Today. J high students were more enthusiastic than any other day. With postures flying around, students from other schools suddenly approaching your school as well as seniors like Dj Rupi showing up. It could only mean one thing.
It was Jae Won's tenth festival. And here you guys were, deciding who should go to the slave auction. In the original story, Zack and Daniel were the main candidates. And you doubt it will change that easily... Or not. You shouldn't have doubted it. The candidates included YOU now. Zack clearly showed his Reluctance by running a booth just to not participate, "if you hit him within one minute, you get twice the money."
Wow. Now, there were the two of you left. You and Daniel. Daniel hesitantly glanced over to you hoping that you would go to the slave auction instead.
" M/n?.."
You stroked your chin, looking at Eli's cotton candy hair who happened to be passing by. It reminded you of flowers for some reason.
"Sorry. Daniel."
You said with an inward grin. You also followed Zack's footsteps and opened a booth yourself. A flower crown booth where you made a flower crown for people and crowned them in exchange for money. And it was probably one of the most successful booths of the fashion department, because 99% of the females lined up to get crowned by you. And so. Daniel was up for the slave auction.
The reason Jae Won high is famous is because of the three stage events that happened in turns.
The first stage event was a fashion show from your department. Your eyes widened, you were genuinely horrified at the costumes. A random guy in a tank top, with a crappy ass shark hanging on his shoulders. Someone dressed like a prince, except there wasn't even any effort put in to make him look fabulous. It was just straight up... Dorky. The models cheeks were flushed red, probably from embarrassment.
And so, the second stage was the long awaited. Slave auction. You weren't really interested in it, since boys couldn't bid. Though you decided to just watch it with Zoe, Mira and Zack anyway. You raised your eyebrows at the familiar rainbow hair. Eli Jang.
"500000 won!"
You stared at him, and then widened your eyes to hear that the girls from his department saved just for him. You started chuckling, things could get pretty fun for you. You glanced at Mira, leaving cash in her hands.
"Mira, do me a favor. Bid for that guy."
Mira looked up at you, with a confused expression. Zack there on the back, seemed to be regretting that he didn't participate if Mira was going to bid.
"You won't have to go on a date with him. Please? 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮."
Zack started glaring at you. Who were you to get close to Mira? Who were you to refer to her casually? Who were you to be chased around by Mira?
You chuckled and flared back at Zack. You softly grabbed her hands, to which her face flushed in surprise.
"510000 won!"
Mira raised her hand due to the pressure. She understood that you may have a reason to do it, or you're just fucking bored. Either way, Mira was an angel.
The girls from the beauty department started to glare at Mira, discussing how much more they could go up in the bid.
"600000 won!"
The girls proudly bid their highest, and Mira looked at you hesitantly and whispered.
"You're going to waste a lot of money..."
"Use it all. It's for charity anyways."
She seemed to be glad you were doing it for charity. She pinched your ear with a glad sigh of relief.
"You're really kind. M/n."
The bidding was coming to an end before you chuckled. Mira really made you want to protect her, so you could understand... Zack? Ah that's right. He was fuming steam, from how angry he was. He looked like a ticking time bomb trying his best not to explode. He wasn't really a fan of you being all lovey dovey with Mira but decided to hold back.
"2500000!"
Eli looked at Mira, a bit shocked. The girls from the beauty department grunted in defeat. There was no way they would have that much money. You grinned and pat Mira on the head.
"Thanks."
Mira stared at you for a second, and smiled back at you. Mira was a really good character in lookism. She's likeable. You normally hated girls who didn't know their place, but Mira was just purely kind. Though, this wholesome moment was interrupted by the boy who came down from the stage.
"Uh. Am I needed here?"
Mira looked at you, as if to tell you to solve your own problem. She grinned and pointed at you.
"This guy next to me is the one who bid for you. I'm just his mascot."
Eli Jang looked at you in confusion. Why would a guy, especially like you bid that amount for him?
"Hi. I'm your date. Follow me."
You grinned and left, just like that. Eli Jang followed along in confusion, and you guys disappeared. Leaving the rest of the group confused. You led him to the parking lot. To do one thing. Fight him. But why the parking lot? Simple. To spy on gun and Daniel. You were pretty sure they wouldn't come too soon yet. And Eli Jang caught up, still looking confused.
"Eli. Let's fight."
His eyes widened at the sudden request.
"I'm sorry? I don't like to fight.."
He says with a smile on his face. Ah right. You forgot that Eli Jang avoided fighting at all costs in the beginning. But just as you were about to speak, you heard footsteps. Daniel? Crystal? They must've came after winning Daniel on the bid. Though you didn't expect them to come so soon. You grabbed Eli and dragged him to hide behind a car before they could find you, and silenced him by covering his mouth. He was probably confused with everything happening, heck he might even mistake you for a pervert.
You kept watch, and indeed. Daniel, Crystal and Gun who was protecting her were all gathered. It's a weird combination if you've read the story.
"Thank you.. I was almost sold to the other girl..."
Daniel scratched the back of his neck, smiling with gratefulness. It seemed like crystal wasn't having it though.
"Hey you."
"What about her? What good are you?"
Crystal scorned at him and started to utter out bitter remarks. She was partially right... But it kind of annoyed you. She was always like that even the story. She thinks everyone is all over her just because she's pretty. As if it's a natural thing.
"Don't ignore people just because you're handsome."
Crystal says with a bitter tone before returning. And just as in the story. Daniel tried to stop her, to explain the misunderstanding. Though, Gun caught his hand, which Daniel swung away. Leaving Gun and Crystal shocked. Gun proceeded to kick Daniel successfully by changing the angle last minute. And Vasco should be appearing by now..
You waited for Vasco for a few seconds, your hand still on Eli's mouth. At this rate, Eli just decided to stay still. Vasco showed no signs of coming.. Why? Ah. Because you interfered with the plot. This was getting troublesome, you jumped out of the car, leaving Eli. Crystal gasped, but Gun didn't seem surprised.
"You finally came out? Peeping rats."
He smirked as he approached you, and your mind was meddled. You were currently going to go against 𝗚𝘂𝗻. Most likely the strongest in Lookism. You know what? You decided to just do what the fuck you want from this moment. The plot was fucked anyways.
Just then, Vasco appeared drinking his chocolate milk. Ah, so he was appearing after all. Problem was, you already meddled.
"I saw everything you bad jerk."
Vasco said with a determined look on his face. Gun looked at all of you and sighed.
"Who are you? Their friend?"
"Yeah. I'm their friend."
Daniel sat at the ground in shock, the fact that you popped out of nowhere and he was called a friend for the first time. Vasco set down his chocolate milk as he continued to stride forward.
"So. You are going to get scolded by me."
Before he could probably finish that sentence, Gun punched him in the face. But gun retracted his hands, to face the guy behind him.
"𝙎𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙙?"
"𝙔𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙢𝙚?"
The Russian man approached Vasco, clenching his fist.
"What? M/n? What's wrong?"
Vasco looked concerned for you. Though he probably didn't know, that it wasn't you.
"𝙈/𝙣?"
"𝙄'𝙢 𝙑𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙮𝙚𝙫."
