Derek's POV
Seeing nancy fainting in my arms made me worried even more.
The other doctors took nancy for examination.
Immediately I turned toward the doctor
"What happened doc?" I asked.
"Mr. West, I am Dr. Grant and yes before I could tell anything to her, she fainted. If I am not wrong it was because of to too much stress"
He paused and continues "Mr. Stewart is out of danger and also conscious. You can meet him" he smiled.
Instantly I asked "And Mrs. Stewart?"
He said "She is out of surgery, hopefully she will be ohk, we had to repair a tear in her heart apart from other damages but now we are waiting for her to wake up"
I nodded and he left.
It was then that I realised I was imagining things because after seeing nancy faint I thought that doctor said both her parents were dead, which was definetly more shocking than my and nan's kiss.
Hopefully that was not the case and both of them are going to be ok.
I was engrossed in my thoughts when nurse came and told me that nancy is now conscious and awake.
I went to her bed an as soon as she see me she asks
"How are my parents?"
She tried getting of the bed
"Nancy, you are weak you need to rest" I said
"And there is good news" I continued "Your dad is awake and you can meet him and your mom is out of surgery, she will be awake soon. They are ok"
Hearing this she let out a breath which seemed as if she was holding on for long time. Ofcourse it was the relief.
"Oh, thank god and these doctors" she said.
"Yeah nan" I smlied.
"Do me one more favour derek" she said with those pleading and beautiful eyes. Oh no what am I thinking, beautiful ! Seriously ! I need to stop.
"Yes" I replied.
"Please take me to my father. I want to meet him" she said.
"Ok nan hold my hand you are too weak nan" I helped her.
"Oh shut up derek, I am not a small child and I am feeling ok now" she snapped at me.
"Well then I will not take you"
"Ohk fine, give me your hand"
I helped her stand up and then took her to her dad's room. This much closeness with her was killing me, because I was near her but I can't be any more nearer to her. Well I just need to stop thinking like that.
As we got to his room, I helped nan sit and waved her dad a gentle hello and left the room giving them privacy to talk to each other.
As soon as I came out of room, I checked my phone.
Hannah texted me back
'Its ok derek. Call soon. Love you XOXO'
I called her but instantly cancelled it, what am I suppose to tell her about my and nancy's kiss.
Should I or should I not tell her?!
It was a difficult question. I don't want to lie to hannah about anything. She is a sweetheart.
And secondly what my and nancy's kiss meant is unknown yet. What am I even gono tell hannnah...
'Hey babe, I kissed nancy and I dont know why'
Ofcourse no. I can not tell her about the kiss, and even if I want to I certainly can't tell her before I talk to nan about that.
So I finally decided not to tell her about that part and skip that for a while.
Ring ring ring...
She picked up at third ring...
"Ohh thankgod you called derek, I have been really worried" she said.
"I am so sorry baby, really very sorry. I know it was supposed to be our best time and..."
She cut me mid sentence "Its Ok baby, you don't need to apologize"
"Thankyou" I replied calmly.
"Welcome" she said back.
"Yes baby, by the way the thing was yesterday I got to know that nancy's parents were in a bad accident and since lucas or mel are not in town, I thought it would be nice if I bring her here in lexington to her parents"
"Oh my god!! Is Ellla and Mr. Stewart ok?" She asked worried.
She also grew up here with nancy, so probably she knew her parents also very well.
"Yeah honey, just the doctor informed that they both are out of danger now" I said.
"Ohh thank god" she said.
I heard the Doctor calling me, so I nodded and said to hannah..
"Hey baby, got to go, I'll update you soon. No need to worry now. Bye bye love you.."
I heard her say "I love you too" and I hang up the phone.
The doctor informed me that both her parents are to be kept under observation and in this hospital for a week or so.
I thanked him for everything. After he left I made my way to the waiting room and sat there on sofa, and it seemed as if I slept.
Nancy's POV
I was so happy that both my parents are ok now. After talking to my dad and I waiting for my mom to be awake, I also talked to her and then to the Doctors.
They said that someone will be needed to take care of my parents at home because once they discharge them they need to be taken care of.
I soon thought it would be good if I just come down here to stay with my parents at my home.
It was ofcourse going to be difficult on my studies but I can have someone teach me later on.
Plus the other thing was that I needed to take my mind off my and derek's kiss and the best way is to be away from him for a while.
So I was firm now that I am going to be staying here in Lexington for a month atleast, till my parents are completely ok.
It was around 2 in the noon and I was craving for some sort of food. Also I haven't noticed Derek since morning.
I asked nurse and she told me to go see in waiting room.
There he was asleep on a couch like a baby. He seemed really sweet while sleeping.
I sat besides him and ran my hand through his hair, with no idea that he will wake up.
As soon as he was opened his eyes
I apologized "Hey so sorry, didn't want to wake you up"
"Oh no, no problem at all" he replied.
I told him everything about what I plan to do and my idea to stay her for a few more days.
He agreed and also said that he will help me study and will come to visit me once a week.
I had no intension to talk to him about the kiss. It is like erased from my memory.
After a lot of convincing I finally made him go back to his place. He promised to come and see me soon.
Also he told me to give regards to my parents from hannah's side.
So around 5 he left.
With him gone, I did felt alone for a while but then I called Mel.
Mel was too worried, she said she will just leave and come by but I even convinced her not to come at present and that everything is ok and so she should enjoy with her partner.
I did the same with lucas. So now everyone know that I am going to stay here only with my parents for a while.
Later that day I went home and it was so good to be back home. My old room an lots of memories related to it flooded my mind and heart.
I took a quick shower got dressed and went back to the hospital.
