Caitlin's P.O.V

"So we are going to be having auditions for the band. After all, you girls are going to need someone to play the music. I'll set those up for the ninth and hopefully with the help of social media, the world will spread. But for now, I want you girls to relax and get adjusted to London. If you go out, please be cautious. The security guards will only be around when you are working, as in meetings, recordings, things like that. But for now, they won't be needed if you... I don't know, need to run to the grocery store." Simon continued with his talking.

"And lastly, aside from taking it easy, I just need you girls to spread the word that a single is coming and that you're in London. I want the news of Jay Cee El working to be everywhere. Do you think you can handle that?" Simon asked.

"Of course, that'll be easy." Julie said.

"Great. I think that's everything. I suggest exchanging numbers now because Dylan will need to contact you girls quite often." Simon said.

The packed room all began to get ready to leave, but not before phones were passed around and everyone had everyone's numbers. When I finally got my phone back, the girls and I were ushered out of Simon's office and out of the building.

The cold winter air hit me in the face and I sighed, crossing my arms as I wished for the L.A weather. The security assigned the keep an eye on me and the hassle I'll be bringing him, had his hands on the small of my back and he was guiding me towards the black car that would take us back to our apartment building.

It was then when Mark had told me to keep my head down, and I heard the familiar clicks of a camera going off. "I don't understand, we don't even have a single out nor have we ever.... did anything! Why are people taking our picture?" I asked him.

"Because you're new to the Syco company. You've just won the X Factor and Jay Cee El hasn't had a public appearance since you won. Everybody wants to check out the new girls. It'll simmer down in a few days, two weeks tops." Mark explained.

I nodded my head in understanding as we finally got to the car. Mark opened the door and helped me into the car. I sat down in the backseat, Liz sitting next to me. Julie sat in front of the me and the three security guards filled the empty seats. Liz's security guard, Justin, was driving. Mine was sitting across from Julie, and Julie's security guard Jack, was sitting in the passenger seat. Which should be the driver's seat but England's fucked up.

The car was started and we were soon pulling out onto the street. It was then that Liz turned to look at me. "We have no food at our apartment. We're going to have to go shopping tomorrow or something." She said.

"Okay, but don't we have to surprise Niall with your presence?" I asked.

"I already spoke to Liam about it this morning. He's having a 'get together' at his apartment tomorrow night and we are going, by the way." Liz said.

I nodded my head, "Hanging out with people that are hot. I'm fine with that."

<><>

I yawned as I rubbed the back of my head, chills running down my spine. I shivered as I crossed my arms, looking towards Liz. She was walking right next to me, shivering in the cold weather as well. Now would've been a great time to have a car. But being that we didn't have a car to drive and I still wasn't sure how getting a license in the UK works.

It was only nine in the morning and jet lag was a killer, but we really needed to get our food shopping down. Which is why Liz had dragged me out of bed early this morning to get it down. Julie would be getting a cab when we call her, to come help us bring everything back to our apartment.

"You know," Liz spoke up, her teeth chattering. "This is our first time going grocery shopping together. This is a huge step. I'm not sure if I'm ready to commit." She said.

"Shut up," I laughed, shoving her arm. "It's not like we're going to the moon. Now come on, I googled the store and it should be down the road a little ways." I said.

Liz only nodded, shoving her hands in the pockets of her coat. We walked to the store in silence, listening to the sounds of the city around us. London seemed amazing and I couldn't wait to really explore the area, but it was also the coldest month. Not to mention it was supposed to rain today, or snow rather. We just had to get to the store before it starts raining and we should be fine.

Luckily we did get to the store before it started raining, and the small grocery store seemed colder inside than out. I grabbed one of the wagons, or trolley as someone called it, and started walking alongside of Liz. She was looking down at the piece of paper, looking over the things that we needed. Which was a lot. Although our apartment came furnished, we needed the basics such as food, toilet paper, and a few other things such as a blender. Apparently Julie likes smoothies.

"I think that we're going to need a second wagon." Liz sighed, "This is going to cost a lot of money. How much do you have in your bank account?" She asked.

