Lizavet screamed. The room was drenched in the scent of blood and brimstone. Its dark walls were barely able to hold back the screams she heard. Odd volcanic lava flickered with strange blueish lightning, giving dim light to the evil contained within it.
Lizavet was on the floor.
"We have been waiting for you," the apkallu leaned over her.
Lizavet tried to scramble away.
"We were waiting for you to use your shaman powers in the world of the dead." The leader split into multiple evils, leering over her.
A shadow was suddenly silhouetted on the wall, It wore a fedora, and carried a whip and a sword. "You will not be taking prisoners today or ever again, apkallu."
"Papa!" Lizavet cried.
The apkallu hoard moved aside in shock. "That's not Dr. Jones - that's the Treasure Guardian. What's he doing back here?"
