The Eurovision Song Contest 2024

Norway (semi 1)

I think there were two songs that would definitely qualify to the final and they went through, so that's a positive. This is my ranking of the three finalists!
I'm not so sure about the Gothmeister. The song itself wasn't great. The biggest problem though is children do watch (probably only the start but still), Eurovision and my brother was terrified by this song. So I believe that is the biggest factor as to why it will loose points.
Oblivion was a great song. The performance worked. The only problem is it's competing with Sweden. It is so close to a Swedish song, too close. If the jury/ audience has to choose between an almost identical song from Sweden or Norway, they will choose Sweden due to them hosting and their legacy.
Aya was amazing. Unlike the other two, I believe this can do something in the final. Everything was on point! My only fear, is it too of brand for Norway. It's latin pop and that means it will be competing with Spain and (now) Greece. Again, people will choose those two countries in this style over Norway. I hope the added Norwegian vibe (that at least I got) will seperate them.
