Caitlin's P.O.V

I took a seat next to Liz, who was giggling at the show that was being played on the TV. Tonight was the night before our very first concert and we were all nervous. We've never played at an actual concert and having it be so close to right now, was insane. I was so excited to perform. Although it wasn't our actual concert just yet, I felt like it was. I felt like it was our time to shine. We've been signed and now we are going to show why we are signed.

The girls were nervous as well and to keep our nerves at bay, we decided on staying in tonight and having a girls night. We've popped popcorn, painted our nails and toenails, and did each other's hair- aside from Julie, until Liz did her pouty face. That was when Julie let us do her hair.

But now we were watching TV, one of the stupid shows that play at night. It was nearing eleven, so the adult shows were starting to play. Which I didn't mind, being that I turned twenty last month. I smiled at the memories that night brought me. Being that we were still adjusting to London, we stayed in and ate until we couldn't. It was probably the best birthday I've ever had, being that it was so relaxed. Normally my birthdays were stressful because of my mother, but she wasn't there.

"So," Julie spoke up, breaking my thoughts apart. "I was thinking about something and I wanted to run it by you." She said, leaning against the couch and pulling her feet up with her.

"What?" I asked, digging my hand through the bowl of popcorn that was on my lap.

"When we were on the X Factor, we didn't have that much choreography. I don't think that we should follow Melody's dance routine. It's not us." She said.

"So what are you suggesting? That we blow off what we were told to do?" Liz asked from her spot on the floor.

"It wouldn't be the first time," I pointed out. "I think we should. We can follow it a little bit but I mean, it really isn't us." I said.

Julie nodded her head in agreement as Liz spoke. "I'm down with it, but if we get in trouble with Nathan and George, I'm saying you threatened me." She said.

"Oh, relax. You won't." Julie laughed, throwing a throw pillow at her. It was really living up to its name.

The room grew quiet again, all of us putting our focus onto the TV show. It was then that my thoughts drifted to how different our lives are now. Just a few months ago, we were on the X Factor. I smiled at the memory, thinking of all the things we would do with the other contestants. It was always a lot of fun with them, which reminded me that I needed to text Jade.

My thoughts then drifted to how much I loved our lives here in London. I loved the fact that I was getting countless tweets about how much people loved me. I loved that celebrities were tweeting about Jay Cee El and saying how much they couldn't wait for a single. And I loved working on an album. We've really only got one song done, but it's going great and I can't wait to actually record it. I thought about how much happier Julie and Liz was. Liz was ecstatic to be living her dream and dating the guy she's had a celebrity crush on for the past year- or something like that.

I wasn't sure what Julie was up to, to be honest. I know that she's happy to be here, and happy to be away from Colorado and the shithole she described it as, but I wasn't sure exactly what she was up to. I know that she's been talking to Harry quite a lot. They are almost always texting, but I don't know what is going on between them. I'm sure that Liz can find out from Niall, but I don't want to bring it up to Liz until I know that Julie is feeling things. Until now, I just had to wait and see how it goes.

The only sound that I could focus on was the crowd cheering. My nerves for tonight disappeared as the concert came closer and closer, until it was finally time for us to go on stage. We were all dressed up in the outfits that we had picked a few days ago, ready to go out on stage. I could hear the intro music begin to play, the one that Dylan had set up over the past few weeks. It would show pictures of the girls and I, pixilated while a catchy tempo was playing. As we were about to go out on stage, the pixilated pictures would disperse and live video tapes would be playing on the big screen.

The crowd screamed louder and Julie got her cue to start the song, despite the fact that we were standing in front of the screen that would slide open for the three of us. I glanced at Julie, watching as she sang, her voice echoing. "Love is like a bomb, bomb, bomb." She sang. "Love is like a bomb, bomb, bomb. I'm hot..."

I looked over at Liz, who was playing the guitar. The doors slide open and we were let out onto the dark stage. I took the first step, the girls following behind me. The crowd screamed insanely loud and I smiled, looking around the huge arena that we were playing in. The actual song began to play and the lights kicked in, causing more screams.

Flashes were going off everywhere and I was distracted while looking out into the crowd. I stood by the edge of the stage, looking out in the audience with fascination written across my face. Breaking away from the huge arena, I looked at Julie. She was standing center stage, with the Liz and I on her sides. Liz was just a few feet away from Julie, focusing on the guitar that she was playing.

"Love is like a bomb, baby, c'mon get it on. Livin' like a lover with a radar phone. Lookin' like a tramp, like a video vamp. Demolition man, can I be your girl?" Julie sang, Liz doing the echoes into the headset.

"Razzle 'n' a dazzle 'n' a flash a little light. Television lover, baby, go all night. Sometime, anytime, sugar me sweet. Little miss ah-innocent sugar me, yeah." I sang, noticing how the crowd screamed louder when one of us sang.

"C'mon." Julie sang again. "Take a bottle, shake it up. Break the bubble, break it up." She sang.

"Pour some sugar on me." Liz sang, the crowd screaming louder.

"Ooh, in the name of love." Julie and I sang.

"Pour some sugar on me." The blonde girl sang again.

"C'mon, fire me up." We echoed.

"Pour your sugar on me." Liz sang, still playing the guitar amazingly.

"Oh, I can't get enough." Julie and I sang back.

"I'm hot, sticky sweet. From my head, to my feet, yeah." Liz sang.

"Listen!" I sang, walking towards the middle of the stage. "Red light, yellow light, green-a-light go! Crazy little man in one girl show. Mirror king, mannequin, rhythm of love. Sweet dream, saccharine, loosen up." I sang, moving back to let Liz take the middle of the stage. I walked towards the sides, stretching my hands out to touch the fans in the crowd.

