Y/N pov:

As the week passed by, Taehyung showed steady improvement in the hospital. He was eventually transferred to a normal ward as the risk diminished, but he still required medication and close monitoring. Jin hyung had taken care of him the previous day while I attended to some office work. Now, as I gazed at his peaceful face, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief that he was on the mend.

Tracing my finger gently over his bruised lips, I couldn't shake the lingering awkwardness between us. Despite being together for a week, we still struggled to find our rhythm in conversation, the weight of unspoken words hanging heavy in the air.

As Taehyung woke up from his slumber, his eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the light filtering into the room. "Where's Jin hyung?" he mumbled, his voice hoarse from sleep.

Before I could respond, I reached out to adjust his pillow, ensuring he was comfortable. "He left a while ago," I explained gently, brushing a stray strand of hair from his forehead. "I told him to go home and rest. I'll take care of you."

Taehyung nodded, his expression softening with understanding. "Thank you, Jagiya," he murmured, his voice laced with gratitude.

As he slowly sat up in bed, I reminded him of the exercises he needed to do to keep his body active. "Come on, Taehyung, let's do some physiotherapy," I said, trying to lighten the mood.

With my help, Taehyung gingerly swung his legs over the edge of the bed, his movements cautious as he tested his strength. It was clear that his leg wasn't fully healed yet, but he was determined to push through the discomfort.

As we prepared to leave the room for his physiotherapy session, I explained that the doctor had instructed us to start today. With a nod of understanding, Taehyung gathered his strength, ready to face the challenges of his recovery head-on. And as we made our way to the physiotherapy room, I couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope for the future, knowing that with each step forward, Taehyung was one step closer to full recovery.

As we made our way to the physiotherapy room, a red light flickered in our direction, cutting through the sterile white of the hospital corridor. I couldn't shake the feeling of unease as the light seemed to follow us, persistently targeting Taehyung. Despite my attempts to change direction, the light remained fixed on him, its intensity unnerving.

Instinctively, I guided Taehyung into the nearest room, my heart racing with a sense of urgency. His confusion mirrored my own as he questioned my actions, his gaze searching mine for answers. With the room enveloped in darkness, I found solace in the shadows, shielding us from whatever danger lurked beyond.

"What happened, Jagiya?" Taehyung's voice broke through the silence, his concern evident in his tone. Our lips just a inch away and our breath hitting eachother's face.

Without a word, I closed the distance between us, my lips meeting his in a desperate embrace. In that moment, everything else faded away—the fear, the uncertainty, the weight of the world pressing down upon us. All that mattered was the warmth of his touch, the softness of his lips against mine.

Taehyung's initial surprise melted into reciprocity as he responded to my kiss, his arms encircling me as if anchoring himself to the moment. With one hand supporting him, I pulled him closer, our bodies pressed together in a silent affirmation of our shared longing.

In the darkness, time seemed to stand still as we lost ourselves in each other, our breath mingling in the confined space. When we finally broke apart, gasping for air, Taehyung's gaze held mine, a silent acknowledgment of the unspoken emotions that hung between us even on the darkness.

With a gentle peck on my lips, he wordlessly conveyed his gratitude, his affection a balm to my restless soul. And as we stood there, bathed in the soft glow of the light filtering through the window, I knew that whatever the future held, we would face it together, bound by a love that defied all obstacles.

As we stood locked in our embrace, the darkness of the room offering a semblance of sanctuary, a sudden movement caught my eye—a shadowy figure lurking in the distance, obscured by the dim light filtering through the window. My heart lurched in my chest as I realized the danger lurking just beyond the darkness.

With a sharp intake of breath, I pulled away from Taehyung, my eyes widening in alarm as I caught sight of the man standing in the opposite building, a gun trained in our direction. Fear gripped me as I realized the imminent threat to Taehyung's safety, my mind racing with thoughts of how to protect him from harm.

As the crimson beam from the gun's sight swept across the room, my heart lurched with dread, knowing that Taehyung was its intended target. With every pass, it seemed to draw closer to him, its ominous glow casting sinister shadows against the walls.Instinctively, I pulled Taehyung under a table, shielding him from view as best as I could.

His eyes widened in alarm as he followed the trajectory of the light, his breath coming in shallow, panicked gasps."Stay down, Taehyung," I murmured urgently, my voice barely a whisper as I pressed him against the wall, my body a barrier between him and the imminent threat. He nodded, his expression a mix of fear and determination, but with a hint  of blush in his cheeks cause I'm literally all over him.

With bated breath, we watched as the red light continued its menacing dance around the room, its movements calculated and deliberate. Each pass brought it closer to us, until it hovered mere inches away, casting an eerie glow that seemed to suffuse the entire space.

As we searched the room for any sign of the assailant, our hearts pounded with a mixture of fear and adrenaline. But despite our efforts, there was no trace of them—no hint of their presence except for the ominous red light that had invaded .

