A MONTH AGO, Ena wouldn’t believe herself that she would go fishing. Because, let’s admit it, it’s not part of her aesthetic. The fishy smell of the sea would make her dizzy and would want to throw up.
But now, how did it go from that to this?
Ena was standing on a boat that was a few meters away from the shore, leaning a bit on the railings while holding a fishing rod. The hook was deep in the waters as she waited and waited to catch a fish… or something.
Todoroki Yosuke was doing the same thing, standing beside her in silence.
The girl groaned quietly, running out of patience. Her arms are going numb and the sea smell is getting in her hair, which she doesn’t like by the way.
She thought knowing or experiencing her boyfriend’s hobbies would go well but Ena doesn’t like every bit of this.
However, she doesn’t have the nerve to tell him that.
Well, she loves the guy, what can she do but to keep her mouth shut and just enjoy spending time with him.
She began to tap her foot on the wooden deck, gripping the fishing rod in her hands. She tried to tell herself she could still wait for five minutes.
Only five minutes and I would never do this anymore.
But it hasn’t been a minute when she decided to turn to Yosuke, who was still looking down on the waters like he was doing half an hour ago.
“Yosuke,” she called, earning a gentle hum from the male. He didn’t bother to look at her, causing the girl to scowl a bit.
“How long are we going to wait?” she asked, her voice trying to be as gentle as possible. She doesn’t want him to hear her whine.
“It hasn’t been an hour, Ena,” he told her.
The girl turned to the waters again, frowning as she bit her bottom lip.
This is not what she had in mind when Yosuke invited her to go to the beach.
They haven’t been spending a lot of time with each other since she’s going through an apprenticeship with her brother. She decided to be the Vice Chairman instead while Keiji would take their father’s position.
Slowly, she had come to trust her brother when she realized he had no motives to endanger her.
Ena realized it was rather nice to have a sibling.
She groaned and put the fishing rod on the ground, crossing her arms over her chest as she turned to her boyfriend.
“I’m done,” she said, “And I’m bored. I love you, but your hobby is hella boring, Yosuke. You’re like an old man, seriously.”
He finally turned to her, chuckling and his eyes twinkling in amusement, “Wow, I didn’t expect you would last for more than half an hour, love.”
Ena glared at him, “You were waiting for me to complain?”
“Yeah,” he said and also put his fishing rod on the ground, “I mean, I know you won’t like this.”
“So, you knew and you didn’t say anything?!” she scowled in disbelief.
Yosuke held a mischievous grin, causing Ena to get irritated even more, “Well, I’m proud of you. You lasted for 37 minutes.”
The girl just glared at him and didn’t say anything, causing him to laugh loudly. He walked closer to her, and put a hand on her arm.
But, Ena swatted his hand, turning away from him.
“I can’t believe you,” she scoffed.
Yosuke smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist, his chin resting on her shoulder.
It has been a month since they were together but Yosuke knew her like the back of his hand. She was easy to get mad but it was also easy to melt away.
Her father was quite impressed how Todoroki could handle her very well. Ena also changed her attitude to other people, her grumpiness had lessened.
“Sorry, it was fun teasing you,” he whispered closer in her ear.
Ena’s face reddened, biting her lower lip and closing her eyes. She was trying not to get persuaded by him.
She was irritated. She wanted to have at least an hour to be angry with him.
However, Yosuke was her heart’s weakness and she couldn’t get angry with him for so long.
“I hate you,” she muttered, her arms lowering on her sides.
“No, you don’t,” he stated, chuckling. He turned her around, finally facing him. He held her chin with his thumb and index fingers, moving her head to look up and meet his gaze.
“You’re so lucky, Todoroki Yosuke,” she said, pouting.
“I am lucky,” Yosuke smiled, leaning his forehead on hers, “Lucky to have you.”
Ena snorted, “At least you know.”
She wrapped her arms around his neck as the male put his hands on her waist, smiling at each other.
“What do you wanna do?” he asked.
Her head backed away a bit to look at his face properly and say, “I want to spend time with you.”
“We’re doing that earlier,” he teased, trying his best not to smile.
Ena glared at him, “I think you spent more time with the fishes than me. Do you want to date them instead?”
Yosuke chuckled, kissing the girl’s forehead, “I was kidding.”
“You always mock me,” she grumbled, burying her face into his chest, “You’re so lucky that I love you.”
He hummed, smiling, “Yeah, I am.”
Ena pulled away, looking up to his face. The male automatically leaned closer to her, crashing his lips into hers.
The girl moved her hands, placing it on his chest as their lips moved in sync with each other.
When she kisses him, she always gets giddy inside and her heart pounding hard in her chest.
She likes the feeling and wouldn’t trade it on anything else.
This man can make her have a lot of emotions inside her that she couldn’t describe.
But Ena knows that he’s the only one who can do that.
Todoroki Yosuke opened a lot of emotions for Ena that she didn’t even know she had.
The couple pulled away breathlessly as they stared at each other.
“I love you,” Yosuke said, causing Ena to chuckle and nod.
“I love you, too,” she said, giving him one quick kiss on the lips, “Not your hobby, though.”
Yosuke laughed, shaking his head, “I think you’ll learn to like it.”
“No, love. I don’t think I would,” Ena said, shaking her head.

Since Todoroki changed a lot and showed how much he cares for his friends, I'd like to think that he could be more expressive and playful with his S/O. In this case, with Ena, of course.
Before, Ena was the one who constantly tease him but I feel like Todoroki would be the one to get playful after admitting they love each other.
For me, their banters were kinda cute and I love their relationship.
