I paced around my room nervously. the whole house was silent, we were all waiting for nightfall so Valerie would show up. I needed her guidance. but when I fell asleep at night wondering what I was, why was I like this, she didn't come. that night during vacation I found out a lot bout myself, and found out I knew less about myself than I thought. we came back home the next day. it was two days after that and Raven and Jesse had decided to do some research. they took me to a supernatural library we looked for days at a time but we had no luck finding out anything about a vampire werewolf hybrid.
a few weeks later-
I pulled a silver oval locket out of a hidden compartment in the nightstand behind the drawer. it had a small yellowing note along in the compartment. the handwriting was In a smooth cursive script.
'Dear Valerie, I wonder if you will ever find this. I'm leaving. I want you to come with me but I know I can't ask you. you have a duty to serve. as a princess and as being the only one of your kind. I've figured something out that may be of help to you, though. if you wear the locket it will help you learn to control your powers, I've enchanted it. I've tried it on multiple different vampires and werewolves. it works and will help trust me my darling Valerie. Farewell, Carlyle T. Rayne'
I looked at the old locket curiously. enchanted, huh. I held the locket lightly in my hand. I took a pen and wrote on the back of my hand and wrote 'research Carlyle T. Rayne' I paced my room for a second. then raced downstairs to find Raven, and literally running into him in the process.
"woah, slow down there little owl." Raven laughed. I handed him the paper and the locket carefully. he quickly scanned through the letter then gave me a curious glance. "this raises more questions than answers, you know." Raven told me and I nodded. "but it dose answer two things, Valerie was both vampire and werewolf too, which means I'm probably a descendant of her, that's why I'm both too." I told him and he nodded. "but I don't think Valerie ever found the letter and the locket, that's why she didn't get kidnapped but ran away. everyone assumed she was kidnapped, which worked in her benefit. and she hid amongst her people as a commoner. " I told him my theory. he nodded understanding. "makes sense." Raven said. " let's go to bed owl, I have something to talk to you about." "Okay." I yawned.