"You gotta squeeze a little, squeeze a little, tease a little more. Easy operator come a-knockin' on my doo-o-or. Sometime, anytime, sugar me sweet. Little miss innocent sugar me, yeah, yeah. Give a little more. Take a bottle, shake it up. Break the buddle, break it up." She sang perfectly.

We went back into the chorus, falling into the same order that we did the last time. Julie finished the chorus up this time, though, and Liz launched into the guitar solo that followed the chorus. I watched in awe as she walked along the edge of the stage, playing the complex instrument so easily. I honestly have no idea how she could play the guitar so amazingly, I could never learn.

As soon as her guitar solo ended, Julie started to sing. "You got the peaches, I got the cream. Sweet to taste, saccharine. 'Cause I'm hot, say what, sticky sweet. From my heat, my head, to my feet." She sang.

"Do you take sugar? One lump or two?" I sang, holding the note out, hanging my head back as Liz sang the next part.

"Take a bottle, shake it up. Break the buddle, break it up." She sang.

We fell back into the chorus, Julie and Liz singing every line together as I backed them up with my vocals. The song came to a slow end and the girls and I finished the song up as best as we could. It ended up ending perfectly though, and I let out a breath of air. I felt like I couldn't breathe in this enormous arena. I couldn't believe that we just sang an entire song in an arena. I couldn't believe that this is my life.

It seemed to me that Julie felt the exact same way, because she was quick to start talking. "Wow... this is amazing. And to think, just a few weeks ago we were on the X Factor. How many of you saw us on the show?" She asked. The crowd cheered as a response and she laughed. "Great, great. Then you'll know we don't follow what we are supposed to." She said.

"We're new to this," I picked up, "So please bare with us. We were told how to move through the concert but I wasn't listening, neither was Julie, and Liz was on her blog." I said. At the mention of the blondes blog, the crowd cheered and Liz laughed.

"Glad to see that I've got some followers here. There'll be exclusive pictures later tonight. Now I guess that we have to introduce the next song, which is another cover. We don't have any songs out right now, but you know that. I mean obviously you do, after all some of you are fans. At least I hope. I'm not saying that you have to be fans of us, I respect your decision but I won-"

"Lizzie, why don't you stop rambling and we sing You and Your Hand?" I asked, laughing along with the crowd. "I promise you guys, this wasn't scripted. Liz is just an idiot that rambles." I said.

"Shut up. This is You and Your Hand everybody!"

"This has been so, so, so amazing. I wish we could stay and perform forever but we've got to go." Liz said into her headset. The crowd cheered as a response, just like every other time. I was standing at the edge of the stage, looking at all the people in the audience. So many of them were calling my name and it blew me away that so many people knew who I am. I still feel like I'm just Caitlin West from New York- nothing special.

"And we cannot wait until tomorrow. How many of you will be back tomorrow night?" Julie asked, the crowd cheering. "Great, great. Can't wait to see you all tomorrow night. And now to finish it up, we'll be singing a personal favorite of mine and the one song that brought us here today. Just The Way You Are everyone!"

<><>

"I cannot believe that we just did that. I feel so much more pumped than I was on the X Factor." I said as we began to remove our microphones, headsets, and whatever things that we didn't need on anymore. The high from performing on stage was so surreal and I couldn't stop myself from moving around.

"I know, that was fucking insane. I cannot wait until tomorrow." Julie said, her usual sailor mouth.

"Girls, girls. Can we go out and watch the concert? In the space between the fans and the stage? Please, I missed One Direction's performance on the X Factor and I've never seen them live. Plus I want to watch Five Seconds of Summer." Liz asked.

"Yeah," I nodded, wanting to keep this energy up. I didn't want it to go away just yet- I was enjoying it too much. "Let's go then. Jules, you coming?" I asked the brunette.

"Hell yeah." She replied.

<><>

Five Seconds Of Summer were so amazing, it was hard to believe that they were just recently discovered by Louis. I didn't know too much about them, so as they were performing, Liz filled me in on what I didn't know. It seemed pretty amazing that they were discovered like that and already have such a popularity. It almost reminded me of the way that our popularity sky rocketed during the X Factor.

Having been standing in between the stage and the chairs, there were many people that were calling our names. It was so weird for people to be asking for autographs and pictures, but I went along with it. I wondered if I would ever get used to it.

Liz grabbed my arm, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked over at the blonde, who was nearly bouncing up and down. The lights had dimmed and the boys were going to be going on in just a few seconds. The opening video was playing on the screen and I laughed along with everyone else at the ridiculous video that was playing. Liz was still jumping up and down in excitement, and I was glad to be with her during her first One Direction concert.

"I can't believe that I'm here!" Liz squealed, almost forgetting that we've opened for them. "This is so exciting. When are they coming on?" She asked.

"At the end of the video?" I asked. "I don't know, I've never been to a One Direction concert." I laughed.

Liz laughed, though I couldn't hear it. She turned to face the stage, screaming along with all the other fans. I found myself getting into it as well, so when the boys finally did come on, I was screaming along with all the fans. Liz grabbed my hand, tugging my arm in al different directions.

"Oh my God, they're here, they're here." She said.

"Lizzie you saw them fifteen minutes ago." Julie laughed.

"I don't care, they're here." She said, still jumping up and down. I laughed at her fangirl side before looking at the stage, just as they began to sing their opening song. I'm not a fan of them, so I didn't know exactly what song they were singing. Something about staying up all night? Liz would know better than I do.

As their first song came to an end, they began to introduce the Take Me Home tour at the O2 Arena, and the screams seemed as if they could make someone go deaf. But I just added to the screams and danced along to the song they performed next.
