I know it's short and sweet. Heck I even almost cried while writing this since I've been through this with a parent.
But I've been busy with school (exams are getting crazy) that I'm just happy I managed to get something out for you guys. Even if it might be horrible.

*~ Ross' P.O.V ~*
I stood there and waited for him. The airport was crowded from the many families and friends that waited for the men and women who came back from the war. Children waited anxiously to see their moms and dads, as did their mothers or fathers. My heart was racing, my knees were buckling, just from pure nervousness.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned to see Adam with Alesa and baby Mason at my side. Adam spoke kindly, they and everyone else had let me stay with them so I wouldn't be alone.
"Don't worry he's gonna be fine."
"I-I hope so." I replied quietly not trusting my voice
I felt like an egg ready to crack from the wait. So many nights have I spent having nightmares, since I got the letter. The one that said he was captured by the enemy, during the high point in the war. I cried. But I had faith. He was strong and he'd do anything to see me again. Just like in those countless letters he sent me, before that one letter. The last letter he sent to me I held it close to my chest. Close to my heart.
"Welcome home!" Everyone shouted as countless marines got off the plane.
Everyone was crying and cheering. Children cried the most since they finally got to see their moms and dads. But I didn't. I stood there and waited for him to get off the plane. And he didn't.
I felt a sting in my heart as my head hung low. Was he truly gone? Did they kill him? So many questions filled my head as I closed my eyes. I could feel the others trying to get my attention, but I couldn't hear them. I felt myself breaking. I didn't want him to be gone. I didn't want the letter to be true! I didn't want this to happen! I didn't want him to leave! He was my world. The one that kept me grounded. The one that kept me together. Why did this have to happen to me!?
Adam shook my shoulders enough to look at him. "Ross, I-."
"No! Don't talk to me!" I yelled at him, "Don't touch me!"
"Ross-."
"You didn't lose anyone Adam! Your fiancé didn't go to war! You never got the letter! You didn't have nightmares every single damn night! YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE PAIN!" I yelled in anger. He didn't know what it was like! He still had a family. His was still together. I was the one that was left alone! I lost my world!
Hot tears rolled down my cheeks as I clutched my eyes together.
"Why are you crying?" A soft voice asked and a pair of strong arms wrapped around me, "Please don't cry, Ross."
I opened my eyes and looked up to who I was waiting for. He looked so different. His ginger hair a mess, his beard a little wild, healing cuts all over his face. But his eyes never changed. They were filled with determination and love. I just cried even harder. This time out of longing and happiness. My arms wrapped around his neck as I jumped into his embrace. He pulled away and kissed me. For 3 years I've been waiting for this kiss. For 3 long years. And damn did it feel as good as ever.
Parting again I hugged him tightly, "I'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH! I THOUGHT I LOST YOU! I THOUGHT I'D NEVER SEE YOU AGAIN!" I muffled into his neck as I cried even harder
"I've missed you too, babe." Max mumbled as he rubbed circles on my back to sooth me.
"I-I got t-that l-l-letter s-s-saying yo-you w-we-went m-missing." I told him shaken from the crying that got stuck in my throat.
"It was only for a little while. Besides I escaped because I wanted to get back to you. They never managed to break me, but they did take something." He replied as he looked down. I did too and saw that he had a leg missing.
I looked at him and said truthfully, "As long as you're still here, I'm happy no matter what."
He smiled at me and kissed me one more time. We could hear cameras being snapped and cheering around us. I couldn't have cared less. I was just happy to see him again. For him to be here with me. . .
Max whispered to me, ". . . And I'm never leaving you again."
