Part 12 pain
"It's time for your punishment dear Joey."
He smirked widely towards the blond and the blond just closed his eyes....
"Take me"
The blond said and felt tears run down his cheeks
He didn't care what the tall man would do to him anymore...
He didn't care if he would die from this or just be in pain...
But...
Why was he crying?
He wanted to die...
He wanted to be free from all this but he still cried...
Why...
Was he broken?...
Had he finally giving up on everything?
Pfft...
No...
Joey wasn't a quitter...
No...
He would always fight until the end!
And the end wasn't today for him!
Zero flicked his own nose as he got annoyed by joeys now angered face expression.
Zero wanted to see him cry
He wanted to see him beg for mercy
"After all this...
You still fight to live?"
Joey nodded a bit and struggled to get the rope of his arms and legs but it was to no use.
The ropes was tightly around his wrists and hurt like hell
"Lemme go you bastard!"
Joey spit right on the tall mans face...
Big mistake...
The white haired man wiped off the spit from his face with his hand and licked it off
"Tasty~"
He said in a seductive but freaky voice and hold the whip up in the air.
"But puppies aren't supposed to spit on their master. It's the other way around.."
"Aren't I right about that puppy~?"
Joey opened his mouth to talk but he didn't had the time to speak before he felt a strong pain on his arm.
He yelped out in pain and shut his eyes...
"S-stop!!"
Joey said and tried his hardest not to start crying.
Zero just laughed and hold up the whip again
"No way... I'll punish you for your mistakes"
He whipped him again but this time even harder.
This feeling...
It's something he's used to...
It's something that he had experienced before...
But where did he first experience it?
Ah...
10 years ago, after that amazing day at the beach...
Joey was unconscious when his mom left together with his sister.
He remembers a gentle kiss on his cheek...
But who kissed him?
Was it his mom?....
No
Was it his dad?...
Never...
Serenity?...
Serenity....
~flashback~
"Joey! Hurry up! I wanna see the ocean as much as we possibly could!"
"Aweriight, aweriight Serenity we're going now, but you have to be quiet, or else mom and dad will find out and if they do... We won't be able to go.."
Serenity quickly put her small hands in front of her mouth and nodded eagerly
"Oh! Ok!"
She said and smiled adorably.
Joey smiled back and put his hand on top of her head and ruffled it a bit
"Let's go then"
He slowly opened the door and stepped out from his room.
As fast as the both did that, the small girl grabbed on to his big bros arm and shut her eyes hard.
Serenity absolutely hated the sound of their mother and father fighting and screaming towards each other.
She always started to cry whenever they did, but Joey always managed to make her stop from crying and always made her smile.
Joey was used to the screams and fights.
He didn't like it at all but...
What could he do?
Joey was actually really scared of his father.
He always threatened to hit or even kill Joey, so he tried his best to avoid him.
His mom always used to take the hit for Joey, but now a days, she doesn't seem to care at all about Joey, so she just let it happen.
Joeys father, had only hit him a few times on the cheek but he knew that if he does one mistake he would be punished for life...
And he also knew that it would be more then just a few hits on the cheek...
Despite being scared, he stayed strong for his little sister and kept walking towards the front door.
He slowly pulled down the handle and just as slow opened the door.
Both of them walked outside into the freedom and closer the door.
They both giggled and hold hands as they run to the closest bus stop.
Joey boughed two tickets and got into the bus.
He had saved up the money he had earned from selling newspapers, just to buy the biggest lollipop he had ever seen, but this was definitely so much better...
If his sister was happy... Then Joey would be 10 times happier...
After half an out they finally arrived to the beach
Joey looked over to his little sister and could see her eyes sparkle just like the ocean
"Joey look! The ocean is covered in sparkles!!"
She run to get closer to the water but was just on the edge to touch the water.
She scooped the water up with her hands and looked at it.
"It doesn't sparkle anymore big brother..."
Joey chuckled and sat down beside her
"That's weird..."
He said and looked at the ocean
"Maybe the water needs its friends to be happy..."