"...um, I'm not exactly sure. A couple thousand? My parents set up a bank account here for me so I'm not totally sure." I said, shrugging my shoulders.

"Lucky," She glared at me. "My dad said that I have to learn how to do things myself now, it took forever. I have about four thousand in it I think. I did in America, I'm not sure how much I have in Euros. Which is so weird, I don't understand how it works." Liz said.

"Neither do I. So I think that we should just to the easiest thing." I said.

"Call Dylan?" She asked.

"No, go with the flow. Now come on, if I don't have pop tarts in my house than I will flip." I said.

Liz nodded and followed me in the direction that I was walking in. "Wait, do they sell pop tarts here?

<><>

"I don't know about this." Liz said, "There's a girl watching and we really need to get our shopping done." Liz said.

"Oh come on, it won't be bad. I just want to show the fans our first shopping trip. Now hold on." I said, turning on my camera and aiming it at Liz, who was kneeling in the shopping cart. She looked back at me with a worried expression and I laughed, aiming the camera at her. "Welcome to the adventures of shopping with Caitlin. We are here at this wonderful store and we want to see how fast we can get this thing going. So let's see." I said, grabbing onto the handlebars of the cart.

"Caitlin I don't know about th-" Liz said before I cut her off.

"Go!" I said, pushing the cart. It was hard to manage the cart and the phone at the same time, all while trying to run. Unfortunately for me, I lost the grip on my phone as I ran. I let go of the cart and caught my phone before it fell.

"I got it." I yelled happily, thankful for not having dropped my phone and cracking the screen.

"Caitlin!" Liz screamed. I looked up and my eyes widened as Liz was rolling down the aisle at the fast pace. I quickly aimed the camera at her. She was going to crash into something and I wanted to get this on film. I started to run towards her, trying to get the best angle.

"Caitlin, oh my God." Liz yelled as the cart crashed into a huge set up of paper towel rolls. The cart toppled over along with hundreds of paper towels and I couldn't help but laugh loudly. Wishing that Julie had been here to see this- she was too lazy to come-, I walked towards the mess that Liz created.

"Lizzie, are you okay?" I asked, bending down and pointing the camera towards Liz. She was kneeling on the side of the shopping cart, her hair falling into a mess around her head. She pulled her hair back and glared at me.

"I am never going shopping with you again." Liz said.

I laughed as I saw someone step up to us out of the corner of my eye. The sound of someone clearing their throat caused me to look up. An employee that looked younger than us was staring down at us, his expression unreadable as he looked at the mess around us.

His eyes closed before he opened them, shaking his head. "I just set those up."

<><>

"Again, I'm really sorry about all this. I promise, it won't happen again." Dylan said as he stood up from the chair. The employee ratted us out to his boss, and we had to call Dylan to keep us from getting into trouble. Luckily for us nothing too bad happened, just that we were asked to not play on the shopping carts. I felt bad for dragging Dylan all the way down, as well as Julie- who was not happy about it. Though Liz was a panicky mess and wouldn't quit until I called Dylan and Julie.

The manager of the store nodded and the four of us walked out of the office. I let out a breath of air once the door was shut. Feeling someone staring at me, I looked up at cringed at the glare that Liz was sending my way. "Shopping. We came to go food shopping and you almost broke me, got us kicked out, and we could've been arrested." She said.

"We would not have been arrested. Besides, it has over ten thousand likes on Instagram." I said, crossing my arms.

"You posted it?" Dylan asked and I nodded. "Can I see it?" He asked then.

I laughed loudly and nodded my head, pulling out my phone and quickly getting to the video that was up on Instagram. I handed it to Dylan and watched as he played it, laughing as the recorded sound of Liz screaming played out. The Liz next to me sighed and shook her head, callin me immature. I shrugged of her poor insult and took my phone back as Dylan handed it to me.

"So now that you've made my first official day managing you girls something... special, how about I take you girls back to your flat?" Dylan asked.

"Um, well actually, we really have to do some shopping. And we don't really know how to um, it's different here. Like I don't understand how to pay. Can you stay?" I asked, biting my lip.

"You're lucky that I don't have a life." Dylan replied, "But I'm pushing the trolley."

