Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. OUCH. "ITAI!" You wail. [painful] As you try to put on your brown leather boots, there's a sharp pain in your lower area. And so, this is the terrible after effects of Mating Season the gods have graciously bestowed upon me..
You (miraculously) manage to make your way to the guild, sitting down.
"H-Hey, (N/N)-Chan?" Levy sits down across from you, a troubled look on her face.
"Mhm?" You hum, trying not to squirm.
"How do you know you've found the right guy?"
You're taken aback by this question, a smirk appearing on your face as you realize. Mating Season. Gajeel. You decide not to say anything, but answer her question truthfully. "Well.. When you know you've found your future husband.." You stare at your drink, stirring the liquid as you ponder your next words. "You just.. Know it. He- He's the one guy that makes your heart flutter. If you've liked guys in the past, this guy doesn't even begin to compare. You know that he enjoys your company, and you enjoy his... And.. He gives you that... Look. The look that no one else can replicate. And when you see that look, you'll know it's the same one he'll give you at the altar. And when that moment, where he bends down on one knee.. I can only imagine the happiness.. 'The happiness that compares to nothing else,' they say. 'Except for the wedding.' But.. You really, truly know how much he loves you, when he spends time with you, when he fights for you, and when he fights with you. It's not the right guy if he spends too much time away from you for no reason."[1]
"Wow, that's deep." There's an arm being draped around your shoulder, "So, is that guy me?"
You scoot over a bit, only to be attacked by a land of pain in your lower abdomen. You wince, "Ow."
"S-Sorry!" You turn to see Sting cautiously backing away from you. "I guess I'm not so good at holding back when we-"
"WH-WHEN THEY TRAIN!" Lucy yells, trying to cover up for you when she sees Erza's face.
In a flash, Sting is on the floor with Erza's sword to his throat. "Tell me everything. Don't play games, because I'm fully aware yesterday was the last day of Dragon Slayer Mating Season."
"We had fun.." Sting mumbles, both his and your faces turning red.
Erza flinches. "E-excuse me..?"
"We had fun in bed.." Sting's tone is barely audible. "And in the kitchen..."
"And the living room.." You add between fake coughs.
Erza freezes in a state of shock. "Run," you mouth to Sting. He does so, and (somehow) manages to escape Erza's clutches...

The day was pretty much normal, except for the constant jab of pain every now and then...
You open the doors to Sabertooth, Rogue immediately greeting you.
"Hey Rogue, where's Sting?" You ask politely, trying not to acknowledge the hypothetical knives jabbing your inner thigh.
He shrugs, "Sting left to go somewhere, then came back, and then.. Disappeared or something. If you want, you can check the rooms."
"Oi, (Y/N)!" Orga motions you to come over. He brings his arm around your shoulder, "So, Sting has been gone for a week.." He smirks, "Did you two have fun?"
Your eyes widen, and you cautiously walk away, Orga's laughing in the distance.
You walk down the hallway, peeking in every door to check for Sting. Nowhere to be found.. As you make your way to the corridor lined with guest rooms, you hear a noise..
A noise you would remember forever...
Moaning.
Your nightmare becomes reality as you peek through the door, seeing a girl, naked, along with..
Sting.
You let out a breath rather loudly, whispering his name. He looks up at you in shock. You shake your head, and start running..

Running from your heart.[2] As far as your legs can carry you.. As you find yourself in a forest, you start hyperventilating...
'Little you and Sting play together as the kids of the orphanage frolic in the distance.
"I'm so glad we're friends, Sting!" You exclaim, smiling as he gave you a flower.
"Hey.. Wh-what if we end up husband and wife when we grow up..?" Sting asks.
Little you hesitates, "Weirdo." You playfully slap his arm.
"You're a weirdo, too." He states, smiling. "We're both weirdos!"

"You got ice cream on your nose again!" Little you shouts, chasing little Sting. "Come back here, ya butt!"
"What if this butt doesn't wanna come back!" He smirks a bit, laughing.
"Then.. Then I'll be lonely." You stop, pausing.
In a split second, Sting's arms are around you. "I'll never leave you.." He holds out his pinky finger. "Promise."
"Yeah.. Promise." You repeat, smiling.

"..Long time no see, huh?"
"(Y-Y/N).." The light dragon slayer bit his lip in happiness and disbelief.
"It's been a long seven or eight years, huh?" You say, trying you best not to cry and run into their arms.
Rogue is the first to run. He envelops you in his arms, and sighs contentedly. "Too long. These seven years have been too long, (Y/N)."
You pull away, looking at Sting who's standing there with a few tears that had already fallen. You run into his arms, and he whirls you around. You bury your face in his chest, letting the tears fall free. He lifts you chip up, and what he does next...
He crashes his lips onto yours. Seconds later, you realize what he did.
You got a kiss from Sting Eucliffe.[3]'

Your eyes open, and there's no one there. No arms to surround you, no shoulder to cry on..
No Sting.
You stand up, picking up where you left off, you rush to your apartment, and write two quick notes, to the guild, and to him. In a hurry, you pack a bag, grab your stock of Jewel, and drop the letters off at the guild.

It's been a few hours now, and you've stopped by a hostel. (free place for wandering travelers)
As the sun makes its descent, you shower, and make yourself comfortable in the cot-like beds provided. Staring at a small picture, you sigh..
"I guess you weren't the right guy... We promised, but yet..."