Joey looked at his little sister and was a bit confused of what she just said and asked
"What do you mean by that Serenity?"
"Well... It's like you and me, big brother... When I'm with you, I feel like explaining out of joy! But when I'm alone, the joy is all gone and seemed like it never existed..."
Joey was still confused from what his sister was trying to say but just shrugged and smiled
"Let's build a sand castle together!"
"Oh big brother! Can we really??"
"Of corse we can sis! We will build the perfect sand castle! And when we grow up I'll build a real castle for us both to live in!"
Serenitys eyes was now sparkling again from all the joy inside her and sat down on the sand
"Ok big brother! I believe in you!"
Joey smiled back and turned his body towards her and started to build the sandcastle...
After some minutes they were finally done
"It's so beautiful big brother!"
"Of corse it is Serenity! We build it together, so it haves to be perfect!"
She giggled and nodded
"Sis... It's time to go home now"
Joey said with a low and sad voice
"B-but.. But I don't wanna go home! I wanna stay here with you! I don't wanna hear mom and dad fight! Please Joey! Can't we stay here a bit longer? Pleeeasesseee"
Joey sighed and smiled a bit
"Ok sis... But we have to go before it gets pitch black outside"
She nodded and continued to fix some details onto the sand castle...
After an hour of having fun, it was starting to get dark outside.
"Sis... It's time to leave now"
"Ok big bro! But before we go"
She hold out her pinky and looked serious into joeys eyes.
"pinky promise that we will come here again!"
He smiled and nodded as he wrapped his pinky around hers
"I promise..."
After half an hour they were on their street on their way home.
It was pitch black outside...
Some minutes passed by and Serenity carelessly opened the door.
The door was old and made enough sound to make their parents stop fighting and walked towards the door
"Serenity! You're ok!"
Their mom run and hugged her. She let go of serenity after some seconds of embrace
"You!"
Joeys mom yelled and slapped Joey across the face
"M-mom don't hurt him!"
Serenity cried out and hugged her moms arm
"Serenity you could've gotten hurt because of this monster!"
"No mom! You don't understand! It was my fault! It was my idea to go to the beach!"
"You took her to the beach without saying anything!?"
Their father stormed inside and grabbed Joey by the collar and lifted him up then throw him down to the ground
"I know you were pathetic, but I didn't know you were this dumb!"
He kicked Joey right on his chest.
Joey gasped out and hold his chest as he was twitching in pain.
He teared up and tried his hardest not to cry, but it was to much for the little boy and he bursts out crying.
"DON'T YOU DARE DROP THOSE FAKE PUPPY TEARS ON TO MY CARPET!"
He kicked Joey again, but this time on the arm.
He heard s crack sound and it hurt even more now so he just kept crying
"I SAID STOP CRYING!"
"N-NOOO! STOP IT PLEASE DADDY! IT WAS MY FAULT!"
Serenity got hit on the cheek by her mom
"Don't lie to protect your brother serenity!"
Serenity was crying and looked at his brother, that was on the ground getting beaten up by their father.
Their mom grabbed on to Serenitys arm and pulled her into another room then locked the door.
She started to bang against the door and screamed out to make them open the door, but it was to no use...
"Please leave him alone! He's innocent! It's my fault!"
She kept yelling until she couldn't yell anymore...
Joey heard the crying from Serenity's room...
He heard the sound of the screams...
He was aware of everything...
But...
He couldn't move...
He gazed into his fathers eyes exhausted from all the pain inflicted to his small body...
His father glared back into his eyes and took of his belt...
He hold up the belt
And there it was....
The pain again...
He smiled softly
"I promise to take you to the beach again serenity..."
He said with a weak voice and closed his eyes...

It was quiet now..
No screams...
No crying...
The only thing that was still there was...
.....
The pain...
.....
It was quiet for hours...
He decided to opened up his eyes...
He did and looked around
He couldn't see anything....
It was dizzy wherever he looked..
but he tried to focus as hard as he could to see where he was...
A warm hand touched joeys cheek
"Joey... You're finally awake..."
Seto...