<><>

I pushed the door open with my foot and walked into the apartment, carrying the plastic bags of food in my hand. We finally managed to get our shopping done with the help of Dylan, and it was a good thing that he was there because I could not figure out how many notes to give the cashier. Honestly the whole Euro thing is confusing. Which reminds me, they don't use the Euro system. I thought that they did, hell I thought that the whole pounds thing was part of the Euros. But I guess I was wrong. Thank God that he was there to help.

"Okay, whose idea was it to give me the bags with the gallon of milk and three bottles of soda. I'm not strong at all." Julie complained as she set the bag down on the counter of our kitchen.

I only laughed and left the apartment, back towards the elevator where Liz was guarding the rest of our stuff. To my surprise, she wasn't there and neither was the elevator. I sighed and shook my head, already knowing what happened. A second later, the doors slide open and Liz's sheepish smile appeared.

"Couldn't hold the elevator?" I asked.

"Pst, what... no." Liz said. I laughed and grabbed two more bags. Julie came out of nowhere and grabbed the last two bags, then following me towards our apartment door. I walked in, telling Liz to shut the door on her way in. I heard the door close as I set the bags down.

I looked at the time on the microwave, seeing that it was almost four o'clock in the afternoon. How had we wasted an entire day? My eyes widened as I remembered that we were supposed to go to Liam's at five today. "Hey, don't we have to leave soon?" I asked.

Liz gasped, jumping up from the stool that she was sitting in. "Oh my God, I completely forgot. Jesus Christ, I have to make myself look gorgeous and maybe he'll kiss me again. I've got to go. Oh God, what am I going to wear?" Liz said, running out of the room.

I looked at Julie and smiled slightly at the strange girl we called our best friend. Julie was the first to speak. "You're better with her sense of style, you go help her pick something out. I'll finish up here." Julie said.

"Thanks Jules, see you in a few. I'm going to try and get that ditzy girl into something that'll make Niall fall to his knees for her. Maybe a bikini will do, he seemed to stare enough when she wore that white one." I said as I walked out of the kitchen and towards her room. Julie's laughter could be heard as I pushed open the door and walked into her room.

Liz was walking around in just her bra and the jeans that she was wearing from our shopping trip. I laughed quietly and opened up her closet door, trying to find something for her to wear. "You have no stylish clothes. You should've kept the clothes that we wore during the X Factor." I said.

"I kept a few but they are summer clothes. My winter clothes are just so blah. I don't know what to wear and this is the first time we'll be seeing each other and I don't know what to do." Liz said.

"Show him your bra and he'll be hooked." I said, looking at the familiar white bra was the lace on the rims.

"Not funny Caitlin. I'm being serious. I really like Niall and I don't want him to think of me as plan or something bad like that." Liz said.

"Oh Lizzie, relax. He likes you because of you, he doesn't like you for the clothes you wear. And if he does than he's shallow and doesn't deserve you." I said, sitting down on her bed.

Liz sighed and walked to her closet. "I guess you're right. If he liked me and my simplicity, I guess he still likes it? What about this?" She asked, pulling out a long sleeved gray shirt. I shrugged and told her to put it on. She slipped it over her head and pulled it down so it covered her torso. Her curvy body easy filled the shirt and the skinny jeans made her curves look more prominent.

"Where's that black beanie that you wore yesterday?" I asked.

"On my dresser... should I wear that?" Liz asked.

"Yes, and your black uggs that you wore yesterday too. And then I think you look perfectly like Liz." I said.

"Just who I want to look like." Liz laughed, walking towards her dresser. "Should I redo my makeup? I did it after my shower this morning but how does it look?" She asked.

"You're wearing makeup?" I asked, not having noticed it.

"Right, I guess that means redoing it." She said.

"Liz," I laughed, "Calm down. I've never seen you so worked up about a boy before. You didn't stress this much about Evan." I said.

"Yeah well Evan isn't the guy I like, is he? And you should go get ready. We have to leave in like... half an hour." She said.

"Alright, alright," I raised my hands in defeat. "I'll go and get changed, you put on a new face, and then we'll go so you can get your kiss."
