I really can't believe this is happening (part 2.0), but I'm really so happy and thankful. I've got no words, really.
Anyway, enjoy~

ON THAT SAME EVENING~

The sun had already adopted a picturesque hue of orange, and the fluffy cumulus clouds were like cotton candies decorating the sky's ethereal landscape. Under this colorful blanket of the heavens walked a certain greenette, our very own Midoriya Izuku.

Izuku was supposed to be home at this time, but the boy had been held back at U.A. since it was his turn to stay and clean the classroom along with one of his closest friends, Tenya Iida.

That's why he was currently walking, rather hurrying back home because he knew that his mother would be awake and probably going through one of her fits by the time he reached. It was a usual stigma in his constantly improving life.

And so, Izuku, once again, opted for the shorter way home when he spotted the familiar ash-blond, spiky hair. He moved closer and realized that sitting on the bench of the park was his crush, Bakugo Katsuki, talking with his friend, Kirishima Eijiro, their backs facing the greenette.

'Should I say hi...?'

He looked around and saw that not only Bakugo, but his entire squad was present there in that park, and so, he decided against it. He even contemplated taking the other, longer way, but he needed to reach home early today.

'I'll just quietly walk by.'

Izuku decided as he began walking with silent steps. The street he was supposed to take definitely would save him time, but it ran alongside the park, and to the greenette's discomfort, Bakugo and Kirishima sat on the bench which was very close to the boundary of the park.

The only fortunate things for Izuku were the dense bushes and occasionally lined trees that were grown on the periphery of the park.

'Don't see me. Don't turn around. Please.'

Izuku prayed internally as he walked with muffled steps, seeking cover behind whatever bushes and trees came his way.

The greenette was about to peacefully walk past the duo and had absolutely no intentions of listening in on the two's conversation. Nevertheless, Izuku did hear something he shouldn't have.

"I've found my twin flame."

As soon as the words left Katsuki, Izuku, who was hiding from the blond behind the bushes, froze.

'K-Kacchan... found his twin flame...?'

The thumping of his heart was the only sound audible to the greenette as this thought repeatedly crossed his mind. He could feel a bead of sweat trace down his nape as his nervousness was reaching its apex. A thousand thoughts of doubts and insecurities were flooding him when a certain one caught his attention.

'Who...? Who is his twin flame...?'

"You can go into shock after knowing who it is."

Bakugo spoke simultaneously to Kirishima, sounding like he had just read Izuku's thoughts. Izuku's ears perked up as soon as those words fell on them, causing his heart to thump even louder. He had drowned into the bubble of anticipation much sooner than he originally should have.

Just when the greenette thought that he was desperate and ready to know who it was, the very next moment, a sudden realization hit him like lightning.

'What if... what if it's not me...?'

*THUMP*

The freckled boy's heart was practically beating in his ears, tuning out the rest of his surroundings. His breath escalated in a matter of a few seconds. The mere thought that Bakugo would not be his twin flame caused the despair in him to reach its apex.

"W- Who is it?"

The question in the voice of whom Izuku knew as Kirishima snapped the greenette out of his thoughts.

'No... I don't wanna know...'

Fearing that the name blond would take might not be his, Izuku dashed from the area, making little to no noise as he ran. The only sound he made was swallowed by the louder noises of the environment around them, leaving not even a speck of a hint about his presence for either Bakugo or Kirishima to catch on.

Izuku ran straight to his home, not giving himself the time to even breathe. A sense of déjà vu flooded his mind as he ran with the wind, not caring about the tears streaming down his face.

'Shit... shit! Not now... when I've finally got him back...'

The greenette entered his home and slammed the door shut, not caring about anything else except for the prickle of emotions cutting deep through him. The boy was afraid of the unknown truth and reluctant to part ways with Katsuki if he had to.

He rushed to his room and locked himself up in there. He slid along the door to the floor and hugged his knees as he continuously replayed that moment from earlier in his brain.

'Will he not stay with me anymore...? Of course not, he found his soulmate. Shit... what if we end up going back to the way we were? No... I don't want that...'

The greenette's body trembled as the fear rose in him just as fast as his heart rate. His puddle of insecurities at the moment, if proven true, could very well become a grave of all the feelings he had silently harbored for the blond throughout the years.

'What now...?'

He thought as he sat on the floor, momentarily forgetting that he had his mother to look after. However, he was brought out of his trance when he heard a sound of something clink across the floor from just outside his room.

