3 Months Later
3 months later and I'm still mourning over me and Alex breaking up. I thought it would be easier then this. It was a mutual decision, right? I was busy with school, him busy with hockey. It wasn't that he didn't have time for me it's that we didn't have time for each other. I don't know about him, but I would always love him. About 2 and a half months after we broke up, Alex got a new girlfriend. Brendan told me about her. Told me her name was Chanel, and that she's 27 years old. I got a weird vibe from her. Maybe it's just because I didn't want anyone to be dating the man I loved for a year of my life. They went strong for a long time. Then one day, I got a text from Brendan during one of my lectures.

I decided to ask once I saw that. "Mr Stephens?" I asked my professor. "Yes, Miss L/N?" he muttered back at me. "Can I be excused? There's something wrong with my uh, with my um, with my-" "With your what, Miss L/N?" he interrupted. "With my," I gulped. "Boyfriend." Why would I say that? Whatever. "Seriously wrong or just wrong." he wondered. "Could be seriously. Not sure, his friend texted me and said there's something wrong with him and I need to get out of this lecture." I told him. "I mean I guess." he said and I smiled at him. "Thank you." I told him and left. I walked out to my car and called Brendan. It rang a few times, but he picked up. "Hey Bren, what's up." I spoke into the phone. "Alex was throwing a party last night. Chanel walked in and there was 2 girls sitting next to him. She punched him in the face. Nothing's broken, he just said he wanted to see you."

We drove to Alex's house and I saw him sitting on the couch, red blood shot eyes, an ice pack on his eye. "Alex." I breathed out and he looked up. "Y/N.." he breathed out. "Alex. Are you okay?" I asked worriedly. "I'm okay baby, I'm okay. I'm so so so sorry. I miss you so much. I can't believe I thought I loved her like I loved you. I love you so much baby, please I'm begging you. Take me back." he begged, getting up from the couch, setting down his ice pack and walking over to me, grabbing both of my hands. "Alex, I-I don't know. The reason we broke up is because we didn't have time for each other." I told him, a tear slipping down my cheek which was quickly wiped away by Alex. "Baby, I will always make time for you. I'm sorry if I made you feel like you weren't wanted or weren't enough. I love you baby, please take me back." he said, his voice straining, on the edge of tears. "I think I want to try this again." I told him and a huge smile emerged onto his face, picking me up and spinning me around. "I will always have time for you, my love."
