said, opening up the door. Zayn walked in first and I followed him into the room. The lads were already here, being that Zayn and I were running late due to the traffic in the busy city. I was surprised when I saw that Simon wasn't here; I guess he was even later than we were.
I sent a smile towards the boys and sat down in the white couch that Simon had in his office. I never understood why big time people had white furniture in their office. What if something got spilt or something? I would much rather have something more laid back than this. I get nervous just sitting in here.
As the room filled with chatter amongst the room, I pulled out my phone. I knew it wasn't a good thing but I went onto Twitter, reading through the hate that I was still getting. A lot of it was because of the Nannah breakup. People really liked us together I guess. If only they knew the truth... that she's been cheating on me for the past few months. I really should've known. I still have to get my stuff from the flat.
We were waiting for another few minutes before the door opened and Simon himself walked into the room. He sent a smile in our direction, bidding us a hello before he went to sit behind his desk. I watched as he put his coffee down on the surface of the desk and opened a drawer, pulling out some paper. I locked my phone and slipped it into my pocket as the room quieted down.
"Alright so, how are you all doing?" Simon asked, looking around the room at the five of us.
"We're going pretty good Simon, and you?" Liam answered for all of us.
"Couldn't complain. So, I'm sure that you're all wondering why I called this meeting. It has nothing to do with you as a band, I just wanted to touch up on a few things. First off," Simon said, looking down on the paper that was in front of him. "Niall, there's been a lot of hate going around about you. I'm guess you've seen it?" He asked.
I nodded, "Yeah, I have." Louis placed his hand on my shoulder and he squeezed it reassuringly.
"Well, that's something we can't control. We never could. I suggest being more active with the fans, letting them know that you care more. I also know that you're trying hard to be the celebrity that they want you to be, what with changing your style and even your teeth. It's still not good enough for them and I hate asking this, but maybe if you tried, I don't know, working out more?" Simon said.
I didn't like being put on the spot like this, my cheeks were heating up in embarrassment. All the boy's eyes were on me and before I knew it, I was nodding in agreement. "Sure, I can try that." I said.
"You could come with me to the gym and I can help you out, if you want." Liam said. I looked up at him and nodded as a thank you.
"Okay, so now that that's settled we can get onto more important things. Your album sales are doing great and we are expanding the Take Me Home tour due to the international breakthrough. We are in the process of adding on more shows in North America and Australia. Niall, since there is so much heat on you, you will be the one to announce the concert dates. I'll have someone send you the details and whatnot." Simon said.
He looked down at the paper once more before looking back up at the five of us. "Also, in the next few months you will obviously be taking a break. There will be a few appearances such as the VMA's coming up, as well as some of the other things that you five will be doing. I won't be involved that much in these upcoming months, I'll be away for a while." Simon said.
"Where are you going?" Harry asked.
"I'm actually going to start filming the judges homes portion of the X Factor, USA. I'll be in France with my category, though I have yet to find out who I will be mentoring." Simon asked.
"Anyone worth watching?" Zayn asked.
Simon laughed, "I really shouldn't be saying this, but there is actually. Our last season was pretty good, though the winner hasn't really 'made it' so to speak. But this season there's a girl group that I'm excited about. But who knows? We'll see how it goes."