"Come out, you cursed brat! Your father would've been with us if it wasn't for YOU! COME OUT!"

Izuku's mother could be heard screaming at the boy from the other side of the door as she stood right before it.

'That's right... I've to give her the medicine...'

Izuku wiped the tears that hadn't stopped yet and stood himself up using some support from the door he sat leaning against. He wobbly fetched his mother's medicines from his bedside cabinet. He treaded to the door and stood before it, breathing deeply to calm himself as his mother's words fell on his ears.

"GET OUT HERE! COME WITH ME! IZU! I'M YOUR MOTHER! YOU'LL OBEY ME!"

Inko's screaming didn't stop, ranging from hurling curses at her son to asking him to leave this world with her, as usual.

'Ok... this is it.'

The greenette sighed as he cautiously opened the door, only to be met with a sight of metal utensils littered on the floor as a result of his mother's fit, who now stood before him with her eyes, exhausted from crying tears of rage, staring at his soul.

"WHAT -"

Just when Inko was about to lash out at her son, Izuku interrupted her by quickly wrapping his hands around her, taking his sickly mother under his comforting embrace.

"Shh... I know I'm the cause of everything... I'm sorry, mom."

The greenette gently caressed his mother's head while trying to calm her down. Inko, who wasn't expecting her son to outright hug her, froze at that moment.

"Izu...?"

She managed to say as she felt her son's body tremble against her form. She stayed quiet as Izuku pulled away from the hug and looked at his mother with tired eyes, and yet there was a smile on his face. The more she gazed at him, the more guilty she felt.

"I- Izu... I- I'm sorry, I know I g- give you a hard time... a- and I just want you to be happy. I know you aren't happy, that's why I- I want you to come with me... Let's leave the world -"

Izuku took advantage of his mother's flustered speaking and popped the medicine in her mouth, simultaneously covering her mouth with his hand. Inko's eyes widened as she began protesting for her son to remove his hand so she could throw the pill out, but Izuku's hand didn't budge even in the slightest.

"Please... swallow it."

He requested, almost sounding desperate, as he looked at her with pleading eyes, causing her to still. She nodded and swallowed the pill obediently. She was clearly surprised by how devastated her son looked, and for once, she stayed quiet.

"Now, let's go back to your room."

The greenette smiled as he watched his mother nod in agreement. He removed his hand from her mouth and escorted Inko to her bedroom. He gently laid her on the bed and tucked her inside the quilt.

"Go to sleep, mom."

He caressed her head for a while to help her fall asleep. Inko, without protesting, closed her eyes and soon fell into a deep slumber. After making sure that Inko was fast asleep, the greenette stood up and went and laid beside her, unable to take his eyes off his mother's sleeping figure.

His thoughts wandered back to the events that unfolded on the way back home. The negative thoughts came rushing in once again now that he lay in absolute silence. The only sound heard was of his mother's slow breaths.

'A mother, huh... it would have been nice if I had her support during such times...'

The greenette thought before he closed his eyes as a tear rolled down his face and onto the pillow. A sigh escaped through his dry lips.

'What should I do with you, Kacchan?'

He questioned himself multiple times, wondering if he should've stayed and listened to the name of Katsuki's twin flame.

'That would've made all this a lot easier...'

Izuku's right hand absentmindedly landed on his left shoulder, right where his Cosmos was.

'Is there a chance that...'

Just the possibility of Katsuki being his twin flame was causing the butterflies to stir in his stomach.

'But he has seen my Cosmos... when we met on my birthday... if we were twin flames, he would've told me, right?'

The greenette quickly shook his overly optimistic thoughts away, allowing all of the pessimism in him to take over. The suspense of it all was eating away at his soul bit by bit.

'But soon after that, he started acting all nice with me... is it because I am... ugh... I can't keep doing this.'

Multiple theories were being formulated in the greenette's head all at once, which were definitely not helping with his depression. The boy needed to sort this situation out as soon as possible.

Choosing to ignore Bakugo to distance himself from the blond would be an extremely rash and immature choice to opt for, especially when they had finally reconciled after years of battering. Izuku needed a proper and more practical approach to this.

'I will have to talk to him soon.'

A/N: Well... FINALLY. 😮‍💨
I was so confused as to how to write this chapter! The beginning and the end were both coming off as vague, but ok, I still managed.
