This rating might change based on the other songs but so far I like it. That's not really saying much because I always like the French entries.
The lyrics are brilliant from a linguistic view. He has picked up on the need to communicate through language barriers and the need to use your language. Then he has included some phrases that everyone will know and that feel so French. I am big on lyrics so this is a big tick. That repetition of my love works so well and just by reading the English lyrics you can feel the passion. I love it!!

His voice really carries this song in such a passionate and emotional way. His voice is exceptional. You believe the lyrics. Everything he does contributes to the feeling of the song and that is one of the most effective tools to use that most people can't use. To proove my point Marco Mengonni uses this emotion in his songs and lookwhere he came: 4th!
I think France will do well this year. The staging needs to change but this is just a music video, hopefully they can get a better staging then last year and as an even bigger ask, one that fits the theme of the song.
Another worry is that France have released this too early. As more come into the picture will they slip into the pack and be forgotten? What will the long gap before any more music is released do? Will people grow to love it more? Or get bored?
Have they released it this early to showcase this on junior Eurovision???