As the light finally left the room, its sinister glow fading into the darkness, a heavy silence settled over us. It was then that Taehyung and I turned to each other, our voices echoing in the stillness of the room.

"They came to kill you, Taehyung," I whispered, the weight of the words hanging heavily between us.

"They came to kill me," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper as he met my gaze with a mixture of determination and fear.
As the tension lingered in the air, Taehyung and I exchanged bewildered glances, both silently questioning how the other knew about the attempt on his life. The gravity of the situation weighed heavily on us as we grappled with the realization that danger lurked closer than we had ever imagined.

"How did you know they were after you, Taehyung?" I finally voiced the question that had been gnawing at me since the encounter.

Taehyung's brow furrowed in contemplation as he considered his response. After a moment of silence, he spoke, his voice tinged with uncertainty. "I... I'm not sure. It was like... an instinct, I guess," he admitted, his words trailing off.

Before I could press him further, Taehyung's demeanor shifted, his gaze locking with mine as he made an unexpected request. "Can you lift me up, Y/N?" he asked, his tone resolute despite the vulnerability in his eyes.

Surprised by his sudden request, I hesitated for a moment before nodding, determination fueling my actions. With careful precision, I helped him to his feet, offering him the support he needed to stand tall despite the lingering threat that loomed over us.

Once he was upright, Taehyung expressed his desire to proceed with the physiotherapy session, his determination to continue his recovery undeterred by the recent turn of events. Recognizing the importance of his rehabilitation, I readily agreed, unwilling to leave him alone in the wake of the danger that had befallen us.

Together, we made our way to the physiotherapy room, our footsteps echoing in the quiet corridors of the hospital. With each step, I couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered in the air, the specter of danger haunting our every move.

As we reached the physiotherapy room, I stood by Taehyung's side, offering him unwavering support as he underwent his session. Despite the lingering fear that gnawed at my insides, I refused to let it dictate our actions, determined to see Taehyung through to a full recovery.

After the session concluded, we made our way back to our room, the weight of recent events hanging heavy between us. Yet, amidst the uncertainty and danger that surrounded us, there was also a sense of solidarity—a bond forged in the crucible of adversity that strengthened our resolve to face whatever challenges lay ahead, together.

Taehyung's POV:

As I sat beside Y/N in the hospital room, i recalled her sudden kiss that caught me off guard, stirring a whirlwind of emotions within me. Confusion mingled with curiosity as I searched her eyes for answers, longing to understand the meaning behind her impulsive gesture.

"Why did you kiss me?" I blurted out, unable to suppress my curiosity any longer. Her playful response only served to deepen my intrigue, leaving me more puzzled than before.

"Can't I kiss you?" she replied, her tone light but tinged with a hint of mischief. Despite her attempt to brush off the question, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to her actions than met the eye.

Before I could press her further, she leaned in, returning a peck with a tenderness that left me breathless. But as the warmth of her peck lingered, so too did the unanswered questions that gnawed at my mind. "Jagiya, how do you know that my life is in danger?" I asked, unable to ignore the weight of the truth that loomed over us.

Her hesitation was palpable, a flicker of uncertainty crossing her features before she offered a vague response. "I have sources, you know?" she replied, her words lacking the conviction I had hoped for.

Before I could press her further, Jungkook's arrival interrupted our conversation, bringing with it a welcome distraction from the unanswered questions that lingered between us.

Y/N pov:

As Jungkook entered the room, his expression a mix of concern and relief, Taehyung greeted him with a weak smile. "Hey, Jungkook," he said, his voice raspy . "Thanks for coming."

Jungkook returned the smile, taking a seat beside Taehyung's bed. "Of course, hyung," he replied warmly. "How are you feeling?"

Taehyung shrugged, his gaze flickering to me before returning to Jungkook. "Better, I guess," he admitted, a hint of uncertainty in his tone. "But still a bit shaken up."

I nodded in agreement, understanding the weight of the ordeal Taehyung had been through. "It's completely understandable," I interjected, offering him a reassuring smile. "But you're doing great, hyung. Just take it one step at a time."

As the conversation continued between Taehyung and Jungkook, I excused myself under the pretext of needing to make a phone call. With a quick glance back at the two of them, I slipped out of the room, the weight of the recent events heavy on my mind.

As I made my way down the hallway, my thoughts raced with plans to uncover the truth behind the attack. With determination fueling my steps, I resolved to leave no stone unturned in my quest for answers. And as I reached the hospital's security office, I knew that the journey ahead would be fraught with challenges, but I was prepared to face them head-on in order to protect Taehyung and uncover the truth.

With determination fueling my steps, I made my way to the hospital's security office, my heart pounding with a mix of anticipation and trepidation. As I approached the security desk, I flashed the guard a polite smile, masking the urgency that gnawed at my insides.

