Vera's best friend Ryder

Vera's pov
Currently me, Ryder, and Ethan were playing pool tag but don't let the name fool you the game is very complex. The runners, run around the pool and the person who is it starts out in the water for five seconds until then the runners get as far away from the person who is it in those five seconds.
And if the person who is it catches you. They get to throw you into the pool and there also it next. So right now I was being chased around the pool by Ryder who was gaining on me fast since he was in Lacrosse and was more physically active then me. Ethan thought it would be fun if both of them were against me which was totally unfair.
"Guys this is so not fair" I said while running.
"Both of you are more physically active then me and faster and it's just not fair two against one" I said while continuing to run until I bumped into Ryder who was smirking down at me.
He picked me up and threw me into the pool. Since it was currently night the pool was kind of cold but not freezing since we had pool heaters. When I emerged from the water both Ryder and Ethan were laughing there asses off.
I hopped out of the pool and pushed both into the water. Both resurface with scowls on there faces.
"Alright as fun as this has been I have to go shower and change, thanks to some people" I said while glaring at the two.
Both climbed out and followed me inside were the staff gave us clean towels that just came out if the drier so it was nice and warm on our cold bodies.
"Eleanor could you please show Ryder and Ethan the bathroom so they can take a shower. And please make sure to have clean clothes ready for them. Tell Will the head chef to have dinner ready for us preferably Pasta." I said while walking towards the stairs. I headed to my room and pulled out a maroon v-neck and another pair of black nike shorts.
I hoped into the shower and cleaned to chlorine off of me. When I was finished I dried my hair with a towel and went downstairs to see Ethan was already out of the shower.
"Wow you take fast showers" I said while siting down next to him in the living room.
"All guys do" Ethan said.
"Ryder doesn't he takes like 3 hours" I said while slightly chuckling.
"Like I said before all guys do" Ethan said while smirking, I playfully glared at him.
"Hey watch it that's my best friend your talking about" I said. He lifted his hands up as a sign of surrender I just smirked.
About 4 minutes later Ryder came down the stairs in sweat pants which hung loose on his hips and a maroon v-neck. I laughed and stood up from the couch and led both boys to the dining room were the pasta was along with soda and garlic bread and a salad for the side.
I sat down at the end on the table while Ryder sat on my right and Ethan sat on my left which had Ryder and Ethan facing each other.
"Hey Ryder did you notice something" I said.
"No what?" Ryder asked.
"We're matching" I said while poking his stomach. At the same time he went to take a drink from his soda so he ended up coughing a lot which made me laugh because of his expression.
"Are you okay" I asked while slightly giggling now. Ryder just nodded and continued eating like nothing happened.
I started eating while making conversation with Ethan and Ryder. After we finished I had the staff clean up the table while Ethan told us he had to leave.
"Hey guys I should get going its pretty late and I told my mom I was over here to do a history project so if I stay past one she's going to think I lied to her. So I better be on my way."Ethan said while walking to the front door.
"Hey Ryder go into the kitchen and start popping popcorn will you, I need to talk to Ethan" I said, Ryder ran of into the Kitchen.
"I'm totally raiding your candy stash" Ryder yelled.
"If you know what's best for you keep you'll your hands off my candy" I yelled back before turning towards Ethan.
"So what did you want to talk about" Ethan asked.
"Okay can we just start over. Today when we were working on the project and after you were pretty cool and I really don't wanna throw glares at you when I see you in the hallway while you do the same to me. So can we just be friends" I asked, Ethan sighed before talking.
"Okay, look, I want to be friends to and I was way out of line today and for that I'm sor.... I'm so... I'm sorr..." Ethan was having a difficult time saying the two words.
"Come on just say it" I urged. He left out a loud sign before looking me in the eye and saying the two words which I never thought Ethan was capable of saying.
"I'm sorry" Ethan said. I smiled and ruffled his hair until he slapped my hand away while playfully glaring at me.
"Okay well I gotta go" Ethan said while walking out the door and towards his car which was parked in front of my house which was like a freaking car park.
"Ethan wait right there, don't move" I said while Ethan stopped walking to his car and just stood there confused.
"Hey Ryder would you have a problem with a new member to the movie night club" I asked. Ryder stuck his head into the living room from the hallway.
"Sure just tell him to bring something sugary" Ryder said.
"I have tons of stuff with sugar in it" I said.
"Well there has to be some sort of fee to get into the club so he can bring something sugary" Ryder said.
"You never brought anything" I said while raising my eyebrows and placing my hands on my hips.
"I brought myself isn't that enough" Ryder asked while smirking. I just shook my head and walked out the door to where Ethan stood with a confused look on his face.
"Let's go" I said.
"Wait why are you coming" Ethan asked.
"Because I have made the amazing decision of letting you join our movie night club but the fee is you have to bring something sugary" I said. Ethan ran over to the passenger side and opened the door for me and closed it when I was fully seated.
"Why something sugary" Ethan questioned.
"Hey don't look at me Ryder made those demands" I said.
We reached Ethan's house in a matter of minutes, and it took that long because both of our properties were huge and took about a minute and a half to get to the next property.
Ethan got out of the car opened and closed the car door for me. We got the front door Ethan opened and closed the door for me again.
"ETHAN MONTGOMERY NORTHSTORM WHERE IN GOD'S NAME HAVE YOU BEEN FOR FIVE HOURS" Ethan's mom yelled while walking out of the living room with an angry expression on her face but her gaze turned into in of happiness when she saw me.
"Vera, I didn't know you were coming over, sweetie did you need something" Ethan's mom asked.
"Actually Mrs. Northstorm I did want to ask you something" I said.
"Oh darling please call me Anne" Mrs. Northstorm said. I nodded.
"Okay then Anne could Ethan come to a sleepover at my house, me and a friend of mine Ryder Collins are having a movie night and we really wanted Ethan to come" I said.
"Well if Ethan wants to" she said.
"Actually they have them every Thursday and Friday and I'm officially part of the club so it's mandatory" Ethan said to his mom who just smiled at the two of us and nodded her head while shooing us away.
"Wait the sugary thing" I said.
"Right what does he like" Ethan asked.
"Just get him a cookie he'll be fine" I said while waiting for Ethan. Before we knew it, we were pulling up in front of my house.
"Race you to the door" I yelled while running out of the car.
"Hey that's not fair you got a head start" Ethan yelled while fumbling with the car keys.
I reached the door. I threw open the door and ran into the house with Ethan hot in my heels. We finally reached the living room where Ryder was sitting in the couch with a bunch of scattered pillows and blankets on the ground.
"So what movie are we watching tonight after the vampire diaries episode" I asked while plopping down on the couch next to Ryder.
"Oh how about Saw 3" I asked the two.
"Oh hell no, that movie makes me starve myself for days on end" Ryder yelled while looking like a scared child.
"What about that Carrie movie" Ethan asked while handing the cookie to Ryder and sitting down next to me.
"Is that the movie were the cover makes the girl look like she has chocolate on her face" I asked while laughing.
"Never mind" Ethan mumbled.
"Why don't we watch scary movie" I asked. Both nodded while we all got comfortable. I got off of the couch and sat down on the ground with Ethan soon after. Ryder laid on the couch. Once we were all comfy we turned on the vampire diaries episode.