"Excuse me," I began, my voice steady despite the turmoil within. "I need to access the security footage from earlier today. There was an incident, and I believe it may be connected to a larger threat."The guard eyed me warily, but after a moment's hesitation, he nodded and motioned for me to follow him.

We made our way to the security room, where rows of monitors lined the walls, each one capturing a different angle of the hospital's corridors and entrances. As the guard pulled up the footage from the time of the incident, I leaned in closer, my heart racing with anticipation.

With bated breath, I watched as the events unfolded on screen, my eyes scanning the footage for any sign of the assailant. And then, just as I began to lose hope, a figure appeared on the screen—a shadowy silhouette lurking in the shadows of the opposite building, a gun trained in our direction.

My breath caught in my throat as I watched, my mind racing with possibilities. As I scrutinized the footage, searching for any clue that might lead me to the identity of the attacker, a sudden movement caught my eye—a flash of movement in the darkness, barely visible against the dimly lit backdrop.

With a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach, I realized that whoever had orchestrated the attack was still out there, lurking in the shadows, waiting for their next opportunity to strike. And as the gravity of the situation sank in, I knew that time was of the essence if we were to uncover the truth and protect Taehyung from further harm.

With newfound resolve, I thanked the guard and made my way back to Taehyung's room, my mind already spinning with plans to unravel the mystery of the attack.

As I reentered the room, Jungkook glanced up from his conversation with Taehyung, his expression curious.

"What's wrong, noona?" he asked, his concern evident in his voice.

I forced a smile, doing my best to mask the fear and uncertainty that churned within. "Nothing," I replied, my voice steady despite the turmoil within. "Just thinking about work."

Jungkook furrowed his brow, sensing that something was amiss. "Are you sure everything's okay, noona?" he pressed, his gaze searching mine for any sign of distress.

I nodded, offering him a reassuring smile. "Yeah, just a lot on my mind," I reassured him, hoping to quell his growing concern.

But Jungkook wasn't convinced, his instincts telling him that there was more to the story. "If there's anything you need, noona , you know you can always count on me," he said, his voice filled with sincerity.

I nodded gratefully, touched by his unwavering support. "Thanks, Jungkook," I replied, genuinely grateful for his offer of assistance.

Turning my attention back to Taehyung, I plastered on a smile, determined not to let my worries overshadow our time together. But as we resumed our conversation, my mind remained consumed with thoughts of the looming threat that hung over us, a constant reminder of the danger that lurked just beyond the hospital walls.

Next day morning:

Y/N pov

As I sat in the back of the car, the hum of the engine providing a soothing backdrop to my racing thoughts, I took a moment to glance over the profiles of the team members at the detective agency. With each passing mile, the anticipation of finally getting some answers grew stronger, tempered only by the uncertainty of what lay ahead.

As I arrived at the detective agency, I was greeted by a team of individuals who exuded an aura of professionalism and competence. The leader, Jay Park, stepped forward first, his confident demeanor and sharp wit evident even before he introduced himself.

Another figure popped up from under a table, a pen poised over a notepad. "I'm Park Sung-hoon," he announced confidently, his gaze focused on his writing.

A third individual emerged from a dimly lit corner, his attention fixed on a computer screen. "I'm Lee Hee-seung," he murmured, his fingers flying across the keyboard with practiced ease.

Their introductions were unconventional, but it was clear that these individuals were no ordinary detectives.

Then, a woman stepped out from behind a bookshelf, a notebook clutched in his hand. "I'm Kazuha," she stated simply, her eyes scanning the room with sharp observation.

Another person appeared from a nearby hallway, her expression thoughtful. "I'm Chaewon," she said softly, her presence calm and reassuring.

Lastly, a woman emerged from a side room, her demeanor commanding attention. "I'm Sakura," she declared, her voice carrying a hint of authority.

As I listened to their introductions, I felt a sense of reassurance wash over me. With this team of skilled professionals by my side, I knew we would uncover the truth behind the threat to our life.

As I explained Taehyung's case to the team, outlining the events that had transpired and the looming threat to his safety, their expressions grew more serious. I emphasized the urgency of the situation, stressing the need to apprehend the culprit before they could strike again.

After detailing the gravity of the situation, I made a request to the team. "We need someone to stay with Taehyung at all times, ensuring his safety," I explained, my tone resolute. "And we also need surveillance on the remaining family members, just to be cautious."

The team members exchanged knowing glances, silently acknowledging the gravity of the task at hand. Without hesitation, Sung-hoon stepped forward, volunteering to remain by Taehyung's side. "I'll make sure he's safe," he assured me, his voice firm with determination.

As for the surveillance on the family members, the team quickly devised a plan, assigning specific members to keep watch and gather any pertinent information. With their expertise and dedication, I knew we were one step closer to unraveling the mystery and keeping our family out of harm's way.
